Looking for a new box of baseball cards for Slugfest.

    #1214 12 months ago
    Quoted from J-Daddy:

I will have brand new wedgehead backbox doors for sale for $45 each. They are laser cut from 18 gauge galvanized steel (will not rust) with the lock hole. I'll be there Friday and Saturday and will have signs for them with my phone number posted on a white trailer just outside the main entrance to the show.

I’m looking for 21 11/16 by 25 3/8 (or slightly smaller) for a Williams EM. Got anything like that?

Looking for a new box of baseball cards for Slugfest.

the cards for this don’t matter. You can grab any vintage box of cards as long as it’s not laminated on the backside. Needs to be that old style cardboard. Any card shop would sell you a box of commons for pretty cheap.

Jeff Moorhead will be at Allentown show. They have a few mini baseballs in varying conditions that they also took to pinbrew last weekend. I would recommend reaching out to him and lock it down before the show

Hoping to play a Pulp Fiction and a Bond 60th (if some generous collector brings one to play) at the show. =)
It would be great to compare and contrast each as Pulp Fiction is purported to play like a Classic Bally and Bond 60th like a Classic Stern.

We just had Keith Elwin on our show and he tells his story of how he was inspired by several Classic Stern titles to come up with his design for Bond 60th.

We talk with him about his very early years and how he got started with pinball as a youth playing and fixing pinball and arcade games as well as all the 70's and 80's classic titles he played as well as the very early pinball tournaments prior to pinball tournaments being a thing around the time when Twilight Zone first came out:

Looking for a new box of baseball cards for Slugfest.

These are the baseball cards of my youth! This period of baseball cards, roughly 1989-1993 are known as the "junk wax" era, and tens of millions more were actually produced than they said were produced. So much so that you can right now order a brand new sealed complete 1991 Donrus set for under $20 on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Donruss-Baseball-Complete-Including-superstars/dp/B000ETKW3C I took my kid to the Baseball Hall of Fame this weekend and perused about 15 card shops with him in the area. Every store had complete sets of these in box for sale still sealed. That box of 800 will last you some time. These sets include the most produced card of all time, the 1991 Ken Griffy Junior Rookie Card.

If you want a cool period appropriate alternative, I highly recommend the "Desert Storm" trading cards. You can buy them by the box or case for almost as cheap as the junk wax baseball cards. ebay.com link: itm

I'm getting ready to sell either 2 or 3 games, depending on what sells, and bring 1 or 2 of those games to Pinfest if they don't sell before then. No ads up yet, but the basic info is as follows:

Led Zeppelin Pro with topper, expression lights, color-changing speaker lights, and several other more minor mods; 1,003 plays, half of which were when it was gently routed for one year at a local pizza shop: $7,800 OBO
HUO pristine Batman the Dark Knight with under 900 plays; color DMD and LEDs: $7,500 OBO
Spiderman Home Edition with 120 plays; excellent condition after a repaired node board and including a spare new node board as a backup: $2,700 OBO

Feel free to PM if interested. If I have time, I'll put up ads and walkthrough videos this weekend.

I have a pretty nice Skateball I can bring to the show. Complete top side tear down, new posts, new plastics, new drops, new pop bumper caps/skirts and bodies. All metal tumbled. All bottom side coils got new sleeves and all mechs tore down and tumbled. New digital displays, alltek mpu. Coin door and surrounds polished and backside parts tumbled. Sunlight leds in the GI's and Yopps in the inserts. Game plays, but got some gremlins in the switch matrix. Probably a connector or two needs repinning. $3500

    Quoted from CrazyLevi:

Seems like everybody buys one and nobody installs them.
They certainly aren’t my cup of tea but I cut out the middleman by not buying them in the first place.

I use them on machines that have "operator fixes" that more often than not involve screws from the bottom of the playfield piercing through top unceremoniously. When they can't be repaired sufficiently I use a playfield protector to minimize unintentional ball deflection from those bumps and bruises. Currently installed on 2 of my machines.

    #1239 12 months ago

Just picked up a really nice black hole project. Back glass is in excellent condition. Playfield is very nice as well. It is missing the power supply board. It comes with two CPU boards but they both look kind of roached. It is missing the interconnect harness.

    Sold

OK I am locking in my arrangements with the truck and trailer to make the long drive up there. We've got business in DC right after so of course I'm turning it into a Pinball Adventure!

    WANTED:
I am looking for up to 8 machines: Woodrails, Wedgeheads and other EM pinballs, and stand up EM games
Not looking for projects. Don't need CQ, but should be above average condition that presents and plays well. Prefer no pf wear, and if restored, CC is great.

I'll be going back through this long thread to see what's been posted already, but please PM me if you have anything interesting.
I'm happy to pay a deposit to lock a game down.

    FOR SALE:
I can bring the following if arranged before hand, PM me with offers:

Aerosmith factory topper. Currently installed in my very short basement.

NIB Rush LE. Have the Red Barchetta mod, flasher covers, ninja scoop, and other misc mods to install.

Bally BMX. Great backglass, decent cab, blown out upper pf. Has alteck mpu & rottendog driver. Outlanes lock on with the Rottendog.

    Trades work too.

Maybe a Cosmic Gunfight. Plays well, slight insert wear. Could use a shop job, but this is a great survivor.

I live fairly close to the show and have the following potentials for sale.
    HUO X-men Le - Wolverine
    HUO LOTR
Project CFTBL in good starting shape with tons of parts for the game.
Original MM with many extra parts
Judge Dredd that has been folded up for many years.
PM and maybe we can work something out.

Captain Fantastic playfield. This would be good to use for a new blank change over as this playfield is warped but everything is there in the back I think except flipper coils.

    Quoted from ibuypinballs:

Anyone know if Jeff from Classic Arcades is attending the show. I don’t see him on the floor plan map.

    Quoted from Ivan1496:

He doesn’t owe you money or something? No ass beating coming his way, right?

Nice!! Fisticuffs. A good old fashioned PinFest brawl.

    Quoted from ibuypinballs:

Nope. Jeff and I have a good relationship. Just looking to stock up on parts.

Well that’s no fun. You could’ve at least left some suspense up in the air.

Long shot but never know...this thread has already provided some surprises

Anyone have an Alvin G. transformer model #003? I believe it's specific to the Pistol Poker game...maybe other games?

    Thanks!
