Quoted from Pinbub:BK2K,... All Day!
And BK:SoR is right up there with it. Played a little of both today. Not enough.
Quoted from Mercury:Which pins have you pressing that start button
over and over again? For me so far it has been Bally's Eight ball.[quoted image]
Good choice. Ball times are so short and fantastic, you can't help but hit the start button again.
My List: (I just love shorter ball times now).
Dragonfist: just a ball buster. Love it
Quicksilver: sweep those targets! Killer.
Bally Rolling Stones : drain monster. Love that.
Farfalla: amazing selection of drop targets with the ramp that goes up and down. Underrated game imo.
Fathom: triple playfield scoring is awesome.
Cheetah: cool rules.
Evel Knievel: nostalgic . Great for gambling.
Wonky: played it and it's really really good. Can't wait to get mine.
All are great gambling games too. I love playing for dollars with friends.
Quoted from MK6PIN:The grid never lets you go, but in heavy honeymoon phase w TWDLE currently....hard to turn it off.
TWDLE
TRONLE
IM
(I know you asked for 1, but probably a tie overall for me on those)
Iron Man is so addictive. Great game.
A tie for me right now - Munsters LE and Kiss pro . Have a hard time shutting off either once I turn one of em on .
Mata Hari gets the most play at my house. The main reason is that my wife loves it so much. El Dorado (EM) and Houdini are doing it for me lately. Two really different game styles, that's for sure.
To me, a game that has that "one more" appeal is a game that is so tough that the ball times are short. You agonize over the drains but can't help yourself from hitting that start button again and again.
I find many games mentioned here to be very fun (IMDN, TWD, etc) but not games that I can sit and play 15-20 games in a row.
Paragon is my choice. It gets the best of me very often, and even when I have a great game, I feel like I can do better and hit that start button one more time.
ps: someone said Motor Show? wth?
Beatles. After a couple thousand plays (3-ball), I've gotten to Taxman multiball twice. I keep thinking "this time I can get to Hard Day's Night multiball and then finish modes for Taxman."
I think "one more play" lends itself to short ball time games. As much as I love LOTR, it does not have that "one more play" feel.
Robocop is the one I find myself standing behind the most.
Painfully simple rules, extremely fast, cool sounds.
ive got 12 but the 1 I cannot ever play once is fish tales , followed closly by whitewater , with demolition man close 3rd! with sys 11 , mousin' around !!!!!!!! those darn mice! …. well really I cant play any of them one time!!!!!!!!!!!!
For me its MM. I can rarely play it (closest one I know of is 2h away) and when I do I just cant stop. Lowering the drawbridge/ raising the trellis and destroying the castle is just so much fun. Top it off with the two trolls and really nice dmd animations make me want to play until my coins are out.
overall, because I am so inconsistent, I would say any game I play. I find that while on 1 game I will hit every ramp, every shot one right after the other and then the next I will do the complete opposite. I always find my self saying, "No way, I can't be that bad" and then play 1 more.
I only have 3 in my collection (TOM, DP, MMr) and all 3 of them have that replay-ability for me. I love them all. Prior to that, Black Rose and Getaway II did the same thing for me. One more broadside, gotta "Getaway" one more time. Just real fun pins. When I go to the arcade (usually Silverball in Asbury Park), I find myself going back for more on Cactus Canyon, Whitewater, AFM, and STTNG the most. I will be there in 3 days, will see what draws me in and forces me to keep coming back.
BK:SOR for sure. Iron Man. Star Wars (Stern). My '59 woodrail Straight Shooter is damn addictive. When I had my Blackout, I couldn't walk away until getting one Blackout. Generally the fast paced butt kickers are the ones that I just have to try again and again until I have a decent game. I also like a longer journey type game, but those can wear you out after just one long game.
