Great, great, great show....enjoyed Dialed In and Houdini. Didn't get to play Aliens but looked just OK. Aerosmith was cool albeit a little too familiar. AFMr was fun but felt a bit off when compared to the original. Met some new pinsiders and picked up a few needed parts.

2 games I've never played but would like to own....

EABundy brought a NASCAR that I had a lot of fun playing....and I can't stand the sport. But I found the pin enjoyable as it shot the ball around the PF and mimicked the sport with fun modes and multiballs. I'd own a HUO one down the road if I came across one.

I played an EM called Hang Glider.....I liked the top rollover buttons and the satisfying spinner shot....fun! It was an EM with digital tones though and no chimes. That was different for me.

Awesome show as usual!!

Was nice to meet rosh today. Houdini looks great!

Yes, Houdini was my pleasant surprise today. It was a blast to play and gorgeous to look at. I'm excited for these guys.

Great show! We met a ton of people, and gave away a lot of decals and shirts. Had some audio issues in doing the live recordings, but overall it turned out great.

Great show...

The IJ is fantastic. Made me want to get the color dmd and the the pinsound board
Had a blast playing tx sector as a well. Was hoping to come home with an EM but couldn't make up my mind, nut I got to enjoy playing quite a few.

There is an I500 in great shape as well

Thanks to all for making it a blast. Great to see so many new machines there as well

#1961 6 years ago

I bought a Space Shuttle from a real nice seller. We left his hand truck outside near the back doors briefly. Someone "borrowed" it (told a bystander he was borrowing it) and never returned it. PLEASE RETURN IT. It's a Harbor Freight model with fat tires.

PM me if you need to track down the owner. I have his cell #.
Also PM me if you see an unclaimed HF hand truck with big tires kicking around anywhere.

#1962 6 years ago

Does anyone have a Taxi and Diner available at the show for sale?

#1964 6 years ago
Quoted from hawknole:

My wide body glass is stamped

Yup, the standard glass sheet I bought is stamped in the corner and also had one or two very small scratches/knicks in it. It's a little disappointing, but shame on me for not checking it thoroughly before buying it or even leaving. I don't know if I feel like hauling it back in to see if I can change it out. Main thing is, I put it in my game and I couldn't even notice it one bit.

Good times today. Glad to see the place jumping early on.

#1965 6 years ago

I wanna see some pics from the comfort inn after party..... it was awesome last year. Sucks we cldnt join the party this year bc we had to come home .

#1966 6 years ago
Quoted from JeffF:

This made me laugh...

That was my tech's Transit...LOL (see post 1274 way back on some page). He changed the decals around a little (because that's way more important than helping me get things ready for the show)...bastard. Thanks again Jeff for bringing Frank down...can't wait to rock that thing. I might even grab it out of the truck and set it up inside tomorrow. Let me know what you think of that Convolux once you throw it on MM.

Met a lot of cool Pinsiders today...including beelzeboob and @yzfguy. What a friggin trip you guys are man. We need to party next time and get lit up...would be even more comical. Even ran into Crazy Levi and ended up doing a few shots of hardcore scotch with him...if you can f@#$in believe that. Back to battling his ass with my keyboard come Monday though.

Caught up with a bunch of you that I had already met previously...always good. For anybody coming tomorrow, swing by the Lights Out Pinball booth and say hi...or give me the finger, whichever you prefer.

#1967 6 years ago

My first Pinfest, good times. Couldn't stay, but will make sure I dedicate time next year! Thanks to Ivan and everyone who made it happen-especially those who brought games. Beyond the scope of any arcade from my misspent youth. I'm inspired to get motivated and bring something next year

#1968 6 years ago
Quoted from lurch:

Omg.... I know it's been said many times.... Go to the farmers market across the street. For the love of God don't eat that Shit at the show. This may be the new reason for me to come up here!!!!!

Farmers market is 8.5/10 on IFDB (would be 9+ if that pizza wasn't there)
Inside show ..... needs more ratings

#1969 6 years ago
Quoted from Kolchak357:

My fave was that sweet Ship Ahoy that was there. It was cherry. Was not for sale, and I don't blame the owner one bit.
My buddy couldn't stop playing that Buck Rogers with the awesome playfield (repro?).

I actually bought the Ship Ahoy at the show and I agree it's a spectacular game.

It was nice meeting you too, man. We definitely took care of the getting lit up part. And Ted is coming in today so I don't think there will be any escaping the shots.
Still another whole day and night if fun left here. This show never disappoints and the Sands casino even decided to be kind to me this time around! What an awesome vibe. Everyone seemed to be having a great time (at least they these jack Daniels goggles).
Screw the rain. We make our own fun.
Got to hang with Gerry, who I think is the only maniac that scares me a little bit- what a good dude.
Skypilot is fun to hang out with, and can almost keep up with Mrs. Boob with the rumchata/fireball
Beelzeboob unfortunately came and is still a total tool If only he would catch on that we really only want to hang with Mrs. Boob!
The pingraffix tent is crazy. Sweet display of all the new cool stuff they are pumping out, and Joe and his family are genuine great peeps and a huge asset to this community.
Got some awesome Flipper Fidelity speakers for MET and ACDC, so in a way I can't wait to get home, but we still have a full day of fun ahead and my kids are having a blast too.
So far I totally have the warm fuzzies about this trip. But that could be because I haven't brushed my teeth.

Wanted to share some pictures and comments and plugs from our PinballSTAR booth...

1. Beezleboob gave me a hug when he saw me. He's a good friend so that was cool. Then I saw him hugging men all day at every opportunity he had so there may be more to that. His lovely wife Janice is such a doll, but I think she's a prop of some sort. : )-

2. Everyone loved Dialed In as far as I could tell. People once they played it understood how well it shoots and all the stuff in the game. Another JJP hit.

3. Houdini took everyone by surprise. It was also so incredibly cool to have American Pinball send so many folks from Chicago to support us as a new distributor. Designer Joe Balcer, Programmer Josh Kugler, and even owner Dhaval Vasani came to the show and had a great time interacting with everyone in my booth.

3. Many people just pulled me aside to say thanks for bringing and setting up so many games from all the companies we represent. That's much appreciated. It was great that between PinballSTAR and our good friends Melissa and Chris at Cointaker that for the first year we had that entire row filled with every new game manufacturer there is. It's great that everyone is so supportive of your local hard working distributors that we both continue to grow and are able to do what we do at the shows. Thanks for everyone's support - selling games allows us to do what we do bigger and better each year at the shows we do.

If you can't make the show or aren't local we are offering all our show sale pricing to everyone. To get a list of all we offer and discounted pricing shoot Joe an email at [email protected]. Here's what we sell !

This is a longshot, but would anyone have a set of working ball trough Opto boards for a Capcom Pinball Magic at the show?

Please text me at 267-471-5612 if ya do This is to keep a free play area machine running.

Awesome! My son thought I was a dork for taking the picture but I really did bust a gut when I saw it.

And set Frankenstein up so I can play one last game! LOL.

Thanks again for everything! Will let you know about the Convolux once installed.

Thanks for the Pics, and your tireless, hard work, Joe!

In chatting with some Florida Pinheads yesterday, and looking over Pics together, we were floored and honored at the hard work done by all Vendors, Friends, Hobbyists, and even attendees.

Hauling Pins out of a basement, hundreds of miles to share!
An industry of Friends having fun, is so rewarding, even for the guys not there!

Each show carries its own vibe, and I see nothing but smiles and good times!

Just one word of caution......you may not want to say this too loud.....

Quoted from PinballSTAR:

1. Beezleboob gave me a hug when he saw me.

Do check for the dreaded Beezle disease after he gives you a hug......Hes kinda spreading it by giving hugs out!

The disease is known to produce either Beezle type posting or Boobs!!!

#1981 6 years ago

Does anyone know if there's still a decent amount of games in the Free Play area or did most of them get sold and leave last night? Also, is there less traffic on Saturday than Friday? I'm trying to gauge if it's worth a return trip today.

It was great to meet you, too. But I need to make a couple small corrections. I'm cool. Yzfguy is a bit of a douche and can't even spell his name right on his shirt.

And you wouldn't want to drink with me; I'm boring when I drink because I fall asleep after one beer.

#1983 6 years ago

At half-past "didn't we already tell you to gtfo?" I hadn't seen a mass exodus of machines. Now afternoon might be a different story.

You guys are dicks.

I hug the people I pay to be my friend since I don't see them but once or twice a year. As long as you're not feeling a poke down below when I'm hugging you, it's all good.

Colson gets one next year!

I didn't see many pins leaving yesterday, and few new ones coming in late in the afternoon. People tend to drop their prices around 5:00 so they won't have to take them home. Definately come to the show!

Another great pinfest for my daughter and me... Becoming a father-daughter tradition. I really get a kick out of watching people's responses to her mad flipper skills ( she can drop catch at will... Oh to have the reflexes off a child again).

Another great meal at the farmers market, with two first-timers. They're now hooked

Have to say that I've been in the hobby for about a decade now, but exclusively focusing on modern dmd games... But yesterday, I just got entranced by all the em games, and had a blast. Think I'm going to open up my horizons a bit and try to find one to add to my collection. Just need to do some research and learn about upkeep and brush up on the market. Just really a great time again
yesterday. Thanks to all the organizers and those that brought the games for us to play

Make an offer on my Baywatch and bring a fun game home with you. It's right across from the tournament area and has the yellow Sega topper on it.

Also would consider a trade if you have a game here and want to bring home something different.

Here are some pics of my highlights from yesterday for those unable to attend. TONS of vendors and things going on lots to buy and a great variety of awesome machines in the Freeplay area. My Favorite Freeplay game was the Indian Jones Pinball adventure with the colordmd. My first time to play this one and it definitly goes on the wish list. Stack ranked are my highlights and pictures. ENJOY

1. Dialed In - SO MUCH FUN lots going on selfies, emojis, skill shots, drones, fast play lots of shots amazing light show. I love what Jersey Jack is doing light years ahead! Many THANKS again to Joe at Pinball Star they had an amazing set up of machines!20170505_180723 (resized).jpg20170505_180723 (resized).jpg
2. Houdini - I will love to see this one in production it was a close second to Dialed in and always had a crowd. They have done a great job with a fast fun layout and has the feel of a Jersey Jack game in its fresh and modern pinball look and feel. Great animations and a lot going on. Also great to see the AMERICAN PINBALL banner another hopeful success story!
3. Alien - did not get a chance to play but that was because the line was always a 30 minute wait. I like what they are doing and the game also looks fresh and modern with the multiple screens.
4. Attack from MARs REMAKE - For those thinking about this they have hit a home run in my opinion. As far as remakes it seems like it has fantastic quality the extra large color screen did not disappoint. Keep the remakes coming!
5. Stern Aerosmith and Batman 66 lots of these set up to play but did not draw a crowd like the others its seems fun to play but seems a step behind the other three with the smallest screen and it look like it is more playing video clips than a score screen. Nothing compared to Jersery Jack ones that have multiple windows to show your progress. Still a lot of people said it was fun but It did not pull me in like the others and not a big fan of the band so...

Anyway the pics!

Just want to thank Ivan and all involved for allowing the doors to be opened to the public at 11:00 yesterday rather making us wait in the rain until noon. It was greatly appreciated... especially since I had to leave the show by 2PM and drove 2 1/2 hours to get there. Once again, Pinfest was/is a huge success and seems to get better every year.

Still got Taco Slots for sale if anyone is interested to add to their game room for their gambling friends. I can bring to the show today and load her up trunk to trunk, or of course find a place to plug her in. Whichever you prefer! $200
