Impressions on games...
Many well maintained and restored games to play. Awesome that those people put them out there. Bunch from Bundy, Ivan and Draino I think.
Instead of the same old games, saw some I never saw before. Dragon (2 if them!) Trident and some others that were rare to see.
Of the new games:
The most impressive was Alice Cooper...which was shocking to me as I have not been impressed with Spooky games I have played before. Never saw a TNA but the games before just seemed like hobby games....ACNC was really polished, great art, design (multiple ways to lock the ball), an upper playfield that doesn't suck, great ramps and wireforms...great animations. So much fun!
Wonka was a little underwhelming. The music and call outs we're annoying, the art package a little to clippy for me and it just seemed to be missing something. I loved the LCD animations and clips but the play was just ok. I didn't see much of the light show I was told was there but maybe I didn't do so well and didn't see much? The flippers were weak but still could make the shots. I still may pick one up but the more time that goes on the more I think I may pick up a Dialed In to get my Pat Lawlor fix.
Thunderbirds...lol..that art is so bad it's kind of good. The game shot a lot better than. I expected..like a Data East feel to it. I liked the moving stand up target...when's the last time that was done?
BKSOR - fun, fast..but bare game. Nice for location play but can't see myself getting one for the home.
MMR ... Meh. I think the lighting detracts from the game. Scoop seemed harder to hit than my original I had.
Last year's new game, Iron Maiden, got the most play for me. That game and ACNC were the most fun for me.
