Enjoyed the show today. It seemed like this year the games skewed more towards modern/SS games. Although there were a few nice EMs to play. Prices overall seemed fair. Crowds were up compared to last Fall. Nice to see a return to form.

    #1953 2 years ago

Just noticed these in my hotel lobby. Both are filthy and have broken rubbers, arcade game isn't on.

Can someone explain the followi g tournament rules?

"Finals will be PAPA style four-player group scoring, 4-2-1-0 scoring."

This is my first tournament and I made B division.

    #1958 2 years ago

I will be going through the doors at 9am I hope to get some good deals on parts for my Dr. Who build. Probably not one even there for sale or play.

    #1959 2 years ago

    Congrats!
Basically, they're gonna put people in groups of 4. You'll play 3x four player games. First place on each gets 4 points, second gets 2, etc. And the two players with the least points get eliminated.

I got bombarded while at Flyland Designs picking up some prints. Glad I already ate my dinner at the farmers market! The turkey dinner and sides at that Amish counter served area in market was delicious.
Other than that great show Friday as I played a whole lot. Loved GZ and CCr but got sick of waiting for JJPs GNR so missed out on that with the wait times. Very busy in late afternoon when I arrived.
Met Joe PinballSTAR to thank him for my receipt of my HW CE this week. My first time doing business with him. Fun day for sure.

Great show today; really enjoyed it!

The aforementioned crop dusting was so bad that I’m pretty sure it was an actual sewer vent problem in the building… no single person could generate that smell

Had a slightly weird experience compared to previous years- 3 separate people contacted me and were basically incredulous that I had free play games on the floor that were not for sale- could not understand why I would bring them if I wasn’t selling them. Made me kinda sad… no free play games on the floor… no show in my book.

Both machines now pending but staying on freeplay as part of deal. Play some games!

I enjoyed playing R&M. Thanks for bringing it!

Where can I stream the tournament tomorrow?

    #1969 2 years ago

I was surprised how many people were there early afternoon. It was quite busy but things calmed down as the afternoon went on. Overall had a great time and really appreciate those who brought games to play.

My buyer for this backed out so it is avail if anyone wants to pick it up at the show on Saturday.

Cocktail pinball retheme kit. It has parts needed to help you retheme your "Roy Clark The Entertainer", "Take Five", or "Circa 1933" cocktail pinball machine. These three cocktail tables had identical layouts and plastic shapes.

    The kit includes:

Roy Clark unpopulated playfield all ready for you to put your custom art on.

Custom laser cut plastics to replace the existing plastics. For each plastic there are 3 variations: 3mm Clear, 3mm flourescent glow orange, and 3mm flourescent glow green. Each also comes with a 0.5mm clear top piece. This makes creating your custom plastic artwork easier. Just print out your custom art on photo paper and attach it to the top if the 3mm piece then put the 0.5mm plastic on top if that for a nice glossy finished look.

Custom laser cut apron piece. It's black plastic and fits over the existing apron area. All ready for your custom art on top.

First $125 takes it. I will be at the show Saturday.

My thoughts as a second year as a vendor in the flea market area after 18 years of just attending the show. I couldn't stay till Saturday, my daughter graduate's college tomorrow so I left late this afternoon. Not a business, just a hobbyist that has accumulated a pile of parts over the years and sells what I no longer need. Today's attendance in my mind way up over last year. It was like 2019 pre Covid.

I sold more than 50% of the parts I brought by 2:00. As someone who restores games and in my pre-vendor life as an attendee, I would get thru the doors as quickly as possible just to get to the flea market to hunt for parts I wanted. I never touched a game in free play for hours. I realized after 2 shows now that there are a hundred + people like me. The games will wait, I'm on a parts hunt. My kind of people.

I was there Thursday at 12:30, sold the game I brought within an hour. Picked up a bunch of parts for games I'm working on. Played games for hours in free play. After 3 trips to see Skip, got a nice set of Gottlieb EM legs. Not his fault at all, the set-up confusion that happens.

The best part of Pinfest is meeting other vendors, sharing stories and hanging out. Made a bunch of friends and saw some of the others from years past.

Thank you Rich Lovef2k for the Bally rectifier cage as a present. He's one of the best in the hobby. I meet Jon (I'll leave his last name out since he not on here). Long time vendor since the Wizard days at Allentown. Another great guy.

Thanks Ivan for another great show and I will see my new and old friends again next year. And many at York.

Forgot @freddy. Thank you. We could about talked about Mustangs for hours on end. And we almost did!

I bought a game before the show and it was delivered, so I put it in the Freeplay area. I just listed my game as 'not for sale' but put a ridiculous price if they really want to buy it. So, if anyone wants to buy my Metallica Pro for 10k feel free to drop some 'cash on the glass'. But, really, don't temp me, I want to play my newly purchased Metallica.

Everyone should thank me, I saved my "scorched earth" for the hotel room bathroom (where I'm currently laughing my ass off at the crop dusting posts, and listening to a marathon run of the couple next door...good for them). A buddy of mine cleared the bar we were just at with his, apparently, saved up "crop dusting event"... Everyone can also thank him for that, I threw up a little in my mouth...it was...that bad. As for the show, holy hell...we walked a good 50' gauntlet of vomit smell, just to grab a facial of severe crop dusting.... O, then the overpowering BO smell from a few ... Great show otherwise! Love the collective scents...Idea for next year, "aroma de Pinfest" candles...with a warning, "May explode when lit"

    #1977 2 years ago

Met lots of Pinsiders yesterday! Show was way more full than last year for sure. Already lost my voice from talking to so many people yesterday, and now I'm up and ready to do it again. I'm now firmly into believing the crop dusting smell is a sewer issue...there is just no way someone could do that level of damage as often as I smell it.

I think I have 2 rolls of stretch wrap left, so stop by early if you still need one.

I also added a Ripleys and a Hook to my booth on free play...come enjoy them!

Nah, been to enough shows to spot the clueless.

At least 50% know exactly what they are doing.

    I like to people watch.

If you want to play extra games, ask if the people behind you want to do a multiplayer. More often than not they say sure and you get to engage with them.

    Quoted from SKORR_Arcades:

I'll be bringing a bunch of DMD Slide Busters to Allentown. They help protect your side rails when working in the back box, plus it stops the DMD from sliding down and pulling on the cables.
Also bringing some TSPP donut shooter rods - show special $115[quoted image][quoted image]

I have the following still available:

    2 TSPP donut shooter rods.
4 sets of Mini DMD Slide Busters
2 sets of Full Size Slide Busters

I'm around all day at the show - msg me or say hi - I'm the guy with long hair and wearing a SLAYER T-Shirt (of course). While you're at it, have fun playing my new to me Metallica Pro!
