I will have 2 lockdown bars for Gottlieb games 72-75 (wide style) with the buttons, these are pretty much unobtainium and I'm looking at 125 a piece. Also I will have a really nice Close Encounters, system 1 compete cabinet, looking for 100$. I will have a shit ton of 45 rpm records, some with picture sleeves. A nice coin door 63-75 Gottlieb, not perfect but no rust or major dents. 45$. More EM parts and a few SS parts in boxes and a chime box out of of a Jungle King. I will be there all day Thursday and Friday. Will post pics when we get closer to the show which is 6 months and 10 days away.

    Quoted from TheClownpuncher:

What is everyone's experience with selling games there? I have a couple I'd like to bring and have no problem putting them in the free area but I really don't want to bring them home. Of course, I don't want to give them away either. Just curious.

It’s a great show to sell. Price them at fair market value and if they are working 100% they should sell. I’ve sold dozens of games there my advice is add 20% to your ask price to get the number you want.

I will be bringing a 1972 Gottlieb Capt. Card - Add-A-Ball. It will be in a vendor spot and it will be set on Free Play.
This is a "Players" condition game. Cabinet shows some scars and playfield is pretty decent. The left front corner of the cabinet has been repaired due to what looked like some water damage. There is a pic below of "before" and "after" repair. Game plays well. All plastics intact. All lighting works. Backglass in decent shape. See pic below of front and backI have the game setup on free play using the coin reject button. Very easy to revert back. See pics below long with a video of game play (2 games). Price $675.
I may also bring a Gottlieb Super Score but not sure yet on that.
This link show game play of Capt Card

Was someone looking for Pinball Magazine #5? I have one new still in cellophane that I could part with. Shoot me a reasonable offer, I picked this up at TPF 4 years ago.

    #1106 1 year ago

I missed that Capt. Card FS still looking for one. I have a really nice Diamond Jack for trade or cash if that helps.

90% chance of rain 5/5 hope that changes

    #1678 12 months ago
    Quoted from poppapin:

I live in the area, wet forecast all week. Raining today like last years show.

And I think the rain had a lot to do with the bathroom ventilation. People fart but that was over the top H2S.

    #2575 11 months ago
    Quoted from HoneyBadger:

One of my buddies was looking for a Capt Card at the show and was willing to spend up to $2000 for one. If your friend ever decides to sell it, let me know.

Nope not for sale there Chief

    #2585 11 months ago

Wonder the Flipper Pool in the vendor area sold. Repaint was exemplary

    #2592 11 months ago
    Quoted from jrpinball:

Not for $3500 with a plywood back door!

    Yeah the guy who
Painted it must be really talented ! Game looked familiar like it was once in my basement

Lots of whining on Facebook. Show was amazing, crowded but that’s good for the hobby and for Ivan. Hats off for all the staff, game bringers and vendors. The flea had great deals this year something for everyone. TShirts were SAF really great art. Can’t blame anyone for not having enough stock, order what you guess will sell, piles of unsold shirts are not good for the Promoter.

    #2601 11 months ago
    Quoted from bangerjay:

There’s that whole weird 1000’ long roofed area out back that might work for outdoor flea market expansion

Nope. Last year during the downpour on Friday half my truck was getting pelted with water just not good for keeping things or people dry. Plus it’s right by the unloading ramp that’s a logistical nightmare and a pedestrian hazard

    #2610 11 months ago
    Quoted from HoneyBadger:

Yeah but the problem with High Hand is the targets do NOT reset once knocked down like Capt Card. Gives you nothing to shoot at the rest of the game once they all go down on a High Hand.

    Terrible rule set I agree

    #2662 11 months ago
    Quoted from ExSquid:

    Foxwoods? maybe?

    +1 on

    Foxwoods

    #2683 11 months ago
    Quoted from dannunz:

Pintastic looked into foxwoods. Few issues...
Do you want to pay union workers to bring all your stuff in including games?
Are people willing to pay $299 a night for rooms?
Expo center is 60K for 2 days.

Wife stays at Foxwoods all the time all the rooms are not 299 ! Casino offers discounts to seniors and bus tours. Maybe it wouldn’t work out but at least I wouldn’t worry about mold or bugs .

    #2722 11 months ago

I agree with juice in the flea maybe the wall spots. Gives show goers more pins to try and buy . How busy is that snack bar in the flea? Could the tournament be set up along that wall? 10:30 open time gives vendors more time to set up as opposed to 9am. My $.02

    #2778 11 months ago
    Quoted from Ivan1496:

Please, please, please! Don’t use this thread to attack other shows. My comment about other promotors that come was in no way something negative. They are all contributors to the show in some way. There are also many reasons why they are here. If I were a smaller show trying to get traction, it’s what I’d do. I’ve just responded to the comment of change like other shows. I’m very happy with what we do. It’s not for everyone but it’s what our community wants here.

I’m going to be a good sport and keep
Negative comments about other shows off the forum. I have nothing but positive things to say about Allentown. Can’t wait for 2024.

    #2780 11 months ago
    Quoted from rmarket:

The York show has a great luxury with all of those builds on the Fairgrounds so as that show continues to grow they can easily take the other 1/2 of that main hall and maybe some day take over all the buildings like the TCA train show!!!
I have no desire for the York show to grow that large It is already a 2nd Full time job with the current size of the show.

York is my second favorite show, great variety of pins, laid back atmosphere, and the Deli up the street, Latucca's has outstanding food. The food stand inside the flea has great seating and clean bathrooms. I love your show.

    #2782 11 months ago
    Quoted from Irishbastard:

How does the York Flea market compare to Allentown?

Id say 50% as large as a guesstimate

    #2831 11 months ago

    +1 on York
