Very interesting niche. Wonder how it differentiates from the Mazda or BMW coupes that would fit in this category.
Yes, the drivetrain is from Volvo. They used it to keep project cost and owner maintenance costs down.
The remake currently being produced uses the same 3 liter in-line 6 with twin turbos.

Noticed they have an unusually high number of owners in most cases compared to normal cars. Even with low miles, clear records, etc.
Maybe the fun and woah factor wears off when it is time to pay for insurance/service/gas etc.

Doesn’t the plastic trap moisture and make the car corrode or is it a temp/humidity-controlled space you have?
