Hey everyone! We're getting closer to PinFest and have about half the volunteer spots filled up so far. If you're interested in free ticket entries to the Main tournament, we're short on help for scorekeeping, teching, and registration desk. We also also opened up some more spots on Thursday for pre-event set-up.

Sign-up is here: http://signup.com/go/PSzkpjc
You can read all about the incentives here: http://pinfesttournament.com/volunteers/

Also, a final call if you have a machine that you would like to bring for use in the tournament in exchange for free entry to PinFest (both days) and free tickets to the Main tournament. You can read more about incentives here: http://pinfesttournament.com/bring-a-machine/

Main Tournament Pinside thread: https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/pinfest-tournament-may-4-5-2018

Thanks in advance!

Looking to stay over Friday night, which motels are best and which are best avoided? Stayed at Comfort Inn last two years but after all the prob's others encountered last year, maybe it's best not to this year.

Do you want to party and play even more pinball after Friday’s show? If yes, the Ramada.

Do you want to have a peaceful and uneventful night? Choose any other hotel.

Back to hotel talk I love it!

BTW this is for sale - selling for a friend have some wiggle room on price and I can deliver to Allentown.

Quoted from ejacques:

Do we know/have any confirmation on what newer games will be there? (I assume at distributor booths)
Guardians?
Iron Maiden?
TNA?
Pirates?
Houdini?
Alice Cooper?

Quoted from SpookyCharlie:

It's going to MI this weekend, and Allentown shortly after... then Southern Fried Gameroom Expo in June.
It's going to have the same code that we're not thrilled with this weekend... then will get a nice update before Allentown.
Working on Mr. Danger, but again... code coming soon. We can put a 50 foot neon sign above the game that says "CODE NOT DONE" ... but that tends to not sink in with people no matter what. Truth.
All in due time.

Confirmed.

Hope your getting a kickback from Ramada....You must have mentioned it 612 times in the last few months...

No kickback. You guys asked for it, I delivered. Trying to make the most of it, that’s all. While playing a single machine in an overcrowded room had its moments, the party room will have even more.

Comfort Inn has a great bar/lounge and it's booking dirt cheap right now - I just booked a suite with two beds and a sofa bed for $70 a night.

I've stayed many times without issues.

Hey Crazy Levi are you going to wear a Pinside Badge so all of your fans can come up and shake your hand and take pictures?

AND I mean this honestly!

Think I asked the dame thing last year, where are the best poker rooms close to Allentown? Thanks.

Sands casino 15-20 Min away. Good room when I played more often. Any other casino is about 1 hour away & not as good

Mmmm pretzel wraps.....

Quoted from Whysnow:

A lot of great food there.
Just inside the left door, on your left, is a vendor selling amazing staples like Yankee Pot Roast.
U-shaped counter 100’ inside door has great breakfast and lunch.
Going down the ramp(there are three levels) is a bbq place that is great and there is usually a long line to get it.
I haven’t tried the pretzel wraps but everyone loves them.
Great bakery inside the entrance on the right.
Lots of other great food vendors, but whatever you do, DO NOT eat the pizza just inside the front door. It has the consistency of Chucky Cheese pizza and you will regret it.

Here's a primer of what's there for the uninitiated: http://www.allentownfarmersmarket.com/merchants/

The pretzel wraps from Billy's are a must, heck, anything buttered, baked and served under a heat lamp from Billy's gets two thumbs up. I think the bake shop bluespin is talking about is also under the Billy's banner, and their peanut butter Long John doughnuts are what dreams are made of.

Loan's Vietnemese is tasty. Awesome pho in a pharmers market, what are the odds?!

My wife and kids expect a big bag of licorice from Mink's Candies at the end of every trip.

If you can catch Bada Bingg when they serve breakfast, they work hard and serve some great food. Their lunch is okay, too.

Maybe the locals can recommend more, but those are a few of my favorites, coming from a portly gentleman (re: fat guy) who has been going to Pinfest for years and likely spends more time in the Market than he does in the free play area.

Wert’s cafe is awesome it’s a few blocks from the back gate. Great food ! As bad as that pizza is inside the door , the snack bar pizza is even more challenging to consume . I’m not knocking it because they have every right to provide quick easy food for patrons. I just prefer a more tasty and palatable version

I had some sour blackberries and some Peanut butter cheesecake that had an aftertaste that required a 2 liter bottle of Lavoris to remove the taste from my mouth. ALWAYS ask to sample first. Bottom line is that 99 % of the Farmers market food is absolutely delicious.

I will knock the snack bar at the show to save others from instant colon cleanse....AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I made the mistake of grabbing a liquid cheeseburger there a few years ago, holy hell that was a bad, grade Q meat idea....Felt like death shortly after consumption of said "burger", it was before I knew about the heavenly goodness just across the way.

I have a 1958 Bally Trophy Bowler I could deliver to the show if a deal is arranged beforehand. It is a 4 inch contact bowler. Asking $2300.

Anyone near Manchester, New Hampshire area able to pick up something and bring it to the show for me? It's a WPC board test set to roughly the size of a backglass.

Always wanted a nice old EM bowler. I play the ones at VFW whenever I get a chance to go.
Wish I had the space

Don't forget to print out and wear a pinside lanyard thingie. I used to be embarrassed to do it, but since you all are going to buy me a beer when you recognize mine, what the hell! It goes like this: "hey, yzfguy, I saw your post on pinside... Here is a beer!"
