btw.. dibs on a FREE turreted upper pf machine if it inspires a manufacturer to produce beasts like that for knowing how cool theyed be (that and I'm POOR dangit). the big rotor could also present different features to the lower pf with different upper segments presented: standups, a tunnel loop with rollovers (think Black Knight lower pf), a catch hole to set up multi-ball play, downward firing slingshot(s).. kinda beyond the face changes in BOP, is very cool too.
add all that to the things listed above like a blocked ramp having 1-2 standup targets to hit, or an upper segment having 1 (right or left) or 2 flippers usable depending upon position, or a 1/2 popcap being left or right side with maybe a segment having 1 plus a half..
the concept could do some really wild interesting things to a pf and overall game,
AND.. oh hey, what if a game had a different turret module that could be swapped in?
the drive motor that turns it remaining in place, 1-2 big connectors for mechanicals and lights that are ID tagged for the machine's CPU to alter its instruction set for handling the different module. with any-either module it also gives options to what type of game or difficulty by which turret segment is presented 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and difficulty levels by what targets need to be hit (x number of times or x sequence) to turn the turret..
I'm no programmer and most programmers I've known arent exactly idea guys BUT.. spell out an idea for them they sure go crazy to make it all happen! I get that it'd be huge hoops to jump through, not just the mechanical stuff, there'd need to be a great theme(s) to incorporate this changing upper pf concept into, I'm still not thinking about that part..
