    Quoted from Butch2099:

New still in the box Houdini pinball machine by American pinball! Feature packed game includes three magnets, two catapults, magic stage 7 balls, a large TV screen and much more. Comes with full warranty. This game when it first came out was over $7,000. I'm selling it for $5500.

I think you captured it correctly in your market ad - you've got a NIB game listed at the same price as the two least-expensive used ones posted in the marketplace. Bump for what looks to me like a good deal!

We're 2 months out from the June date so a lot can change, but the county containing Allentown is pretty highly infected at 1 in 251 individuals having tested positive in the county. It's essentially the Western edge of the Northeast supercell. Two weeks later is Pintastic and I suspect it is at risk too. There is high risk in my home so I started isolating early (haven't been to work in 4 weeks) and probably will be in the last wave of returning to normal.

It's too bad if I can't go - I've got a good set of 'yard sale' stuff to bring this year including an Alien Poker playfield.

Checked the fairgrounds website - looks like the schedule has been cleared until 30 May, but there are several events still scheduled prior to Pinfest. Apparently many of the farmer's market stalls are open for customers.

The weekend after Pinfest they have classic vehicle drag racing - that could be a blast!

    Quoted from 1974DeltaQueen:

Looking at the maps I’m not thrilled about travel from a hot zone through the epicenter to another hot spot.

You've got a great point - the target audience of the show isn't the local community, it's everyone who travels in from here, there, and everywhere.

Ivan, if you see this I hope you were able to put in for a SBA EIDL Advance.

Was just scrolling through the phases of the re-opening guidelines. One of the 'Phase 1' directions for individuals specifically calls out Trade Shows that don't readily allow for social distancing as something to avoid. I don't know how that would look at an event like Pinfest. Data is here: https://www.scribd.com/document/456756096/White-House-guidelines-for-reopening-economy#from_embed ; look at the slide for individuals right after the big red 'Phase 1' slide.

Of course I have no idea if PA's governor will follow what is published.

    Quoted from eabundy:

    How long is Phase 1?

It's very difficult to ascertain. Slide 2 is labeled "gating criteria" - it talks measurements that look for 14 day trends surrounding Symptoms, Cases, and Hospitals . Slide 10 says phase 2 is for regions with no evidence of a rebound and that satisfy the gating criteria a second time. Can the phase 1 and phase 2 '14 day trends' be based on data that overlaps or must the second gate be driven only by data collected once a state enters phase 1? I don't know. I don't think this is the thread to speculate - just wanted to call out the trade show reference because of the relevance to Allentown.

My room is booked at a refundable rate - I hope that doesn't count as 'hotel talk'.

Reference the fall show, is the York show the weekend immediately prior to Expo again this year?

I just read PA's Governor released a red/yellow/green opening plan for counties/regions in the state. Presently the whole state is considered 'Red' meaning locked down. Going to yellow in a region requires less than 50 new cases per 100K of population for 14 consecutive days. The county has 368K residents so the ratio translates into less than 188 new cases. In yellow gatherings of more than 25 people are still not allowed so Pinfest needs the county to get to green.

Lehigh county has the 4th highest case count in the state. Their daily new cases chart (ref infection2020.com) shows a clear downward trend over the past two weeks - reduced from over 150 new cases per day two weeks ago to 50 new cases yesterday - and exceeded the 188 number with 190 cumulative new cases over just the last 4 days. In short, it's not ready for yellow yet. There are 7 weeks remaining to get healthy before the June date.

    Quoted from 1974DeltaQueen:

Any day now we’re going to
Put a fork in 2020 pinball shows.

I read the thoughtfully authored cancellation notice on ReplayFX's website and it got me thinking that the "bigger is better" shows with national (and beyond) draws don't have much chance in 2020 - Expo, for example. York is an example of a smaller show with a regional audience - I'm not completely convinced shows in this category will cancel yet. Remember York is still 4 months away.

Today must have been the day b/c I got a refund on the booth rent as well. Thanks Ivan1496 !

    Quoted from CrazyLevi:

Only in pinball are people unhappy to get refunds.
It sucks but he’s handling it the right way holding on to peoples’ money accomplishes nothing.

Yup, as a multi-year vendor I couldn't be happier with how Allentown is run - in good times and in bad. I'm booking my room early for 2021 - there's plenty of pent-up energy that will create a great show next year.

    Quoted from Chalkey:

Anybody know if the playfield-protector.com guys are doing their Allentown deal this year?

I'm bringing one for a BOP that I never installed. It will be at the back of my booth.
