Quoted from Chalkey:

If you guys are looking for the 7th layer of hell it's the Allentown Walmart. They don't sell beer there either.

That's PA for you. The best place to get a case is Shangy's on Lehigh Street. Wegmans also has a good variety of 6 packs.

I'm pretty excited for my first Pinfest. I was only introduced to pinball about 6 weeks ago and I'm already hooked. Luckily for me, I live about 20 minutes from the Allentown Fairgrounds! Safe travels everyone!

Quoted from VectorGamer:

Hey I'm going to be staying overnight Friday and was wondering if there's anything to do in Allentown once Pinfest wraps up for the day?

Based on what I've read in this thread, I think some people are gathering at one of the hotels. Other than that, there are plenty of bars/restaurants, the Sands Casino in Bethlehem, depends on what you want to do. I'm sorry if that wasn't very helpful. I'll be at home with a cold beverage.

This year was my first Pinfest and I had a great time. I'm fairly new to pinball, but it just so happens that I live in Allentown. I had no idea that something like Pinfest was happening in my backyard!

I went into Pinfest with the possibility of buying my first machine, but I waited too long and missed out on the ones that I had my eye on. Hopefully I can find something on the market soon. Thanks to everyone who brought something to the free play area. I'm already looking forward to next year.

@bluespin, like I mentioned I'm new to pinball. As a kid, I used to play Flyin Aces, a home pinball machine by Sentinel, at my grandparent's house. But other than that. I haven't played since I was young. A few months ago, a friend of mine invited me to the monthly tournament in Allentown, and I've been hooked ever since.
I don't currently own any machines, but I'd love to find an early SS game or a nice EM to start my collection.

Thanks for the suggestion @irobot. I had my eye on a few local sales, including a Bally Supersonic and a Mystic, but I missed out on them both.
Ideally, I'd like to find something that's playable but allows me to get my hands dirty to get it cleaned up and nicer than I found it. We'll see how that goes.

@MarkInc, thanks for bringing your creation. It looked fantastic, and every time I walked by it seemed like a crowd was gathered to check it out.
