I picked up a 68 LTD brougham with 428 at an estate sale in spring, previous owner had stripped it down for resto, but got sick, sadly haven't had much time to work on it,

Until i bought this Rampside.
Not too many of these in Australia i tell ya.,
My bikes are my love though, currently an XL250 new trail bike for exercise, my Rocker C that i've had since near new and customised a fair bit, a Ducati 1098 that i've had for 6 months and a Guzzi MKIV that i'e had for more than twenty years.[quoted image][quoted image]

They look like they are in storage! Bust em out, clean em up,and then post pics!!

Hey there everyone! These are my two Z’s, my 2010 370Z NISMO (#0699) and my 1988 300ZX. I love the adventures I take with these cars. In June of 2014, we did the Bullrun Rally (NY-AZ). Every May since I’ve owned a Z car, I travel from NY to NC for a week long event hosted in the Great Smokey Mountains for hundreds of Z cars. More recently in April 2019, Nissan asked us in the New York Z Car Club to display our cars outside the Jacob Javits Center in NYC to celebrate 50 years of the Z Car at the New York International Auto Show!

Just an update for those who wanted them.

Car has been back from Z1 for a few months. Couldn't be more pleased with the dyno results.

I visited the local body shop today to pay my car a visit and throw more money at it.

Hope to be driving it here soon before the last bit of summer fades away.

I watched the reveal and the car just didnt do it for me, Maybe it was the angle, or the lighting, but it just seemed so bland.

Then I saw some better pics and that interior!!! I'm not really a Chevy guy, but well done!

It really looks amazing, and fits right in with the super cars. I am a little disappointed that they will not offer in a manual option, but I will need to test drive and see how I like it. I went to the build your own 2020 website and ended up building one in white-looks sharp.

Hey thanks guys. I'd like to post video but I don't have anything to shot HD video with, standard def looks like crap and I don't have anyway to upload it also. It's hard to believe but those American CP 200 rims are 37 years old and still look perfect. Every fall they would come off the car and get totally cleaned and waxed and kept in the house then back on in the spring. I have been offered A LOT of money for them but I will never sell. Was a busy day. I putting roller bearing spring perches on, they will help the suspension react faster. Thinking abput putting electric power steering on.

Did anyone here get a chance to go to that massive 200+ car auction in MN this weekend? WOW!

https://www.vanderbrinkauctions.com/auction/day-2-approx-100-collector-cars-trucks-the-james-graham-collection/

I've got a 4 door Chevy Delray sitting in my work shop. I picked it up a couple years ago and it wasn't running at the time. Haven't touched it since. This will be my first car to play with.

What do I need to know to get this thing running? New tires for sure, as they are all flat and it's sitting up on blocks. Clean out the carb, remove any old gas if there is anything in there still, new oil, change all filters, new battery, make sure the engine turns over by hand correct? And fire it up? It's got a "blue flame" straight six in it.... I think that's correct..... I'll have to look again. Oh, new spark plugs too probably.....

Didn’t go, but I looked through each car online ahead of the auction... pretty neat stuff.

You are on the right track for getting the car fired up. Once it fires, replace all the fluids, and any soft lines, especially brakes.

I'd pull the spark plugs and put some marvel mystery oil in the cylinders since it's a straight six before turning it over. Those cylinder walls are dry if it's been sitting awhile.

You may need to clean out the fuel lines. New plugs, points, and condenser, would also help with start up. Good advice would to have a medium sized fire extinguisher next to the car. If the carb leaks due to aged gaskets/seals, keep an eye on that. Or if there is an electrical fire under the dash.

Getting the engine to start is one thing. Brakes, wheel bearings, U-joints, ball joints, might need service, at the minimum, inspected.

Got my first Rotary a few weeks ago... runs great. Just put it on the Quickjack for some bulletproofing... Starter, plugs, coils, wires, fluids, etc.

I find myself looking for roads that aren’t straight now....

Quoted from ralphwiggum:

Loved my RX-7. I cried when an idiot ran me into a wall.

The Hot August Nights event just wrapped up in Reno. An amazing number of cars in four distinct areas in town.
Last year's poster car was on display. The owner let Ballykid sit inside it. Supposedly worth over $300K. Beautiful vehicle.
