Direct booking with the Renaissance Hotel, at a $200+ rate for a single room, does permit a cancellation up to 24 hours in advance. At least, that option was offered as of April.
The nonrefundable rate is in the $160 range.

You might like Queen City BBQ, across from the Renaissance Hotel on North 7th Street in Allentown. BBQ entrees are good there.
