Thanks guys, this is my uncles collection, about 2/3 of it, I usually drive the belaire or the murcielago not shown when I visit, he’s got 1 pin; 78’ playboy I restored. I drove the Tony Stewart NASCAR once, we had to call the police beforehand so they could “spectate” ... and it kept us out of trouble in the neighborhood. The ford Gt with the gt40 paint job and the green Superbird (6pac) are the most eye catching, people stop dead in their tracks all the time for those, they’re probably the most fun and nerve racking to drive.
... oh, we like signatures too

Is your uncle Jay Leno? That’s one heckuva collection.

I’ve been pining for a Japanese cockpit with modern tech, my 17’ 1794 Tundra just doesn’t scratch the itch on the sport side

I know what you mean. I have two Toyota Trucks but wanted a Japanese sports car, so I picked up the Subaru WRX STI and I love it. I got tired of driving just trucks for years and now if the weather is nice we take the Subaru everywhere.
I just picked up a new pin-hauler, it's a 2018 Toyota Tacoma TRD in cement color. I decided to trade in my big lifted Tundra with over sized tires and lift-it was simply too big for me. It looked really badass, but trying to park it in tight spots was tough. I missed my Taco's I had owned previously. I owned three Taco's before I changed up to the Tundra, now I am glad to be back in a Taco. I love this truck, it has tons of new features like lane changing radar, and cruise control radar where you can set to follow at a certain distance. I love the way Toyota's feel and drive. Very happy with my purchase.

Cool, been eyeing that exact Tacoma to replace my trusty 305,000 mile 1993 Toyota 4x4 pickup.
The damn thing just won't die.
Love the color "cement" - is that a long or short bed?

Quoted from dasvis:

I was trying to find a picture of one I just purchased, that one above is not mine-it is a short bed, I got the long bed version. I love the cement color as well, and I wanted to buy one last year but the dealer's were adding $5,000-$10,000 premium for the limited Pro version cement color. Well guess what-the cement color is now a stock color for 2018, with no premium added. I traded in the Tundra and got $1500 less than what I paid for the truck three years ago with putting 45,000 miles on it-pretty damn good, then bought this new Tacoma wholesale. I stole it (;

Love mine!

That color is my 2nd choice behind cement. Looks sweet, but I'm a bit concerned about paint fade over time with it. I tend to keep my cars forever - bought my '93 new, still driving it.
That & my wife said that I would look like an old guy trying to look young (?)

It is a bad ass color though.........

Has anyone used Racedeck in their garage(s)?

I installed RaceDeck Pro tiles in my garage a couple months ago. Was going to go with epoxy but read online horror stories about epoxy being a waste of time & cash. So glad I went with the RaceDeck tiles.

However, the install is not as easy as they make it look on the video. The connections are extremely tight. They show a child kicking them into place but in reality it takes a rubber mallet & a second person to help. My garage is approx. 750 sq. ft. & it took about 16 hours with 2 guys ... worth every penny!!

Awesome and thanks for commenting. Yeah epoxy is a lot of work and not easy to touch up to fix. Agree it’s a great addition if you have a nice car(s)/truck(s). No way I’d rip and sand it down due to the mess either. Didn’t reply to my original post but installed mine after Christmas and you’re 100% right about the mallet. I really like the color you chose! Is that alloy or graphite! You guys did it quick. I was alone for most of it but had a lot to move. And cuts around the 2 post took a few hours.

Love my Tacoma. This is my third one. Had a red 2005 4x2 then upgraded to a white 4x4 in 2007 and this one is an "inferno" color 2017. Gotta be able to haul the toys around.

Talking of new wheels, I got a deal on some a month back.

I saw an ad online for some used 20x10.5 which is what I was after. (With 20x9.5 for the front)

A car dealer had taken them off a used Lexus GS430 which he had imported. His rationale was that luxury car buyers just wanted stock wheels so he always removes them. I paid him $400 for them, and got them repowdercoated in satin black.

Turns out they are COR F1 Mesh wheels which are forged and made in Florida, of all places. They are crazy expensive at like $1500 USD per wheel!

They give the RCF a stealth look, and the satin black matches the carbon bonnet and roof.

And the dealer was correct - buyers always want the original rims so they are safely stored in my warehouse.

Mine's an 05 Yamaha Raptor 660. Lots of fun. That pic was over at the dunes in Oceano (Pismo Beach) which is only about 2 1/2 hrs from where I live. I haven't been down to Glamis yet, but that would be awesome. I would love to go off-roading in Utah too.

That's going to be a great truck! Mine's the 4x4 TRD Off Road with the shorter 5' bed. So many added features from the prior generation truck are really nice to have (navigation, blind spot and rear cross traffic alert, moon roof, powered rear window, ect.). The 2018s even get the full Toyota Safety Sense options that weren't available before.

My only complaint is with the factory programming for the new 6 speed auto transmission. It pretty much sucks with the new engine in the third gen models. Shifts way too much and makes the truck feel sluggish around town, especially if you tend to drive on the aggressive side. Toyota did release some software updates that help, but I bought a mod called Shift Sense Pro that uses the built-in ability to optionally manually shift the transmission and reprograms the shift points for you. It made a huge improvement. Here's a link in case you find the shifting annoying too. https://www.dz-custom-innovations.com/products/shiftsense-pro

Cool thread, combine two of my favorite hobbies, pinball and rides. This is my 1968 Chevrolet Beaumont custom. For my American friends its a GM "A" body platform made in Canada only. Its all Chevelle except it has a GTO dash and year specific front and rear treatments. Its one of 3744 V8 cars for the year. My pin hauler is a 2011 F150 4X4. I know ,I know whats a GM classic car guy doing with a ford...truth is it was to good a deal to pass up, and in fact I really like the truck. 3.7 V6 runs great and does what I need it to do. Cheers.

Just thought I'd ask any corvette owners/enthusiasts here on Pinside Car Club for your opinion. It's been a dream of mine to own a corvette. I finally have the extra $ to now buy a new C7 series. I've been debating back & forth with buddies & on Corvette Forum trying to decide which model, the Z06 (650 hp) or the Grand Sport (450 hp). I'm going with the Arctic white with black rims & Aero ground effects package, similar to this photo.

Has anyone owned either model Z06 or GS in the C7 series? Thanks

2 new cars added to the household since last posting. Wife traded her Audi S5 for a red Macan S in May of this year ... and I also bought her a little Z4 for Christmas. She was extra good to me this past year as I went through some major health issues.
All is good now, and I wanted to surprise her with something special!

If I was moving to the USA, I’d go with a
Corvette I reckon. The same as you ... white car, black rims (pretty much the same as my Lexus RCF you see above ...). White/Black just looks sweet on any car IMO. And I’ve seen a lot of Vettes with that scheme since I’ve been here, including one this morning. Fixed roof for me though, don’t like convertibles.

Of course, 450hp is way more HP than you’ll ever need, unless you plan on going to the track.

But the Z06 is a pretty sweet package ...

What’s the price difference?

I concur. By far. Except for the classic 60s ones.

The new generation Vette is the only Vette I’ve ever considered buying. Even the new interiors are ok, the old ones (80-2013) are pretty awful for an expensive car.

Yesterday there was a white/black Corvette next to a new red Camaro at the traffic lights.

The Camaro looked like a truck next to the sleek Corvette. All those other American “sports cars” are huge in comparison. Vettes are 3400lbs, Challengers for example are 4400lbs. My RCF fully loaded with all the extras Lexus’ have is 3700lb, which is way too heavy for a sports car really.

The only problem with Vettes is they only have 2 seats. That’s a bit challenging when you have 3 people and 2 little dogs to get around the place.
