Out for burgers in the 911 I’ve called “Zoidberg” because it has a “Lobster Red” interior.

Wow, great photo! On the second glance, I noticed you can even see the driver’s (you, I assume) face. I’d have it on a wall. Beautiful car and fantastic pic!

Got the Austin out for one last drive and now she’s tucked away in the garage. Small cars are handy.

And had the Viper out for a last wash of the season and while I cleaned up the garage.
Ready for some exhaust work this winter…

Yes that’s me! Thanks, I’m looking for any excuse to drive it. Really enjoy winding it up to 5K RPM and hearing it sing.

Dang, no way would I be able to get that out. Did you use jacks?

Solid rear axle so I just push it in until the front bumper almost hits the wall and then just jack up the rear and push it in.
Easy 1 man job, only takes a few minutes.

Last after 18 years of sitting I got the Malibu running. I soaked the cylinders with Marvel Mystery Oil, the next day I could turn the crank so I bought a battery and cranked her over for 5 minutes. I put the plugs back in and splash of gas a few times and she lit up. Next I bled the brakes. My goal was to get it running and stopping to get a four post lift installed.

Awesome cars in this thread! I always wanted a muscle car (GTO or Chevelle SS especially) but secondary to that I've always wanted a Jaguar. Bought this one (2007 S Type) a few years ago for a nice price. Just this week we were gifted this 2001 CLK320 from my wife's parents who are moving into an adult community and don't need two cars anymore. Both are RWD so nice and zippy and really fun to drive.

My wife would prefer that I sold one just to reduce garage/driveway/backyard traffic but I really can't decide. For one, even though they're both right around 100K miles and nice interiors, neither are worth much money at all, maybe $5K each on a good day. Maybe. The Mercedes feels more sports car, short and low to the ground, tight handling. The Jaguar is more luxury sedan, but damn that thing books. And the interior is gorgeous, cream leather with wood panels.

Seems stupid to keep and pay insurance on two cars when I work at home and basically drive them to the liquor store or CVS or whatever else I don't need the minivan for, but I really don't want to give either up, especially since I'm probably looking at $4K for either. Rather keep 'em and have fun zipping down Rt. 2 in the middle of the night.

Hmm. My wife is on Pinside... how much did she pay you to post this?

But seriously, thanks for the offer, but after a week of making my case to keep both cars I think I finally won and need to enjoy the fruits of my labor for now.

Notice I took my post down pretty quickly As I couldn't really think about having that jaguar sit outside of my modest 2 car garage home

Anyone in the SF Bay Area what to trade a DMD or newer pinball machine for a super fun, street legal (registration paid to April 2023) DUNE BUGGY? Need room in my garage for more pins so it has got to go. Maybe +/- a little cash? Looking for an IM or even a Mando.

I still am going to go test drive the new platform just to see how it handles

Ok so I scheduled a test drive a few days ago for the new Subaru WRX platform. I have been waiting for the dealerships to get a manual transmission WRX to test drive and it took awhile because all the models coming in were sold. Many dealers had automatics but I want a manual-so automatics would not be worth testing for me. I ended up test driving a limited edition WRX with manual transmission. The first thing I noticed was how comfortable the seats were. You literally sink into them while having good support. Second thing I noticed was a fantastic exhaust note when the car was started-sounds pretty good for factory. Driving the car really surprised me of how much I liked it. My wife and son really liked it and wanted to take it home right away. The thing I noticed the most was how much smoother it was than my current WRX. The shifting was very smooth and the ride seemed more comfortable. The models they have coming in are all 2022 models so it looks like Subaru is still playing catch up from the factory. I always prefer to purchase the newer model year vs older model year towards the end of the year. Why buy a 2022 when the 2023 are about to come in? Also the dealers are not giving any deals-still full MSRP. Still waiting to check out the new Toyota Corolla GR but the WRX is definitely on my radar.

Subaru made a huge mistake switching the auto WRX to a CVT. What a crap transmission. Manual all the way!

Every state and province has their own rules. Here in ontario helmets are required. However, in same places it's perfectly fine without.

Personally I'd suggest wearing one, not worth the risk of any road debris (even a pebble) as there is no real windshield.

As for the color, it's actually been wrapped. The original orange is brighter and the black is gloss with accent striping. On mine the orange has been muted and darkened, and the black (except the hood) has been changed to matte.

My little fleet. Debating what to do next. Have 17k free and clear of the wife. If I want a normal sized car the mondial qv would get sold but I like it. Could theoretically fit a kei car. Kicked around the idea of an az1 but would have to sell something like banzai run. Don't play it anyways but if I park a 4 car in the garage it's gonna be tight and a pain to shuffle around what I am driving.
