Sold my old Pinhauler … as I bought it new from a Dealer in Portland, OR in 2000.
18years later; it was sold to a guy in SanAntonio for $3k with only 93k miles (no that isn't a typo or missing a 1).

old Pinhauler - Dodge Dakota 2000old Pinhauler - Dodge Dakota 2000

Given my old truck lasted 18years; and I litterly kept it running without issues - I decide I deserved a new F150. It had to have adaptive cruise control and given only KingRanch or better has that option in 2018... I decided to treat myself to a 2018 F150 Raptor since there was only an additional 10k for a Raptor.

Yeah; way more than I wanted to spend... but given this one will hopefully be with me until Retirement... worth it.

Quoted from robertmee:

Almost bought one myself...wish they had of kept the V8 instead of the ecoboost. Still a very nice looking truck.

I think you still can special order the V8; but why?
The gas mileage is already horrid on the V6 Turbo... I wouldn't even want to think about the V8 version.
Mine will probably never see the sandunes of a desert; but who knows - maybe I'll take it off road one day.

I'm actually LOLing at all the V6 h8tred. I get it... 8 is better than 6.
My first truck/car was a 1970ish crap brown Datsun pup... 4 cyl gutless wonder.
It fell apart; so I got a 1980ish Nissan (IIRC) p'up. Still a 4 cyl gutless wonder.
I drove a Izusu 4cyl through-out college and for the first 4 years of my professional career. I finally donated it when I got my first new V6 Dakota. Compared to those gutless wonders the Dakota and now the Raptor are worlds better.

Do I care that it's not a V8; not really because unlike a collector's item that's going to sit in my Garage … this Raptor is my daily driver. I actually DO care about gas mileage. I know it seems silly to a lot of you; but I'd blaspheme the Car heads here for a detune of the twin Turbo V6 in my raptor to gain another 5 - 10 MPG like the original eco boost in the stock F150s. I'm also going to consider Street Tires when the stock offroad tires wear out... ESP if it helps with MPG and for me to remove the speed governor.

Quoted from MrBally:

Wouldn't you want to remove the speed limiter on the V8 for an even higher top speed

When I swap tires, governor will be gone. But the stock off-road tires are rated for only 100.

Really? I thought the regular eco boost was like 24 mpg on the highway.
At best my raptor gets like 18. 14 in the city
