Sorry if this has already been brought up but couldn't there be a standard list with angle differences for each machine? For a made up example, if my BSD is 6.5 on the PF and 5 on the glass then everyone's BSD is, right? Then you could just pick your machine from a built in list, tell it you want 6.5 on the PF and then level from there without ever touching the PF.

I know that would take a lot of data gathering (or maybe not too bad if certain maker/eras used the same angle) but would be a cool addition (to an already cool app).

    Quoted from PinballSTAR:

Do you need to do the playfield first ? I don't really get why you have to do the playfield THEN the glass as instructed... why wouldn't one be enough ?

Finally, why do you need to 'learn' a particular game... neat feature but not sure why you would use this...

The PF and glass are not at the same angle. You want to get to 6.5 on the PF. The glass will tend to be a steeper angle, especially on the newer games (leaves lots of room in the back for toys).

You can level just on the PF but the advantage is that after the app learns what the glass angle is when the PF is at your requested angle then you can level from the glass alone. For example, 6.5 on the PF might be 8 on the glass, so it knows when you get to 8 on the glass you're good. Nifty!

Hopefully someone more in the know can give a definitive answer but I think games from around the Gorgar era are meant to be closer to 4 than 6.5.
