edcianci, I've always admired your car collection. I remember you posting on rgp about this car or that. You've got a really nice collection. I've been thinking about a bel air but the prices are dropping so fast, at least around here. Here's my latest purchase a 67' caddy convertible. My son and I have debated if Would could get an EM in there.lol. Todd Scott
Quoted from rotordave:Car racing makes pinball seem very cheap.
The tyres for my race RX7 were $700 a pop. I can buy a whole pin for that and it lasts longer than a weekend.
I'm happy to say that my helmet has been hung up for now.

I so want a rx7 one day. Maybe next on the list!

Now that's a cool American car.
Everyone, go get yourself a cool caddy or Lincoln and cruuuuuuise around the country. Sweeeet ...

Quoted from TheLaw:Have they upgraded to the newer engine in 2017 STi? That's one of the things that kept me from going up to the STi...I didn't have enough extra monies to make it worth it to me, but it was nice. Did you get the big wing for it? Keeping the white/black look?
Well it is a bit of a Jekyll and Hyde situation. Subaru is changing the classic boxer engine for 2018 and incorporating a hybrid engine for the next generation WRX. Subaru is going to pair a 2.0 liter flat-four with an electric motor and dual-clutch six speed manual transmission, all of which would provide 322 horsepower and over 35 mpg. How it will drive compared to the 2017 is to be determined? Yes the wing comes with the STI, switching it up this time and going with pure Red.
Recently found a way to address my gear head side without adding more
classic cars to the stable. LeMons racing! I've been part of a team for a
couple of years now and we field a Jensen-Healey and '98 Mustang. Both
are very competetive.
For those that may not have heard of LeMons, its a cross between NASCAR
and Ren Fairs. It is serious, endurance racing with a humorous twist.
If anyone is interested check out 24hoursoflemons.com
The basic idea is buy a car for no more than $500 and turn it into a
full blown race car. Some VERY creative engineering on display at races.

Hey Paul, nice ride (oh yeah, the Mustang too).
I am putting together a stereo system for my ride. I was referred to this website for some good deals on car audio and thought I would pass it along. Also if you call and speak with a sales representative they will help with selecting products and usually can give you a discount on your order-just ask. Some really good prices on high quality products...
Quoted from Travish:Lot of cool cars here but no one is saying how long they have had them or how much they paid. Had my big Buick Riviera 27 years and paid $400. Here is a before shot. My son is 27 now.
Cool pic, you should take another pic of him standing on it now.
Quoted from AlexSMendes:Hey Paul, nice ride (oh yeah, the Mustang too).
Yup she sure was, she's loooong gone. (the car too and it will be back from the shop this coming spring better then ever).

Was? Hope everything's ok nowadays!!!

Added to my post above. Also very close to 400hp 302cid, not bad for a streetable motor and a car that weights 3100lbs.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaah 7 person seating!! Those were the days. Who needs a mini van/SUV anyways?? Pssssssssssssssssh!!
Quoted from Bos98:My "ride" is a 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse GST Spyder. Unmolested and while it has no real value to anyone other than me I keep it nice.
This would have real value to me!! One of the iconic turbo cars of the 90's IMO and a spyder to boot. Such a shame to never, ever see these anywhere else but the junkyard. I deal in engine management software for these and other DSM turbo cars. Even with that I don't see many of them because the customers don't drive them very far. Every once in awhile one will show up to the shop. She's beautiful man!! Is she stock?
Quoted from pinmister:I purchased a new Subaru WRX last year and it is the funnest car I have ever owned. With the all-wheel drive and turbo it is a blast to drive. It is like it is on rails when it turns a corner, I cant seem to get it to slide or wobble even at high speeds. The six speed manual is an absolute must for this car. The Subaru WRX is also a great family car and it fits my kids well in the back seats. I have enjoyed this car so much that I have decided to upgrade to the STI version. I currently have one on order from the Subaru factory in Japan that is being built with some extra performance goodies. For those of you that have driven a Subaru-there is something about them that makes them special and usually turns people into Subaru lovers. I remember growing up my family had a Subaru Brat, that car was indestructible and a blast to drive.
I also am a big Toyota guy- I have a new Tundra, and 4Runner that I use for hauling pins.
Hey! A fellow Scoob owner!! I had always wanted a first gen WRX since I first saw the JDM model released in 99. We didn't get them until 02 which is what mine is. Ever since the day that I bought it, it has been a love/hate relationship. I love the car but hate everything that it's put me through. If you start modding, prepare to break stuff!! Over the past 7 years I have slowly built it up and it is now over 500hp and driven daily. If you think you are having a blast with yours, you will either love this thing even more or be afraid of it and spinning all four tires from a slow roll into boost or from a dig is a massive adrenaline rush. I too grew up with a Brat. My father had one and used to take my best friend and I down beat up dirt roads at full speed strapped into the bed seats lol. Good times!! Later down the road my mom owned a GL.

I remember going down the road as a kid in our Brat and pretending the truckbed seats were like Spy Hunter or Star Wars and using the handles to shoot at cars driving behind us. The Brat was also a great four wheel drive vehicle, we climbed some steep hills and jumped some dunes at high speeds. It was a very capable and reliable car/truck for it's time. The removable T-Tops also made it great for cruising.

I don't know about the later Brats but the first ones in 1978 were completely gutless.

Ours was a 1986 and it had a ton of torque. I remember climbing steep sand dune hills and making it to the top while larger Chevrolet's and Ford's often would get stuck. It was a tank

Excellent trade!! I've always wanted a late 70's to mid eighties turbo 911 but with four kids I've got two years left until they go off to college so the four door has to stay until then. Also doesn't help that the prices on them are through the roof and rising.

Yes, prices on the air cooled are skyrocketing. ... ours is a 2009, 3.2L and yes, it coincides with 2 college graduations
Autocross a few weekends ago. My best time was actually with my wife in the car on my very last run.

Not a pin hauler by any means, but my daily driver.
2017 A4 with all of the goodies.
Have a nice little tune on it and this bad boy is all wheel drive and pushing almost 400 horsepower, but I can still get 30+ mpg!
And then there is the "fun" car. 69 Camaro, 4 speed. Awesome car, just getting ready to put it away for the season.

Love the Audi's - below is my daily driver (first pic I took right after washing and putting her away in the garage) and below that is my brides S5. Pic of her Volcano Red S5 is a trip we took with my buddy who has a silver S5
Somehow I got the slower car BUT, I gotta tell you, I absolutely LOVE the A7
