Cool to hear how much the Harrisburg and York areas had. Spent a lot of time on High Street in Pottstown. It’s a shame they closed it off to two lanes. It killed the cruising and a lot of business.

I bought this custom light shade at the show from the guy who made the playfield hardtops.
You got to pick out what miniature back glass you wanted.
I thought it was neat/different.
I think his company actually makes some of the repro glasses sold by various vendors.

I saw those lamps. They were pretty cool.
Food and Lodging review, comments, don't read if not interested.
Any pinside reviews of the Wingate? I'm looking at the buffet pic and I do not see a waffle maker. Also I saw it was a merging traffic nightmare to get into the unlit entranceway to the hotel, not a positive in my book. But it got good cleanliness reviews and it was 20 bucks cheaper than comfort suites and HIE. I stayed at the Homewood Suites in Fogelsville, about 3 miles up the road from the Wingate. Breakfast was ok,not as good as Comfort., Interesting on Saturday the breakfast meat was thinly sliced Kielbasa, pretty good actually. It's not the Taj Mahal, but its a step up from Comfort in size and cleanliness, just too far away for my liking.
Local food, had a pretzel wrap, steak and cheese is by far the best one. Wert's open faced Reuben is a $hitload of food, I finished it but holy crap. Love the mouth watering fried onion straws, but you need 3 people to finish that huge basket They have white birch beer on tap, a step up from standard Root beer. They closed early on Thursday @ 9 PM, so don't fart around heading over there. Had the spicy mother clucker at Tilted Kilts. Basically its a buffalo chicken sandwich, pretty tasty. The kilts on the girls are extremely short. The beer on tap selection is wide, very impressive.

The goal of the game is to spell out S T A R T R E K. These games were made before all the licensing BS started and the lawyers and greed set in.
The comfort inn hot free breakfast is disgusting but what do you want for free?
I just had some of the chobani yogurt which was fine.
Quoted from shlockdoc:Maybe if Ivan gave a shit and treated the outside flea market as part of the show as in years past it would be something. I paid for a spot and probably will NOT next year. Have had a flea spot for the last 10 years to bbq, drink and bring some parts from the stash. No fencing around the outdoor area this year so trucks driving 3 inches from our feet and idling to pick up games all day. No signage telling people there was an outdoor flea. It was worthless. The worst part is Ivan’s lack of caring when I mentioned all this to him. I guess the indoor show puts so much bread on the table he can’t eat another bite. It was lame. Years past it was a party. Shame to see this part of the show die( I along with the other couple of outdoor folk shared the feeling). The neon dudes from years past said hi but did not exhibit this year.
I know people don’t like mike pacak and Ivan and him can’t overcome their bs but it a shame he used to bring an awesome lot of stuff outside, which is what this show is about. Treasure hunting.
The inside vendors all brought generic crap, 5 leg bolt vendors and not a single interlock switch. No Steve young, no starship fantasy, no flipper fidelity,it was lame from that standpoint. You could not buy a single ramp at this show.
Sorry to rant but way too many EM’s, no true parts guys and no a single sign to direct traffic.
It’s just easier to pull out a 20 and be done than rent a trailer and go through the hassle to not be appreciated or supported by the show organizers.
I look forward to Pintastic where Gabe takes feedback and makes changes to make it the best it can be. I am happy to follow up if Ivan reads this and can make it better. For now I’ll do like the other folks set up in the parking lot and not stress.
Sorry for responding now, 5 days later. I haven't really been on pinside since the show. If you have any concern or problem with how the show was ran, I would contact Ivan personally now that he's probably free rather than blasting him here (whether whether you liked the show or not). I didn't check out the outdoor flea because there seemed very little out there. I thought the indoor flea market was extremely sparse and most dealers covered their booths blankets by 7pm. Thats why we packed up and left around 7:15ish. Maybe thats cuz EMs are becoming less popular or maybe cuz the veteran flea market dealers are getting tired of the annual routine. However, I would never blame the promoter for that. I will likely do it again in 2019 but like many others, will decide on the following year when that time comes. Im sure Ivan does care about your concerns and maybe you`re right that the outdoor flea wasn't taken that seriously this year. He has been extremely busy the past few months putting the entire show together. Sadly, many people don't express much gratitude for that. But if you really don't like it that much or if you have a problem with the guy who makes this all possible (and spends many months to do so), than please don't do the show.

Well said! We were set up in our typical two spaces again this year (for the 4th year if my memory is correct) and I have seen a change in the show each year. I do agree the flea market area was a little sparse but if no one can find reasonably priced machines for sale how can people expect the flea market dealers to have record numbers of them? 5 or 6 years ago I was grabbing a machine or two just about every week. In the past two years (if it wasn't for my two warehouse deals) I think I have picked up about a dozen machines total (maybe not even that many). So if I can only buy one machine every few weeks where am I suppose to get inventory to take to the show? (I am not talking about just me but I am speaking for a lot of other sellers also).
On top of that I am having to pay 25 or 30% more for project machines yet buyers at the show still expect to buy at 2015 prices? There just isn't enough money in machines these days to justify buying them for resale unless you get really really lucky. So I wouldn't expect things in the flea market area to get better any time soon.
Thankfully next year will likely be my last year setting up -- not due to anything Ivan has or has not done but due to the fact I am just getting too old for all the work for very little return. And if "Phase 2" of my warehouse deal doesn't happen (for any reason) this year was likely my last time setting up. I love the show - I love the interaction with people - but the numbers just make it pretty much impossible for me to continue. I am not complaining - I am just stating the cold hard facts.
Don't blame Ivan & his crew for the hobby changing! The hobby today seems to be more about mods & bling and less about bringing old machines back to life. I think that is one of the reasons I am really starting to lose interest in everything pinball - not just in the show.
Hey schnollms thanks but I can share my opinion on a group i am part of. Please don’t tell me what to do. You were there one day and split. It is the promoters job to promote all facets of the show. The he is busy is a load of crap. Make a banner for 50 bucks at staples that says out door flea this way. Really “don’t do the show”. Ok I’ll take my free play games and my flea spot and leave my family home with their paid tix and get one 20 ticket and be done. Great advice. Net net I support the show more than you do.
BtW how about making a donation to Pinside since you are such a caring guy and want to see things go so well.

There were 2 waffle makers, was easy to get in and out of the entrance. I believe they were in the process of remolding some of the rooms. Our phone did not work, not that we needed it. Our friends in the next room over had poor a/c.
I see the Championship Sprint that was at Pinfest is on EBay. If anyone knows this Pinsider, can you have them message me. Thanks
Quoted from Chnillapoil:I thought you'd understand my joke. I don't believe people who don't remember what the're doing when the're drunk. You got to drink a ton to get to point of loosing north. Some people try to justify their bad behavior by saying they drank to much.
I agree that typical sloppy moron drunkenness does not result in memory blackouts, it's kind of a snivelling excuse.
If a guy acts like a jerk because he got too drunk, he should be a man and own it. Just apologize and move on.
If the offendee doesn't accept the apology, then too bad for them.

Someones got a good memory and probably a little bit older then me. Cruised the Burg around 84/85/86. I would have been 16,17 and 18 at that time. Got fines from car being to load to walking across the street in a group of more then 5 people to making too many laps. Once The Burg closed down, cruised York for a year then headed to Carlisle during an auto show and just kept cruising there for a couple more years. First car was a 70 Nova 350. All stock and an automatic. Then I did a ground up restoration on a 64 Chevy II SS. 327 Corvette engine, 202 feully heads, punched 30 over, Oversized cam, rollers, elderbrook Hi-rise manifold, Holly double pumper, B & M bug catcher sticking out of the hood, B & M slap stick automatic. 4:11 posi rear. She was a dream car for me. Light and fast!!! Ended up selling the Chevy II to a guy I met up at South mountain that wanted to take the car to the next step in drag racing. Never should have sold that car!!!!!. My last car I ran was a 72 Supper Beetle with rebuilt high performance engine. Red light to red light that car would eat up stock big blocks all day long.
And back to talk about the Allentown pinball show. Anyone know any good hotels to stay at next year????
I'm surprised we never ran into each other. I lived about a mile away from Williams Grove Speedway and went to Cumberland Valley High School. I bought a 1964 Nova SS 4-speed in 1983 from a guy in Marysville and still own it today 35 years later. I put a 377 small block in it back in the 80s and is a full-blown pro street car now. Had it tubbed with a narrowed 9" rear by Ron Showers at Auto Weld Chassis in Danville back in 1994. I also own a 1965 Nova SS restored show car that is the "Johnny Lightning Muscle Cars USA Series" car from 1998 pictured on the packaging of the toy car.
