Thanks,
Chad
Great day at Pinfest. Lunch at the Farmers Market followed by couple of hours in the free play sampling many EMs. Very good selection and not too crowded earlier in the day. I was tempted to see what was inside the Fort Knox version of Jumping Jack.
I can't wait to check out that Hercules! There was one on the Wildwood boardwalk when I was a kid. I can't remember the last time I played one.
Quoted from spiroagnew:The Mr. Pinball Sleepy Time Free Play Marathon is on!
I kid you not....I was leaving out of the farmers market with lunch and he walked by me looking at food and he ripped a loud butt blast Kind of caught me off guard.
HEH. Did a bit of shopping, too loud to enjoy any of the games tbh. Feet hurt, back hurts - damn I'm fat. I swore LAST year I'd lose weight for this years show - instead quit smoking and gained another 15ish lbs LOL!
Show was PACKED. I had to go outside of Oxygen at times, really stuffy in there. Prolly go back Saturday morning for more shopping and gaming.
There was a $2,000 stargate project in the fleamarket area, someone buy mine instead for $1600 and I'll bring it tomorrow. This fucker will clean up and you aint gotta pull nasty incandescent bulbs - i already did em all! Last chance because I saw a nice SG there in the freeplay and I got the itch again, I almost dont wanna sell but - time. :/

So this was my first time going to pinfest and I just got back home. Unbelievably bad traffic/accidents. Were were delayed in 5 accidents totaling nearly 2 full additional hours. That doesn't count the other 2 accidents we saw going the other way. It was the most bizarre thing I was seen in my driving career. As for the show, it was superb. It was big, it was packed (especially considering it was a weekday at 1-3pm), there was tons of games, there was tons of vendors, there was so much to see and do. The indoor flea market was super cool. If you're looking to buy pinball stuff, pinfest most likely has it. Expo is ok but I had way more fun at Allentown. Shame I didn't go before. Thanks to everyone who brought stuff to sell. Great time. I'll be back next year.
Quoted from Capinball:Anyone that has a lead on who "accidentally" may have taken my black XL Sanctum Supporter full zip sweatshirt it would be greatly appreciated.
WTF? I put it down for a few minutes near my machine in the back of the hall in the row near the tournament games and walked away to buy a new lock and leg levels and someone had walked off with it. Everything else has been enjoyable but come on.
Update: Thanks to someone for returning my sweatshirt this morning. When I showed up, someone had placed it on someone else's machine in the same area that I was in. All is now good.
Had a great time today. My wife was able to show up today for the first time since I started coming to Pinfest. We had a lot of fun and she took pictures of each game where she beat me hah!
Highlights included probably a 10-15 minute Hobbit game, only the second time I played(once last Pinfest). Felt kinda bad for people behind me, but oh well. I really enjoyed dialed in as well!
Line for alien was so long I never bothered to wait for a play. Same with Houdini.
My wife really liked the older em games, so hopefully when I get a proper basement I can scoop up a few.
Overall another great show, and I got to eavesdrop on Ivan(maybe) behind his LOTRs while I waited for a play later in the afternoon.
Thanks Ivan & team for the great show today. I played the heck out of the Monster Bash! The Pistol Poker was the surprise fun game of the day. Love the Sorcerer artwork, hopefully it will get running again tomorrow.

My fave was that sweet Ship Ahoy that was there. It was cherry. Was not for sale, and I don't blame the owner one bit.
My buddy couldn't stop playing that Buck Rogers with the awesome playfield (repro?).
Some pics and thoughts:
I gound Ghostbusters to be very fun. I also very much enjoyed Dialed in and Houdini. Played lots ofgames in the free play area. Thanks to all who brought games to play!
EaBundy - You are a saint and I can't thank you enough.
Redeyes - Your BK2K was amazing!
Great meeting some Pinsiders and putting faces to the names - Hope to see more tomorrow!

To those who played my Pinball Magic - Hope you enjoyed it! It has developed an Opto error that I can't figure out at the show. It still plays, but sometimes gets confused.
Sorry for any inconvenience!
Chris
Great show as always. First show in ten years that I wasn't looking for a game to buy. Felt wonderful because prices have gone
Thanks Ivan for all your hard work.

Great bar, walked there, stumbled back a few years ago....Just sucks u smell like a a strippers couch when u leave...
Great time seeing some old friends and putting faces to some other pinsiders.
Great games at the show but dile is really amazing in all aspects imo and the best playing new pin . It will be awesome in a home environment.
Aerosmith was cool but felt liike every other stern with nothing really special about it..but good pin for the money.
Bat66 is pretty bad imo and no amount of code gonna save it for me.
Houdini is a fun pin and shoots well and once code is complete will b a great pin in home use.
Afmr was ok but i have a original that is better in most aspects imo .....i dont like the leds or something about the inserts? Also the flippers feel odd compared to wpc which was a common complaint i heard. Also the strobe /led strip they used is not near as bright as the original and dont spread the light well at all. There were a few other things but overall i think people will be happy if they have never owned a original. The big screen looks odd (like a redemption machine)but i really liked the upgraded graphics but wish they wld of upgraded everything displayed on the screen and not just the graphics bc it looks odd sometimes.
Overall awesome time and enjoyed talking pinball with everyone......

That project stargate today looked pretty rough the prices are jacked in the flea market!
Quoted from djreddog:Here is the special treat. Girlfriend made homemade cupcakes from scratch including a cream cheese icing in Otaku green for Steven's birthday. So if you see Steven, make sure you get a cupcake from him!
That's awesome... and yet I'm hugely disappointed I didn't get one.

Yeah we tried but the twat-waffle factor was in effect. Found the most outstanding tacos at Greg's West End Saloon though. Still lookin for trouble but he'll show up.
Offering this up for tomorrow at the show $1300. I'm burnt out on constant projects. Get at me BEFORE 9am with a small deposit so I know to definitely bring it.
Hell, compared to the flea market games and prices this doesn't look that bad.
Just got home a little while ago. Thanks again to Ivan and staff for another fantastic show (probably my best one yet). It was great talking and hanging out with everyone. Our friends will still be occupying the booth tomorrow.
Until Pinfest 2018,
-Michael Schnoll
*P.S., I will be posting the YouTube link to my walkthrough video soon.
Crazy busy show today, man it was packed. Just not enough hours in the day.. Great to meet up with a lot of folks. You would think it was a Saturday with how many people showed up. Bigger & better every year!
Sold:
AVLE
DE Simpsons
Spider Man
Available in the booth tomorrow:
HUO Roller Coaster Tycoon (REALLY Nice, no flipper button wear at all)
Hobbit LE- less than 50 plays on it
HUO Pirates of the Caribbean- Low plays, game looks like it just came out of the box!
In Freeplay area:
Flight 2000- I don't want to take it home $1000. New Alltek board, new rubber & LED's. Open to trades for parts or other machines. I can add cash as needed..
Gottlieb Hulk. Really don't want to sell but need room, I've owned it for about 16 years, new Pascal board, stunning playfield, apron signed by Stan Lee. I can do a better price without autograph, I have a spare apron.
FYI about the playfield glass for sale:
The standard size glass has a logo/marking/"bug" on it.
I don't know if all the sheets of glass have it, but if you're going to buy a sheet, be sure to check it, especially if you know that you don't want it on the glass.
I've been trying to get a hulk up and running (all day...sigh) for free play, so if anyone has any ideas about a slam switch & switch issue I'm battling right now, feel free to chime in

[Edit]: fixed, yay

Well, that's BS. I bought 2 sheets...I'll check them in the AM, but I'll be pretty pissed if that was never disclosed.
