A real special thanks to United for delaying our second leg of our flight to hawaii 8 @#!% ing hours!

Anyone know of places to find some pins not on the locator? We're heading toHonolulu, Kona, then MAUI

Thanks! I'm sure I'll have plenty of time to check back

#2 12 years ago

As much as I love pins.... that would be the last thing on my mind - you're in Hawaii!

Enjoy your vacation!

I'm going March14 cannot wait

#4 12 years ago

I don't know if the Fun Factory has pinballs but they would be my first guess. They are one of my customers and company friends I will try and ask

http://funfactorygames.com/about.html#locations

#5 12 years ago

Only some of the Fun Factories had pins. Most were in sorry shape. I was on Oahu for almost a month so I searched far and wide for pins. Only found a few.

#6 12 years ago

We were in Honolulu for a week then went to Maui for a week and gotta tell you I never once looked for a pin! Have a good time! Stay off the beaches in downtown Honolulu at night or you will see lots of beady eyes looking at you.

#7 12 years ago

I went almost 2 years ago to Oahu and I saw a Cheetah backglass for sale, but that's about it.

I realise this is old...but have the same question....would anyone have any updated info....Honolulu, Kona, Mauii ? In saying that, we probably have plenty of other things to do over there

#9 8 years ago

i will be in oahu feb 5 staying for a couple months if you find any let me know and i will do the same

#10 8 years ago

We won't be there till April. But will be sure to tell of all we find

#12 8 years ago

i go to oahu/maui/big island regularly and i have never seen a pin in the wild. If you want pins we have some in my friends brewery on Kauai "Kauai Island Brewery" let me know if you come this way.

Sopranos on third floor at Senor Frogs in downtown Honolulu. Also a WPT at a fun factory in Honolulu but can't remember which one as there were more than one location.

senior frogs closed a couple years ago, not sure about the wpt at fun factory.

We plan to go in May, never been there and have no idea what to do. I can't say I'm going to be looking that hard for pins, but if I spot any, I'll report back.

There is so much to do over there, so many great hikes...I don't think we will have much time for pins either, but doesn't hurt to know where they are We play every day at home, we might get withdrawals !!

I'm at a laundromat in Hilo at the moment, wishing there was a pin in here like the laundromat near me back home!

We were on Oahu for a couple days and the big island over a week now and I have not needed a pin yet-- except waiting for laundry

i go to Hilo a lot. If you havent gone yet make sure you go to Ahalanui hot pond in puna and Champagne pond (vocanically heated hot ponds) go snorkel Kapoho pools, some of the coolest snorkeling in all Hawaii. The steam caves are cool in Pahoa(natural sauna caves) In volcano walk the thurston lava tube and hike Kilauea iki hike. lots to do here, no need pins. Heres a pic of Kapoho, the houses all have backyard stairs going into pools, how cool is that, just float from pool to pool and check it out.

while in Hilo make sure you take the drive to Richardsons beach park, on the way there just past James Kealoha park is a really pretty swimhole, locals call mile marker 4 park, its behind a public restroom and you cant see it from road, youll know your there when you see a stainless steel ladder going into water. Theres always huge turtles in the pond and the kids feed them, one of the prettiest places in Hilo, water is kinda cold though its fed by fresh water. heres a pic i took of mile marker 4 park and kids feeding turtle.

Last year I checked out the Cool Cat Café in Lahaina on Maui, as I'd read that they had arcade and pinball machines... They had some arcade machines, but no pins anymore. They said that the salt air was brutal on them, and getting repairs done was next to impossible.

Even though there were no pins, on two separate occasions, I had the best burgers of my life in there... no contest. If you are on Oahu, a very close second was Teddy's Bigger Burgers.

Tossing my hat into the ring here too. Live on Oahu and missing the pins.

When I was there a few years ago, they had a Stern World Poker Tour there. Didn't play it much as I had one at home at the time.

Thanks for the suggestions, unfortunately not enough time to do everything, but of your suggestions we did visit the Thurston lava tube and hiked the Kilauea Iki trail.

Your photo is a perfect illustration of what I observed on the islands- the locals don't care much for conservation, they seem to be even less observant of laws than tourists. It's illegal to feed the turtles!!

Thanks for posting that!
I'll have to check one by one for the current stats. I've been to a couple of those places, Jungle Fun, Fun Factory Kaneohe in the last few months and they didn't have pins there at the time. I can get on base so that's a plus!
Scavenger hunt on.

I live in Haleiwa, so if you come North Shore send me a message. The only place up here that has a game is Jerry's Pizza in Wialua. It's a High Roller Casino and a broken Surf Champ.

Apparently something with the scoring reel, but I haven't talked to the guy. I'll give the guy a call today because the HRC needs some love too, as the "poker" standup targets don't always work and probably need a solder job. If you're coming up to North Shore for some pinball, hit me up and I'll come join you! I'll send you a PM with my number.

I just went to Jerry's. Really great place. They have Batman and The Sopranos. One other machine was out of order. $0.50 a game or 5 games for a dollar. Took my seven year old and he had a blast!

Any pins on Maui?
Yes, I know it's paradise.
However, pins in paradise would be nice.

#44 7 years ago

I just played a Wizard of Oz at the Rock island cafe in Waikiki. Played nice but tilt was set very tight.

I go to Maui every year and never worry about them but always look when out if I ever leave the Hula Grill and my own beach happy hour. Still have not found one.

United is the worlds worst airlines and the people that work for them are assholes. Every time I have flown with them to or from Hawaii they have delayed my flight for 8-10 hours and they offer no compensation.

#48 7 years ago

Many years ago (maybe 10?). One of the bigger ops on the island closed up shop, and brought his games to the Bay Area to be sold on eBay. He did really good work on fixing them up for sale. Nice guy too, lots of good stories.

#49 7 years ago

There must be. There are bowling alleys in every state, aren't there?

#50 7 years ago

Whatever you do in Hawaii, you have to go to Waikiki's Largest Arcade.

Here is video from my trip years ago...
