Finished up installing the Pinduino Interactive LED kit on my Lord of the Rings.

Addressable LED strips are installed on the apron, backboard and along the inside of the cabinet. The strips on the cabinet are attached to aluminum angle that's held on with Velcro. Using Velcro allows the aluminum angle to be removed if the playfield needs to be raised.

With the Pinduino you can easily customize the programmable LEDs to change color, flash or fade based on J6 or J7 triggers. The possibilities with the Pinduino are endless.

I want to give a huge shout-out to Eric (@lyonsden) for his help in setting this up.

Here's a video of the LEDs in action:

Quoted from lyonsden:

Very nice work! It is great to see what folks come up with using the pinduino as a controller for all types of lighting effects. Can you post some photos of the LEDs mounted on the right angle brackets without the LEDs? Also, what did you use for the angle brackets (size) and where did you get them? I'd love to making something similar.

Thank you Sir. I bought the aluminum angle from Lowe's. They are 1/16" x 1/2" and 3' long. I spray painted the top side black and then cut them to 32" lengths.

Here are pictures with LEDs off.

Quoted from modfather:

what did it cost to make it ?

Eric's cost is pretty close

Quoted from Deez:

This is awesome. I'm totally going to build a few of these with just standard LEDs. Did the glue from the LED strips hold well or did you use additional adhesive?

Thanks! The adhesive from the LED strips is holding up fine so far.
