I have a pinscore display in my space shuttle that just recent started dropping digits. I bought it about 2 or so years ago and in a home collection this game gets turned on less than once per week for sure so there is pretty little energized time on this displays.
I tried swapping displays and cables and the problem moved so it is definately not either of those. I observed that if I turn the brightness to max the digits return so then the problem is on the main pinscore board not the incoming signal. If I turn the brightness down even a smidgen the 2 digits go out immediately.
The picture with the all 0s is with the input cable disconnected. I didn't take a picture with the test button depressed but it is the same -digits out unless brightness turned to max. I don't want to burnt out the display by having the brightness up too high, plus it doesn't look exactly original.
Any ideas?
