Quoted from Irishbastard:Hmmm...Beer talk has me rethinking giving up on Pinfest (Pintastic has satisfied my need and 3.5hrs closer)....Also not on Mother's day weekend this year so, hmmm.... Wish you could drink at Pinfest like you can at Pintastic and did not have to deal with the "few chromosomes short of a happy meal" nitwit in the golf cart... There was a decent bar within walking distance of the show tho, large selection.
The heavy drinking and partying happens at the comfort in after the show! Man what a great weekend it is. I love Allantown and Ivan and his crew do an amazing job every year.
Quoted from ryandimx:With Alien hopefully being my next purchase it's an odd feeling getting ready for the show with no intentions of buying a game. Gotta figure out what game/s will be ready and willing to sell to bring up. Shadow and TMNT might be on the block. Maybe a dual monitor playchoice 10.
Also the farmers market food is totally over rated. It's only that good compared to the food at the venue. Not many other close options though.
I feast on the ribs at the farmers market every year!
Quoted from Whridlsoncestood:That was a hell of a night. Victory, jungle lord and nineball. All bought Thursday at shown in unknown state/missing a bunch of keys.
We're next door at holiday inn this year. Was a bit cheaper.
Volcano.....
Quoted from zacaj:What's the rule at tpf? Do they also have a fee? Or is it just not allowed?
At Texas they do it a little different. With your free play game you get a weekend pass. If your game leaves before the end of the show you need to pay for that weekend pass which I believe is $65. But keep in mind Texas is more of a collectors show. I would say only 30% of the games are for sale. Its a different type of show.
Allentown is so great because almost everything is for sale and if your a buyer its like going to the pinball super market. But with that type of show games leaving is a tough thing to control. Either way Allentown has its nitch and is an amazing show I will keep supporting. Ivan and his crew are a bunch of amazing guys. Dedicated to the hobby. Gabe
Looking for a Frankenstein to pick up at the show. PM me if you got a nice one. If it needs a shop job even better.
I have 2 sterns DMD one with red shield
I also have 4 other DMD all working fine.
One cherry
One dale
One Vishay
One Babcock
$120 each can deliver to Allantown
Quoted from Electrocute:I'm hoping the party is at Comfort Suites. Or, at least, a rowdy crowd.
I will be walking over to join you at comfort sweets. That's were the party was last year. It did spill over into the sanctum room lol.
Quoted from beelzeboob:Doesn't look to be as bad as last year, though, so maybe we'll get lucky.
When I get their the sun will come out lol
Quoted from poppapin:You mean Fri.? No, always opened at noon
I beleve it was pouring rain last year and people were getting wet so Ivan made a judgment call and let people in early.
Quoted from Pinphila:Unless you are at Expo and you get free shipping.
Or pintastic
Ivan and his crew did an amazing job as always! I'm excited to see Ivan a lot more relaxed at Pintastic. Great to see everyone at Allantown. Gabe
Quoted from rkahr:My feeling as well. Plus there's a little town called New York along the route between here and Sturbridge that makes the trip very unpredictable and generally unpleasant to drive. York is next for me.

-visit http://www.kahr.us to get my daughterboard that helps fix WPC Pinball resets or for my Pinball 2000 H+V video sync adapter kit
That's why I go around NY city. No issues back and forth to Allantown 4hr each way.
