Hi everyone, I hadn't realized this sub-forum existed until just now. Pinside is just awesome!

For those who are unfamiliar, I have developed a set of diagnostic ROM images for Williams System 3 - 7 pinball machines. You can use them to troubleshoot problems with your pinball machine. They are available free of charge and can be downloaded here:

https://pincoder.ca

On their own they require the use of a chip programmer and chip. However, if you don't have those items you can order a Pincoder Adapter here:

https://pincoder.ca/index.php/2020/07/10/adapter-2020-06-23-0506/

The adapter comes preloaded with ALL of the latest Pincoder diagnostic ROM images and can be used right out of the box. Just plug it into your MPU board and turn on the game. Detailed documentation on how to run each test is included with the software download above.

In addition to that, today I got some new TDA2003 amplifier chips in and thought it would be nice to include a free one with each adapter order from now until Feb 28th 2021. While supplies last of course. These are the amplifier chips used also in Williams 3-7 sound boards (and quite likely others, including other pinball manufacturers of the era).

You can find more about the offer here:

https://pincoder.ca/index.php/2021/02/09/free-tda2003-audio-amplifier-chip/

It's always good to have the Pincoder Adapter on hand, and even better to have a spare amplifier chip!

Craig

ps: I'll update this post when I run out of amplifier chips, removing the references to the bonus chip. So, if you can still read about it here, the bonus chip is still available
