I don't have pictures on my phone now. But mine is a 46 Willys Jeep 2a. Also my fire department has a 34 Diamond T pumper which I love to drive. I will post pictures tomorrow.
I am not sure which vehicle would win in a race because both have top speed of about 40 MPH, not that either need to go faster!
It's a work van
A very nice work van. Packed with leather, acoustic glass, a touchscreen & semi-autonomous driving.
Feels like I arrive to jobsites in a limo lol.
My cousin didn't believe I sit upon my leather throne & snack upon aged cheese, dried meats & sparkling water whilst listening to lectures from "The Great Courses" (or Post Malone) inbetween appointments so I sent him the pic below hahaha.
The thing floats.
Silently.
It's like a secret luxury car.
I mean work van
Not from a car or truck but thought it would be appreciated. Didn't get to hear what the root cause was but you can see the scoring. It's from a 20 cyl. natural gas GE genset. I've had my share of low compression dished pistons running supercharges, but this dish takes the cake.

I used to look forward to seeing that kind of stuff come in back when we had a machine shop. Made it easy to decide what cars to stay away from once you saw a pattern of destruction.

Best truck ever made!
I do have a word of advice...my 2018 Tacoma windshield just got hit by a rock on the highway and cracked the windshield. I called my aftermarket windshield guy I have used in the past to inquire about a new windshield. He told me that it is too new for aftermarket and that the lane changing departure radar system on the windshield requires re-calibration. Long story short it is going to cost me nearly $1200 for a new factory windshield with re-calibration. I about shit my pants, I am used to paying $250 for a new windshield. I also found out that the dealer offers a windshield protection plan for $399 for 5 years. After I spend $1200 on a fricking windshield I will fork over $399 for the warranty. If you have not gotten the windshield warranty-call the dealership and have it added on before you are in the same boat as me ):

Wow, that sucks. My 2017 TRD Off Road 4x4 has a cracked windshield too. Started at the top and is slowly getting longer. The 17's didn't have the lane departure available available so mine should be around $300-350 I think. It does have the Go-Pro mount so gotta make sure that's included. I've heard this latest generation is very prone to cracked windshields. My 2007 Tacoma had 178,000 miles and never a crack, even with some pretty good rock hits. This one seemed to crack for no reason, just appeared one morning. Insurance should cover it though.
Drove 5 hrs out to New Mexico to pick this up yesterday. Its a 91 LX 5.0. AT car 2 owner. The first owner was an engineer in his 50's and he sold it to his mechanic, who I bought it from him and was his wife's daily driver. These are hard to find not abused. Wish it was a manual, but honestly if it was, it wouldn't be this clean and original. Will be a fun project.
A good pairing with my Roadmaster Wagon.

Now you need to find a Dodge A100 pick up, and you will have set.

Very awesome and hard to find clean and assume stock? Nice score and love the white! What are you plans with it? As you know you can still do some mild bolt ons and have a fun/reliable car. My 89 LX (Dark maroon with Welds) was just bolt ons. Stock AOD w/Converter and mild shift kit, 4.10's, full exhaust, intake and 1.7's netted me 20-22mpg on the highway and mid 13's all day. I miss that car and daily'd it for 2 years in the early 2000's. Few pics of my old 90LX, 89LX and 93GT.
Great looking cars. I prefer the stripper LX look to the GT, but glad there's both.
This has 195 k miles, very stock, not a drip or leak. I could easily drive it another 50k without a problem. I looked at a few built cars, many with what I would do, and realized if I went that way, all the fun would be taken away.
I'm going to eventually do a manual swap, 5lug cobra brake upgrade, full suspension, probably QA1, then rebuild the engine with heads/cam/intake. Maybe a 347 stroker. Its really an excuse to buy parts and tinker. I'm not in any hurry, I bought solid car so I could enjoy it as a driver and keep it off the road minimally as I accumulate parts.
I love the white but its honestly my 2nd choice. I really want it dark emerald green. 93 cobra wheels in gold or black (I can't afford those 4k Maker's versions but they are so nice), no center cap probably a custom tail and hood I design.
For the next year or so, the focus will be braking/suspension/interior small things. The upside is I was able to get in an affordable car that's not destroyed. It won't go down in value, so if I find a green manual I might swap out if I haven't installed parts yet.

I have had USAA insurance for 20 plus years and they have taken good care of me, but unfortunately I have a $1000 deductible and USAA does not offer a windshield replacement warranty. Dropping $1500 tomorrow morning for a new windshield and warranty, I think I will bring some KY or Vaseline with me. I am really pissed off that the dealer did not offer the warranty to me when I purchased the truck. If anyone buys a new vehicle with lane departure radar-make sure to ask for a windshield warranty.
Take a minute, go back to page 1 of this thread and review... it's amazing what's here from Pinsiders.
Hey club members any of you guys have any car parts from cars you've owned (besides license plates) hanging on your garage walls? I'll start, a door skin off my Mustang when I raced it on the Bonneville Salt flats back in 92 and 2 fenders that I had a guy try making metal flairs for them. They wern't big enough so I hung um on the wall.
Quoted from MrBally:Those Mustang body panels are sweet.
Thanks. I know it's a "little" out of the ordinary to have this kind of stuff hanging on the wall but I payed for them so I'm darn well gonna use um the one way or another.
Not nearly as pretty, here's my "hall of fame"
Two clutches and a pressure plate from my sons TT One was the original that had about 155k and the other is the replacement "high performance" one that cost quite a bit more than stock. He got about 20,000 miles out of it. Let me tell you, transverse powertrains on an AWD car are no fun to R&R a transmission on.
Finally, there is a gear. First gear to be precise, from my '01 Beetle Turbo. I let my son use it when he started driving legally (and I use that term loosely). Unfortunately, he learned my sins and was having lots of fun in an open parking lot with several inches of snow and a layer of spotty ice below the snow. What any 16 year old motorhead would do such as reverse donuts (it's FWD) and other stuff. He obviously was slamming between reverse and first or 1st & 2nd and went from no traction to full traction. After that, the car never went into 1st gear again. He comes home and says: "uh, dad, I think we need to adjust the shift linkage as something isn't right"....
The pictures of the gear tell the story. That was another fun project....
At least him being a motorhead and teaching him car repairs has made him unafraid to tackle any vehicle repair jobs. He now repairs my cars for me so I don't complain at all.

Ouch that was a costly lesson.
Quoted from dmacy:Wish I’ve saved parts like you as it’s a great idea. The best I have is an original 03 Terminator rod but not from my 03. Obviously the rainbow is not from oil!
EDIT: Added a picture of a low mileage rod I have too.
Wow, what did the piston and crank look like? That thing could have broken at any time.

Ouch!
You did see my son's similar issue in posts 1206 & 1209, correct? Dealer wanted a little over $11k (more that the car cost when he bought it three years earlier). We did it ourselves and went beyond stock with forged rods for less than $4k (we valued our labor at $0/hr though).
Yep, that car belongs to a guy I know - late model Challenger - these engines are known for not tolerating much boost on the stock bottom end. I don't know if he had spent the money to go forged or not, but it's possible there were some issues with the builder. I already sent him some info on another engine. There are guys with totally streetable 1000HP+ monsters under the hood based off that engine but you gotta go forged, there's just no way around it.

No. But you reminded me of a clever guitar ad I saw back in 1966, which pictured a Fender Jaguar guitar leaning against a Jaguar automobile fender.

Drop in forged pistons are required really for anything over 6lbs boost. The ring lands are too high in the Piston.
Quoted from Willathrilla:There are a lot of fox bodies on this page so here's my 1988 GT with 31,000 km (19,000 mi) on it.
I'll bet it doesn't see any of the nasty Canadian winters. Beautiful shape, all stock too.

Well in Canada they only have 2 months of nice weather, the rest of the time it's -30 and snowing.
Quoted from MustangPaul:the rest of the time it's -30 and snowing.
If it is not raining or snowing too hard, then it is top down cruising time. Yes we do get strange looks from our cousins from the south when it is 10 Celsius and we are on our motorbikes, open Jeeps, and convertibles with the roof down.

I have 76,000 regular hard miles, not track miles on my 2011 392 and Ive been thinking about a forged 426. Can I ask who you are working with?

Ordered it through HHP (High Horse Performance) BES is doing the build.
