Quoted from ExSquid:Is there a lactose intolerant problem at these things?
Crop dusting.
Vendor and flea market sellers space renewals went out today. Always a good thing because it lets me know we're getting closer. I'll be back in the flea market, trying to pool my pin buddies together for more spaces.
Quoted from DorkInAbox:For those who have or have had vendor spots at the show;
I'm potentially going to have 6 machines for sale. I would also be bringing one game just to share with people, not for sale. Would 1 vendor space fit this many machines set up and playable or would I need 2 spaces?
They would easily fit in flea market spaces. They do not have electricity. We bring a 110V power inverter and a car battery and that will run games while people play them. I only turned them on for those interested. The game your not selling, put it in the free play area.
Quoted from Bulskis9298:I have a kiss playfield I can bring to the show. Can be installed in a machine or just wall art. I also has Ace Frehley sign the left side plastic. It’s a complete topside playfield, no electronics or wiring on the back. Original plastic set, new pop bumpers and skirts, new rubber set, powder coated apron with new decals, Looking to get $1000 for it
Also have a set of Metallica armor for sale as well, it’s new never installed side rails and hinges, powder coated black with green inserts $350
Alltek ultimate solenoid driver board.
Also have a nice coin door, new plastic set, new pop bumpers and a stencil kit for the Bally kiss machine
[quoted image][quoted image]
Is that an overlay?
Quoted from TheClownpuncher:What is everyone's experience with selling games there?
Same as Levi, sell some, haul some home. Another factor is you'll never know what other titles people are bringing. I brought a nice Bally 8 Ball a few years ago and there happened to be 6 others in free play and flea market. 7 of the same title is rare but you never know.
Bring desirable project games like Bally & Stern SS or Williams WPC games priced reasonably and they will sell.
Project games I can bring:
1) 1973 Gottlieb Hot Shot- needs restored, cheap.
2) 1966 Bally Bazaar- needs restored, cheap
3) 1986 Williams High Speed- needs restored, 2 PF's one is nice.
Others that are working:
1) 1979 Stern Meteor- nice player with new code.
2) 1973 Gottlieb Pro Football- Have 2, should have one working by the show
3) 1980 Bally Xenon- really nice original, in my collection for 21 years. NOS BG & cleared PF and much more.
Will post pics and more details as we get closer.
I'm looking for an unbroken Gottlieb Lawman PF plastic, the long one on the left behind the drop targets.
Empty Bally hinged front head, $25.

I'm getting a 2008 Stern Indiana Jones as part of a multi game purchase. It is HUO with invoice and was rarely played. From pics it looks mint and the video I received showed it works well. I will bring if presold. More pics when I get it home. Make offer.
imagejpeg_4(1) (resized).jpgQuoted from Alan_L:Have an NVOS (New Very Old Stock) '77 Bally Eight Ball playfield built by Bally, probably in the late '70's.
This playfield is a perfect candidate for touch up and clearcoating. The inserts are slightly cupped but it is flat as a pool table, not warped.
It is fully dimpled on the back side for screws. $550. Pick up at Pinfest.

Pinfest 2023
All spaces sold out. Nice.
Quoted from PinHead25:I think you missed the ability to pre order but there should still be a few sheets available at a first come first serve basis. Never purchased one myself but maybe someone can back me up on that

Quoted from jibmums:Anyone know if Starship Fantasy will be there, like every past year? I don't see them listed on the floorplan.
Not coming.

Quoted from Ballypalooza:If I heard correctly, someone else was selling and distributing Shay backglasses. Is that right and if so, who is that? Thanks
Jeff Morehead.
Quoted from BRONX:Does "da Pump" *pinball stencil guy from Florida* ever show up.to pinfest to.sell stencils? S&h into Canada is getting out of hands
I never seen Jeff there. Your best bet is to have a friend in the USA order for you and get them at the show.
Looking for a semi populated EDB PF. Need the bottom side braid and wiring in place, can be worn as hell.
Stern Meteor with new code that will be in free play Friday and if not sold, in my flea market space Saturday. Nice game with new power supply and lamp board, full LED's, and other new parts. PF was touched up and lightly cleared. BG has a few tiny flaws but nice. Cabinet is very nice. 3K.
DSCN9987 (2) (resized).JPGDSCN9988 (resized).JPGDSCN9989 (resized).JPGDSCN9990 (resized).JPGQuoted from BRONX:What is gas(Petro)/gal fetching in Pa nowadays?
$3.75 a gallon.
Quoted from Crispin:Any moron prize being awarded for being the 1st to the show 5hrs before it opened on Thursday? Asking for a friend.
[quoted image]
Yes. A 3hr wait.
Quoted from Slogan1111:Yep. I'll be there tomorrow.
Some machines barely had a slope to them as well. Ball almost rolled backwards. Haha.
That was to increase ball play times.
Quoted from Black_Knight:My first Pinfest and enjoyed it so far. The truck is almost full for the ride back to ATL.
Everyone I’ve met has been great and the market was a great mind clearer.
One silly question, why don’t they sell tix for both days on Friday? I have to stand in that damn line again tomorrow?
There won't be a long line tomorrow.
Quoted from ForceFlow:1) The cards were pointless. There was no info on them, no company name, no website.
2) I saw them littered on several other games, not just mine.
3) Like others have commented in years past when someone randomly puts advertising on games they don't own, it's annoying, to say the least. I didn't bring games to be someone else's billboard. There are several ways to advertise at the show in perfectly acceptable ways and/or *with* someone's permission.
My 1st time putting a game in free play and those were also on my Meteor. That game was sold before I even loaded up and the buyer agreed that since I had registered it for free play it should be there. It also let him know it was solid because after the huge turnout Friday it never missed a beat. I was impressed because like the game was my child, I had friends making the loop always checking on it and I did 4x myself. Had the new code installed with the previously unavailable free play on a SS Stern. Solid as a rock. I should of checked the audits to see the # of game plays but it was always being played when I checked it and others did.
A couple observations from a flea market vendor. Friday was packed. I had 10 pre-sold deals to Pinside members and quite a few complained about the long wait to get in. That needs fixed, not for me as I get in Thursday. But at 2:00 the line was around the building.
The loudspeaker sucks. On Friday at 11:10 it was announced 50 minutes to go. 5 minutes later announced doors are open. Vendors were still moving stuff in.
Vendor doors on Saturday didn't open till 8:15. Me and others had to move games around and that made the 9AM opening hard.
On the positive side the show was great. We sold a pile of stuff on Thursday & Friday. Even Saturday was good with what we had left. Ivan's staff was great as usual and I got to meet new Pinsider's and see others that this show brings us together.
Thanks to Lovef2k for the help with Meteor and the EBD lane guide. You rock. Thanks to everyone who visited our spaces and bought parts.
Quoted from Ivan1496:I think we are going to open at 9am on Friday.
Great show as always this year! If a 9AM Friday opening is coming, vendors will need more set up time. When the doors opened at 11:15 on Friday, there were vendors still setting up and hauling games in.
Thursday set-up open needs moved to 10AM or so. Friday vendors in at 7AM. Saturday vendors in at 7:30 AM. We didn't get in till 8:15 Saturday.
Just my 2 cents.
Quoted from pinhead52:Keep it the same place (we love the Farmers Market), send the flea outside, some under the awning and play for good weather
ken
Inside flea market vendors don't want to be outside. It takes me 2 hours plus to set-up and we typically have over 300 parts with BG's and PF's plus games. Who is going to provide security when I have $3K+ in parts sitting outside, a $250 dolly, a $300 lift cart?
No way I subject my stuff to "pray" for good weather.
Quoted from Ivan1496:I’ve looked at tenting the outside for flea market because of consistent rain we generally get. It’s $10k to setup a decent tent for them. This is ridiculous but the current local rate. The fairgrounds has no problem as it’s done every year for the fair. Anyone know someone that will do it reasonably has my attention. We’ve fenced off the outside and payed security in the past to keep an I on things. This could actually fix several things. It’s just cost prohibitive. Flea market is a major draw for the show. I handle it with as much care as anything else here.
Before I was a flea market vendor I came to the show when it was the Pinball Wizards convention a long time ago. RGP era. After it moved to the current location I came every year mainly for the flea market. As soon as the doors opened, it was my 1st destination as I was there to buy parts and project games, not free play. Keep the flea market inside for the current vendors.
Skip, I currently have your old spaces. Kinda nice telling people that because old timer's know where that is in the flea market.
Quoted from bonzo71:Would be cool to get bgresto there to sell pre-ordered backglasses.
That's funny. There is a 4+ month wait now for a glass. I don't think Steve is looking for more business at this point.
Quoted from Irishbastard:How does the York Flea market compare to Allentown?
I'm in the flea market at Pinfest, a spectator at York. York's flea market is less than 25% of Allentown and that takes into account Jeff Moorehead who hauls the same collection of parts from show to show. I can go completely thru the York flea market in 30 minutes. 2-3 hours at Pinfest.
Quoted from Irishbastard:Hmm...It's on my radar, have never been. Have been driving down to Allentown for almost 15yrs I believe, but never ventured further for a show.
If you have the time make the trip. Usually you will see games in free play that aren't at Pinfest. I always hated Bally Rolling Stones because every one I played from arcade days till modern shows played like crap. Last year a mint example that was totally dialed in changed my opinion. York is EM heavy but the others are usually in nice shape. Apples and Orange's between the two but York is worth a drive.
Quoted from Dono:so much so that its on my radar for future purchase.
You and me both. I would of bought Jon's in the flea market if it had the display board and head wiring.
