Quoted from Spyderturbo007:I flew down to Atlanta two weekends ago and drove back this F-Type S British Design Edition. 1 of only 300 made. I've never heard a better sounding car.
Common'.... you know the Volvo kicks it! (:

I was wondering when you where going to recommend Volvo. I really like yours, BTW, and love the passion for it.

If only I could find me someone to put in an LS6...

I'm sure plenty will do it, but it will take money and time; like everything else custom. It doesn't need to be a hot rod anyway.

LOL! I love the P1800. It just needs to do a few burnouts.

I need an LS for my Land Cruiser so I can do a four wheel burnout. Nevermind, I would just break it.
Quoted from someotherguy:on that exhaust note
The exhaust note on the F-types are very unique and throaty. You can hear them ripping down the streets and they sound really good. Loud but not obnoxious. I heard a sweet exhaust note coming from a tuned out GTI yesterday that sounded great as well. Love me a fine tuned exhaust note. I can always here the wife driving up our street in the STI from a block away.
Quoted from someotherguy:Love those new F-Types.
Pretty sure Jaguar spent more development money on that exhaust note than some makers spent on their entire cars.
Richard
I have to agree with you on that one. The soundtrack of the car makes me completely forget that the stereo is absolutely terrible. To be honest, I really don't turn on the radio much unless I'm in traffic. Definitely not when I've taken her out on some windy back roads.
Quoted from SilverUnicorn:I find these to be one of the most beautiful modern convertibles made. Nice pickup!
Chris
Thanks Chris. I really fell in love with the look, the sound and the fact that most people don't even know what it is.

We'll have to get together and have a convertible drive.......if my wife's VW is worthy

Do I sense a convertible match race in the making in Pennsylvania?

Absolutely! You’ll get no discrimination from me.
Quoted from littlecammi:Do I sense a convertible match race in the making in Pennsylvania?
I'd join the cabriolet cruise if the border was open for me to cross.

topless is the only way to ride
Quoted from littlecammi:Do I sense a convertible match race in the making in Pennsylvania?
That'd be fun, but that F-Type would destroy the VW.
Chris

We took the Eos to Niagra on the Lake one summer. It seemed like Canadians had never seen one before. it got a while lot of looks. One night we were eating outside at a local restaurant and watched at least 5 people stop and check it out. They are fairly common here in PA, I see a bunch of them by us, but maybe not everywhere.

They weren't very common, but they're around.
Generally speaking there just isn't a ton of convertible vehicles left (unless you go high end). Add to that, we typically don't have a lot of summer months to enjoy them north of the border.
Unless of course you're crazy like me and use it all year long
Quoted from Shredso:I've wanted a Corvette since I was a kid.
I got my first Corvette wave today. I didn't realize that was a thing. I'm going to have to drive around for days trying to find the guy so I can wave back, I feel like a jerk. Ha!
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Ha ha......I know what you mean, I did the same thing when I first got mine 18 years ago. Took me a while to figure out whey they were waving in the first place. Bikers do the same thing, or at least sometimes. I noticed Jeep guys doing it too.
John

How's it coming along? Waiting for you to post those pics of cruising it down your local main-street soon (;

I did quite a few times back in the 70's and 80's even Bonneville 2 times where I topped out at 150mph. Here it is in 89 going up to BIR in Minnesota when it was black. The picture of before it was black it was Grabber Orange and again at BIR but in 1980.

Yes it was, hot car and hot gf. Ah for my younger years. hahahahahahaha
Paul your Mustang looks amazing and you did a fantastic job with it. If I had to choose between those three cars-I would pick yours. Really like the aggressive flares, etc. I have enjoyed watching your build-keep up the good work!
Quoted from SilverUnicorn:NICE! Does that have the V8 in it? Those things sound incredible.
Chris
No, it's just the 380HP V6. I didn't want to shell out the extra $10k for the V8 and figured that 540HP would probably get me in more trouble that I'm going to get into with this thing.
It still sounds amazing. I don't know how much time they spent perfecting the exhaust sound, but they did an incredible job.
I love mine!!!! Same as yours except a coupe instead of the vert. Mine is that 380HP F-Type S also

Beautiful!
I was lucky to get one of the British Design Editions. They only made 300 of them from my research.
Quoted from Brainiac:my latest
I love that color and awesome ride-it reminds me of the 2015 WRX STI color(very unique and stands out)
I still want one in the Ultra Violet color-one of my favorite car/color combos to this day that has stuck in my head...

Its a sweet GT
Quoted from Fulltilt:And some old Fiesta love.

I had a 90 Festiva just a few years ago. Similar to the Fiesta, that thing was a blast to drive. Powerslides on dirt roads were fun.
Quoted from Fulltilt:Found one of the rare photos I took of my Prelude.
Prelude. That's a car you get before you get something else to drive.
Have a couple cars for sale if anyone is interested. 1970 Real AAR Cuda and a 1955 TBird. Both very nice cars. Will link to the adds here.

True. My buddy who had "rich family" in Cheyenne, Wy had a prelude, just like that. Not the Calvert Clan style. He upgraded to a 89 IROC. Yea we rocked it!!

I was going for the joke value based on the actual definition of the word "prelude."
Re-doing my pro street 1964 Nova SS. Car is at the rod shop now. Engine is at the engine shop.
Reworked the roll cage. Added swing-out side bars. New quarter panels. New supercharged 510 CI BBC going on the dyno before fitting it into the chassis with motor plates.
Car has narrowed 9" rear with a 4-link suspension and wishbone locator. Wilwood disc brakes on all 4 corners. Slamming the car lower. Narrowed & raised frame rails with Heidts Mustang II front suspension.
