This is a project I’ve been wanting to do for a long, long time. I finally got a STTNG, and put in addressable LEDs on all the ramps. Have the attract mode programmed with a sparkle effect that goes well with the theme. Going to work on the programming for interactive lighting effects during game play next (between cooking for thanksgiving).

Can't wait to see the finished code on this!

Thanks for all the encouragement. I got the code to a point where I am pretty happy with everything. This game was a blast to write code for (even watched clips of old episodes on Youtube to check the colors and effects of things like the Borg lasers, photon torpedoes, etc.) I think it came out really, really well.

I have the code up on GitHub: https://github.com/elyons/professor_pinball_pinduino_sketches/tree/master/Star-Trek-TNG

And the video is being uploaded to Youtube. Hope to post it in short order.

This looks really great.
Have you ever tested your pinduino with rgb strips 144 leds/m?

Yes -- it works the same. The two things to keep in mind if using 144 LEDs/M is the power requirement and that the solder pads are tiny (i.e., pain in the ass).

Very cool. I have a TNG as well and love modding my machine. Did you use dream color strips for this?

Not sure, but the pinduino uses 2812B addressable LEDs. Easy to find on amazon and ebay.

Been playing a lot of STTNG over the past day and made some updates to the code. If you grabbed a copy of the old code, you may want to update. Also, if you have comments or suggestions, please pass them along (or post issues on GitHub).
