I was curious so did a post search on the word “Pinflation”, just to see the trend in frequency of use. 7 pages total going back 9 years. The word use has definitely gone up in the last year, but boy we have all been complaining about this for 9+ years on Pinside. Interestingly it seems to spike in use every couple of years or so, and then goes on a bit of a hiatus.

I’m going to go out on a limb and say while we have all been using this term for well over a decade, it has never had a more fitting time to be used than right now in our current world and circumstances.
