Not pinball, but any interest in a working post-war Lionel transformer, track, track connectors, and a motor from an engine? Guessing around $100. Someone from CL bought the lot.

Here are 4 ticket mechanisms from Skee Ball lanes. 2 seem to work fine; 2 seem to need motor replaced. $75 for the working ones; $50 for the "projects". $220 if you want all 4.

So a few years ago I sold a machine at Pintastic in a silent auction format. I thought it was a fun way to sell a game so I'm going to do it again with the Flash I registered for freeplay.

For those not familiar with the format, I'll keep a list of offers posted in my vendor space for all to see. At 3:30 PM on Saturday whoever has the highest bid gets to take the machine for their price. Starting price is going to be low (maybe $200) and there will be no reserve, so it sells even if there are only a few bids. I will ask that bids be at least 2% above the previous high bid so we don't get in to splitting dollars. I'll have details at the show.

Flash is loaded and ready for the one-way trip. Game will be in free play immediately across from my vendor space and the bid sheet will be in my space. I adjusted the timing to end the auction on Friday so the winning bidder has more flexibility to coordinate taking the machine. Here are the rules I created - they will also be available for review on the bid sheets:
    _______________________________________

Game Location and Bid Sheet Location: Game is in the free play area across the isle from the KAHR.US Circuits vendor booth. Bid sheet is located at the KAHR.US Circuits booth.

Game Condition: Game is as presented in the free play area and offered without warranty.

Auction Start and End: Silent Auction starts when the first bid is entered on this bid sheet on Thursday. Auction ends at 8:00 PM on Friday. Uncle Paul’s phone is the official auction clock.

Abandoned Bids: Winning bidder will be contacted at auction end. If non-responsive after 10 minutes the bid will be considered abandoned and therefore cancelled. The second-highest bidder will then be contacted (at 8:10 PM). This will process will continue in 10 minute increments until a winning bidder is successfully contacted.

Payment Terms: Payment in cash or via Zelle at full bid price. Payment in full before high bidder takes possession of the game.

Game Removal: Game can be removed after payment according to show rules - Friday evening or Saturday at show teardown - or as new owner negotiates with show management. If new owner keeps game in Free Play on Saturday they can use the associated admission benefits.

    Bid Instructions:
    - Legibly write name, text contact, and bid amount on the bid sheet’s next available line.
    - Bid must exceed previous high bid by 2% and must be in whole dollars. Ask if you need help with the math.
    - Check the status of your bid regularly - it is the only way to find out if you have been outbid.

    _______________________________________

I'm hoping this will be fun for everyone.

    Quoted from Slogan1111:

I've attended the show for at least 10+ years. This was my first year bringing a machine. Spin Out. Which worked great the whole show. Other than the slam switch stuck Saturday morning when I arrived. I'm not an EM guy so I was happy it passed the test. I was however surprised that it didn't sell. But that's ok. I hope people enjoyed it? And it was a great show as well Ivan. Thank you & see you next year!

The machine buy/sell vibe seemed much more balanced than the previous couple of years. Accordingly I was really glad I used the silent auction to ID the next owner of the Flash I brought. The format meant no haggling over the price and the measly $200 opening bid pretty much guaranteed I wouldn't be taking it home. On Saturday I know the new owner was offered $100 more than his winning bid for the machine but turned it down (I encouraged him to leave it in free play emblazoned with his "I'll sell it" price). That tells me he really wanted to keep it.

I would encourage anyone who wants assurance their game will make a one-way trip to a show to consider the silent auction format. It's the second time I've done so to move along games that needed to make space for "what's next". Plus it was fun to watch the bids trickle in.

More pinfest goodness. I have a confession. I flipped something I bought at pinfest. You know how the flea market is filled with all sorts of random crap with nothing to do with pinball in it? You wonder... "who would buy this crap?" I always look through those as I love digging for gold and I found this little guy for $1 mixed in with the arcade industry magazines... My ebay listing just wrapped up... for $510. That almost covers the Vulcan I brought home!

With the great games you consistently put in freeplay, you deserve such a kickback. Congratulations!

    Quoted from Liftserv:

Wow I have that issue also and it’s complete, In fact I have from the first issue on up to 1988 or 92

After seeing the cheese-eater's result, I searched ebay's sold listings and saw one that fetched $42K (ebay.com link: itm) after 108 bids! If you are selling I'd look at what separated his from the others that sold for less (his video probably helped garner bids) and/or what separated his from this one that sold for nearly 100x what he scored (protected and professionally graded to be in excellent condition, I'd guess).
