That is grossly exaggerated. A decent amount of games might be sold, but they are not removed. If 30% or 1/3 of games were gone by opening time Saturday morning, you would see tumbleweed rolling down the aisles and the place would look empty.
I didn’t get there this year until Saturday at around 10:30am, and there were “some” holes in the aisles where games had been taken out. Nowhere near 30%.
I agree 30% is too high but it was noticeable.
