    Quoted from chuckwurt:

TBD is the hot new title. That’s why we are bringing 30 of them for the public to enjoy.

Wait a second I thought it was going to be all Big Games this year? Count me out.

Is there a Hobbit? I've never seen one. Someone please bring this!

    #686 4 years ago
    Quoted from chuckwurt:

We will have tons of these awesome stickers at the show. Get then while they last![quoted image]

Sold, maybe I can stick it on my Yeti cup for the weekend?

    #692 4 years ago

My favorite game last year was Swords of Fury. I had always wanted to play one. What was your favorites?

    #727 4 years ago
    Quoted from metallik:

I'm preserving this autocorrect butchering Yea they're not too loud when you move away from them... much preferred over live bands

Yes, live bands stink and don't go with pinball. It's what I don't like about arcade expo. It only jacks up the price of admission.

    #746 4 years ago
    Quoted from CoreyStup:

We're sorry there are some that don't like the live bands we've had at LAX over the years. I agree that sometimes they can get too loud. We've been working to control the volume last year and will be continuing to do so this year.
I'm not sure how having a band jacks up the price of admission though.

Yeah if the bands are in a seperate room its not a problem. I just noticed the admission is going up every year and the only thing being added are bands which cost money.

I'm first in line for the Elvira premium. Reserving my place now.

Thanks for the hard work everyone did to make this happen. I know it has to be hard to throw a pinball show and not even get a chance to play much.
BTW Camp Washington Chili is the best.

    Quoted from T3quila:

Thanks to everybody who organized this event and to the people that brought their pins. I had an absolute blast. There were so many awesome people to meet, so much pinball to play.
And the kicker is I got the beautiful Oktoberfest machine that ZMeny had for sale. It was awesome that DanDanDan from American Pinball was there as well. Hope you made it home safely, thanks for the great time!
I can't wait for next year, this is an absolute Highlight in my calendar.

Congrats on Oktoberfest. That was a good buy and one of the most popular.

May I ask? Who’s getaway was there? I have that game but this one played better than mine!! Thanks for bringing it!! Appreciate it much!! Pinball love!! ❤️
P.s. great shaking mr. elwins hand for a great JP pin!!

I agree, havn't cared much for that game till I played it this weekend. One of my favs now.

    #878 4 years ago
    Quoted from rlbohon3:

fxdwg Yep, that was my Getaway. Thanks for the compliment. Glad you enjoyed it; it’s probably my favorite of the 5 games I have. As for anything special done to it other than trying to keep it clean (that game gets dirty fast for some reason), I used Marco’s poly bands everywhere, modified the ball launcher a bit, and of course the LED treatment. Spotlights here and there to brighten things up.

I'm guessing its the supercharger because of a metal ball looping around metal ramps?

You know what game this event needs to draw a crowd. HERCULES!

    #948 2 years ago

RecBar 812 has Hercules. They need to get it fixed and bring it or someone at the show. What a production that would be. Step right up!

    #960 2 years ago

Let's hope American Pinball returns and brings there new release and Hot Wheels we missed. What would it take for Pinball Garage to bring the one and only Legends of Valahalla? I mean if people are traveling 10 hours, then....

Sounds like Lee is volunteering. Thanks Lee!

Maybe you can do the first and only tutorial of it live at the show with your rig? Just takes 5 minutes and a crane.

For those of you coming from out of town be sure to check out Jungle Jim's down the street. The Worlds largest International market! Not to mention an amazing tasting bar with a lounge decorated like an airport terminal to relax, check out arrivals/departures on the screens, and play 3 pinball machines. It really is like traveling.... first class.

I’m going to a concert in Columbus on the Wednesday after Pincinnati. That means I’ve got a couple of free days in the Cincinnati/Columbus area and I’m looking for something to do. Any suggestions?

Yeah, 5 way and a cheese coney at skyline near the hotel. Kings Island Winterfest, Jungle Jim's, Christian Moerlein Lager House, Museum Center, Entertrainment Junction, Pins Mechanical, and Top Golf to keep you busy and warm in December.

    1. Hercules from Recbar
    2. Banzai Run
    3. Hobbit
    4. AP's new release
    5. Been awhile since I've seen any of the pinbots at a show?

Here you go Viggin900 !! This weekend only!![quoted image]

I am so excited, last time I played this was Cedar Point 1988! Expect long waits.
Is anyone bringing Hobbit? I still have never played this game or seen it out.

If you are from out of town try Larosa's pizza too. Also Kroger across the street has Glier's goetta to take home. 2 cincinnati staples!

    #1370 2 years ago

Great venue, glad to see the outside tropical area being used for the tournament. Probably the fanciest on the circuit.
I have to disagree with everyones review on Celts. Maybe if I heard the sound it would make more sense? I was bored to death playing it. There are EM games that do a better job of a horse shoe in the middle of the playfield than that. Cuts off the upper playfield, Fish Tales got it right.
Then when I thought it was finally over I got an extra ball. Oh the torture.

I would love to see the largest gathering of Big Game pinballs at the show for the record book.

    Quoted from chuckwurt:

Space will always be an issue at Pincinnati. But the hotel is so great with us and accommodate things so well, we aren’t considering a move at this time.
In the meantime we will do our best to make sure there is plenty of room, no lines, plenty of food and drink options, etc.

One of these years, atleast one, Pincinnati needs to be held at Duke energy convention center downtown. The NW corner. This is the exact spot Montague Redgrave lived in 1871 when he invented and patented the game of pinball. Tell me that wouldn't be the coolest spot in the world to play a game of pinball!

    Quoted from Green-Machine:

YES!!! I need my 1980s fountains. Very rad! Reminds me of the shopping malls.

Looks like the Jungle Room used to have a covered walkway that they got rid of sadly. I love the mixed Spanish mission ecclesiasic style architecture with the classical greek doric order. It really gave the whole place a feeling of flow.

I'll be rolling in with my wife, and a few buddies (most of our 2nd or 3rd year, but hopefully a couple virgins, too!). It's there a trick to meeting fellow pinsiders there? I'd love to get to know some others!

    Room 131
    Knock 3 times
    Password is Fidelio
Bring lots of cash. NO CHECKS.
Everyone there seems to be friendly. The more the merrier.

Great compisition this year. The pins on the sides balancing out the framework, first thing out is the stream cams and then the coolers. Priorities, I can see this isn't your first time.

Ha! I just got home and walked into my bedroom with the lights off thinking my phone was on. Turned out it was my shirt!
