I will have for sale a Bally Strikes & Spares with a newly clearcoated NOS PF, fully rebuilt assemblies and a mint OE BG in a solid decent cabinet. Price will be determined when done. Also finishing up a players quality Bally Playboy.

Quoted from GorillaBiscuits:Looking for a nice working original up to fully restored:
- Nine Ball
- Nine Ball
- Nine Ball
- Nine Ball
Would maybe consider a Nine Ball as well
Happy to throw down a deposit if any of our fine neighbors from up North are looking to sell! Please PM me with details for a quick no hassle deal, thanks!
Boom! Right in your backyard:
https://pinside.com/pinball/market/classifieds/ad/88484
They aren't getting cheaper!
Looking for the following Bally early SS stuff:
In head transformers with bracket E-122-125, rectifier unimportant, I'll install new.
VGC aprons and shooter gauges for Strikes and Spares, Playboy and Flash Gordon.
Wide body lock down bar
Nice working 6 digit displays
Beat to hell Flash Gordon PF to install a hardtop, can trade mine (plus $$) which is better than most.
Gottlieb:
Mint High Hand BG
PM if you can help, I'll be there Friday and possibly Saturday.
Quoted from 1974DeltaQueen:No but I got a 1.75L chevais I’m willing to trade for 28-1/2 grey Bally legs
If I drank that, I'd take up you up on that offer. However Bally 28.5 legs usually can be had as a pre-buy or at the show for $20-25 a set. Bought a set the last 2 shows. Now if you want a finished freshly painted set, expect to pay twice that at least.
Quoted from xbmanx:WTB a nice Cheetah....PM me
That will be tough. Just over 1200 produced, probably 600-800 survived worldwide. 43 Pinsiders own it and 94 are looking for one. Rare to see twice as many looking for one then actually own the title. Good luck with your search.
I'm picking up a really nice Gottlieb Buccaneer I will have ready for the show if anyone is interested. Same owner for the last 42 years with less than 35K plays. Near perfect BG & PF, nice cabinet and a complete paperwork set. Extremely clean, unmolested, as close to a HUO as you could find. Left side head has a scrape but the rest of the cabinet is very good. PM if interested.
Games that are getting close to ready, price will be determined when finished:
1) 1976 Gottlieb Buccaneer- Sat in same climate controlled basement for 40 years, very nice example. 35K plays and very clean. Complete paperwork set.
2) Bally Paragon- Getting this one running now. Cabinet is solid and unfaded 8/10, nice OE BG 9.5/10, PF had mylar installed over very little PF wear, ghosting on inserts.
3) Bally Strikes & Spares- Just had a NOS PF clearcoated, will be doing the swap soon with all new light sockets, plastics etc. Mint OE BG, average cabinet. I could have the cabinet re-painted before the show if desired.
Also considering selling my Williams Black Knight, I've had it 17 years. Nice original game. Boards were recently upgraded, works 100%, PF & BG 8.5/10. Very nice. Pics available. Make offers.
I'm looking for a Bally Medusa (any condition) and will trade any of the above towards one +/- cash.
I've been attending Allentown since it was The Pinball Wizards Convention when us in the RGB pinball crowd would wear RPG lanyards to point each other out. I hope it happens this year. Last year I was in line for a vendor spot but that never happened.
In 2019, I stood in line for 45 minutes to get in after doing all my parking lot deals. I doubt that will be the case if the show even happens this year. I fear attendance will be down. I'll miss seeing my Canadian friends if they don't make the trip.
I have 2 Bally early state cabinets heads to bring. One in the hinge frame style in very nice condition. Came as a lightbox for a SBM BG I needed. Bare inside. Plus I have a Bally FG bare head, particle board rear panel has swelled a little bit but very usable. I have a couple Bally wooden crates that held NOS PF's back in the day. PM if interested.
Quoted from gdonovan:Looking for a Stern Star Trek and a Bally solid state backbox, 78 to 82
Might bring a nice DE Playboy if not sold before then.
Which style Bally solid state head? Hinged front frame, solid front frame or fold down style?
Quoted from gdonovan:What does the fold down style look like? Curious.
Solid front frame like Star Trek or Flash Gordon would be ideal.
By fold down, I meant the style where the head fold down on the lower cabinet like FG. 2 bolt holes in the base. I have an extra FG bare head.
Bally project games I'm looking to buy. Can be beat to hell, just complete or close. Fathom (just dreaming, they don't exist any more), 1981 EBD, Medusa, Spectrum and a Stern Nine Ball. I have a Williams BK that is a really nice original condition to trade or just cash.
Quoted from gdonovan:Interesting, my Flash Gordon has 4 holes unless I'm missing something. [quoted image]
I'm not certain what games had 2 vs 4 holes but Medusa & Vector for example have 2.
Woo Hoo. Just got flea market spaces, 1st time at a pinball show after attending Allentown for 17 years. Weatherbymag and I are using one and friends from Pittsburgh the other.
I have 2 full size upright video games I can bring if prepaid. These came from the last arcade in State College, PA 15 years ago called Playland.
Galaga- doesn't start, bought an extra set of boards. Have a new control panel overlay for it. Needs restored. Solid cabinet. $400
Donkey Kong. Boots and plays. Some sound missing. Suspect needs caps on the boards. Played perfectly for years. Cabinet missing graphics but solid, new T molding. $500
PM for pics.
Added over 3 years ago:These are now sold.
Looking for a decent used Bally Eight Ball backglass with minimal ink loss and a 1973 Gottlieb Hot Shot in decent condition.
Quoted from Ivan1496:Here is what we’re thinking.
[quoted image][quoted image]
Cool!
I plan on bringing some fully restored Bally solid state coin doors to the show. If you want a plug in replacement for yours I can make one for your game. These will have a new Marco front skin and they will be detailed. I have enough cores to do a few. I can do 2 or 3 chute, add SBA chute and coin mech's or whatever you want. Pricing is $295 to $350 or less if you bring your old one as a core. PM if interested. This is my last one in my Centaur I sold:
https://pinside.com/pinball/market/classifieds/archive/66774
Quoted from jrpinball:Hey, DQ. That's not the rare "Ming Rex", it's your every day "King Rex"!
Miss Kaepernick from Two and 1/2 men? LOL
If anyone has a these BG's in good + condition they could bring, please PM me. Bally Eight Ball and Eight Ball Deluxe (full size) plus a Gottlieb Hot Shot.
I'm also looking for a Bally Medusa project game. Looking for one for a total restore so condition is unimportant. It can be missing all boards, displays and legs. PM me.
I'm in the flea market area with WeatherbyMAG and we will be bringing a bunch of restored Bally SS goodies. Restored coin doors, aprons, and spinners that are clear coated, repainted transformer cages, dozens of coils plus more. Pics and prices as we get closer. Games will be a nice Gottlieb Pro Football getting shopped now, a fully working Bally Eight Ball with upgraded boards plus a Stern F2K. Bringing a National penny Coke gum ball machine on a stand too. I have a lot of small Bally SS parts from my 20 years of collecting, so PM for your want list.
Spaces #22 & 23, back wall.
I printed out some water slide decals for a Gottlieb Pro Football. I obviously have a bunch of a extra's plus decal's for Grand Slam etc. The lettering is sealed already, just cut, soak and slide. FREE for Pinsiders at the show, just PM before the show. Flea Market spaces 22 & 23, back wall.
decals (resized).JPGQuoted from Gotemwill:Over 1k posts. This is either going to be the best Pinfest ever or a complete disappointment.
That's all subjective. I've been going since 2005. Each is unique. Best is what treasures you found at a great price. Either way, it is what you make it.
Quoted from CrazyLevi:But Allentown has always been a good place to pick up games...maybe not the pride of the fleet or the pick of the litter but by the end of Saturday there's usually plenty of good deals to be had.
The best part of the show, the late Saturday deals. This year I'm hoping for the Thursday deals as a 1st time seller.
Certainly not pinball related. I was turning over a rental unit today and the tenants left a lot of stuff behind. FREE BOOZE. (I'm a beer guy) 1st person to PM me can this unopened bottle at Pinfest. I'll be there both days in the flea market.

It's spoken for even though I forgot to load the pic. Jim Beam.
Going thru all my Bally SS parts I've accumulated over the last 20 years, mostly small stuff. Parts that are ready or close. I have 3 Bally transformer cages, 1 early style for horizonal rectifier boards with mounting hardware, plus 2 later style with hardware. All repainted $25 each. OE Bally legs, sanded and repainted the correct metallic gray with new levelers, $80 a set.
Coin doors. Several are already pre-sold. I should have 2 ready that are 3 chute for games with voice like Xenon to Centaur. These have new outer skins, new lamp sockets, bayonet style lamps only plus Bally decal and detailed interiors. Prices start at $375 with your core and extra if you want coin mechanisms or SBA plates etc.
Spinners- Will have new EK pairs $75, plus Stern "S" $35. Restored spinners, these were sanded, painted and a new decal installed, then clear coated. Will have a single Bally EB, S&S and a Xenon $35 each.
Aprons- Will bring 3 used aprons and shooter gauge sets that were sanded down, repainted and new decals installed then clear coated. Titles are Kiss, EK and Playboy. $125
More to come with pics.
For those bringing a game in the free play area, please level the game, my pet peeve when I play the games. I will be there Thursday afternoon thru the show. Bringing a digital level for the single game I'll have at the flea market which will be playable with the help of a power inverter.
Don't be the guy whose machine people walk away from without finishing the game because it isn't leveled or the pitch is off. I will HELP you do this just so you're not "that guy". I'm in flea market spaces #22 & 23. Find me or PM. My Pinside name is my real name, so ask! Also my tool kit doesn't include PB Blaster so make sure you have working leg levelers. I'll even sell you a new set cheap.
Setting your game to "free play" is another issue. Games without credits is my 2nd pet peeve. If unsure PM me too.
Lets have a great show with well tuned machines!
Quoted from bgpin:I saw an earlier post from tomdrum with clear coated transformer cages.
Bally SS only.
Quoted from djreddog:Just arrived and it’s looking like Black Friday!! People are camping out a day early!![quoted image]
Reason I bought a flea market space was to avoid that line from 2019.
Quoted from PiNDoCToR:I'm looking for a nice Bally Eight Ball
Space 22 & 23 of the flea market.
Quoted from Pinball_Basement:Wait, are they waiting for the show to Start or for a place to set up to vend?
That was the line on Friday 2019 to get in at noon. Took over an hour to get in.
Quoted from too-many-pins:How was the turnout today? From pictures posted crowd looks a little light? This Covid thing has things all messed up with Ivan having to move the show to July. Since July & August are heavy vacation months so I was just curious how much impact that had on the turnout.
Wish we could have set up in the flea market again but I just don't have stuff ready to sell yet. I am hoping I'll be ready by York this Fall.
I was packed. I would estimate 2019 level easy.
Deals I missed. A $750 complete Fathom. Was directly across from my spaces. I didn't even ask a prices figuring was at least 3.5K. I'll never make that mistake again. A Bally Playboy with the nicest unfaded cabinet I've ever seen since the new. Missing transformer and back glass. $400.
Quoted from zacaj:Someone got a $900 working Medusa too
Heard that, wasn't sure if true. I'd of bought that in a heartbeat.
Quoted from Vic_Camp:How was the playfield? Not that it mattered.
Typical wear for that title but better than most.
Quoted from bigehrl:you sure? there aren't even leg marks on that.
100% sure. On the other side a chip and light leg depressions. Inside was super clean.
Marco brought some "seconds". Bally shooter rods $5, Bally coin door skins for $20! A tiny mark on them or a miss welded mounting bracket which could easily be installed with 2 small flat washers and a slightly longer bolt. My buddy bought 17! I snagged the last 2.
As a first time vendor in the flea market I noticed a pattern. Restorer guys like me head to the flea market first. I used to scour that before even looking the vendor area. Sales for me strongest in the 1st hour and half. After 3:00 the flea market area was people who came to play games 1st, walked around just looking.
Quoted from Vic_Camp:How was the playfield? Not that it mattered.
Didn't see you Vic, are you coming tomorrow?
I have a player quality Bally Eight Ball in the flea market I don't want to take home. Light PF wear, BG has missing ink. But I rebuilt the flippers, pop bumpers, MPU & SDB both upgraded, NVRAM etc. Repainted legs, clean coin door, fully shopped etc. Plays fast. $1200/offers.
20210724_200717 (resized).jpg20210725_210039 (resized).jpg20210725_210056 (resized).jpg20210725_210126 (resized).jpgMy last restored Bally Apron / shooter guide is for EK $125 offers. Plus still have new EK spinners pairs and Stern "S" spinners plus a restored Xenon, EB and S&S.
My thoughts after being a vendor in the flea market area for the 1st time at a pinball show. This is a LOT of work. From preparing items to sell, packing up 100's of parts, renting a U-Haul, loading at 2 locations (mine and a friend's place who went with me), unloading and then setting it all up at the show. (The tornado warnings driving in were a WTF then the absolute downpours at least cooled down the awful heat on Thursday in the building) Plus we had 2 video games presold, one pin and a totally restored Centaur II to deliver to it's owner which needed extra special care. Then loading back up what didn't sell, unloading again at 2 locations and returning the truck. Now I need to organize things I brought home.
I now have a total appreciation of those whose parts I've bought over the 18 years of traveling to Allentown (York too). I did unload a fair amount of stuff that's been gathering dust so that was great.
Things that bummed me out. People who asked for me to bring specific parts and then never showed up to get them. Some wanted to PayPal me for them, I said just pay cash at the show. Learned a lesson there. Also the loudspeaker in the building was horrible when announcements were made. The volume would of worked at the Indy 500. The Saturday "Happy Birthday" singing was like getting a ice pick in the ear.
Shout out to Ivan's staff, they were very helpful and great to deal with. Made the process easy for a newbie. Also thanks to all the Pinsider's who stopped by to say hello. Nice to put a face to the moniker. I made a point of asking the obviously clueless who asked a lot parts questions if they were on Pinside. Got a dozen "No, what's that?" So maybe brought some more to the table.
Quoted from Pinball_Basement:There was a medusa that said $900 with a giant sold written over the card. Not really sure of that was real or just a joke
Quoted from zacaj:
Someone got a $900 working Medusa too
Turns out that’s not true. It was a prank, not $900.
Quoted from RatShack:Anybody know which flea market vendor had the complete Bally playfields on Saturday? They were in the middle, facing away from the flea entrance. Had a Mata Hari and a few others.
I bought a apron from him. Didn't get his name. We talked about the PF's, he got them in a group buy. I looked them over and was considering making an offer on all of them but the components on the underside were rusty and with his high asking price, I didn't want to insult him by offering $75 each.
Quoted from Irishbastard:If it was the guy in the back corner with heavy inventory, his prices were stupid. It pisses me off when nothing has a price, so you have to ask...then you can't not laugh when an absurd price is mentioned. I swear he didn't sell anything the entire day I was there. Didn't understand it at all. Kinda wanted to tell him to F off, it was that absurd.
I do want to add, basically everyone else had excellent prices.
As a 1st time vendor 6 spaces away that was Jeff Moorehead according to the Pinfest flea market map. Having been a spectator for many years, he brings the same collection of garbage every show, and I assume others. I walked thru that mess and honestly IMO half is dumpster material. In fact he was the reason every single little part in my spaces had a price clearly marked. I've dealt with him in the past on a project game and it wasn't good. I'll leave it at that.
Quoted from JodyG:How those playfields got to the show.
[quoted image]
Nice. And the monsoon rain storm before the tornado warnings hit my cell Thursday never touched them.
Quoted from barakawins:I asked a few prices
Lucky you to find him. I know what he looks like, pity those who don't. Years ago I had to ask 8 strangers "Is this your stuff?".
Quoted from PinballAir:Did the $4300 ebd in the flea market sell?
Not when I left at 2:00 on Saturday. Was within view of my spaces.
Quoted from Butch2099:I'm surprised nobody has started a thread yet on it..
