Man, for a chapter show, that is a very strong list. Going to see if the future Mrs. wants to make this a road trip.

This show is right at the end of my Master's class. If I can get my project done in time for that class, I think I'm going to make the trek up that way. Miss being up there, and this show is worth the drive!

    #142 5 years ago

Damn. Those are pretty awesome! Dude, Pincinnati's charter show is doing some serious put up or shut up with the awards!

Hahaha. If you can somehow make this happen, I’ll pay you for it.

    And I'll claim it now!

Talked with WeirPinball yesterday, and as of now, I will be making the trek from Florida to attend this one!!!! About a 14 hour drive and well worth it. I miss the Dayton-Cincy community.

Man, Erik, you are killing it with this show!

So yep, looking forward to being at this one for sure. Need to snag tickets tonight!

    Yay!!!!!
It ain’t just me man. It’s everyone. Just wait. So many good times ahead.
If you get a hotel room make sure and call. They will need to release more rooms but they are available.

    Thanks!

Won't need a room. As the old saying goes, it's not who you are but who you know... : )! Thanks though for the info!

    Quoted from Crile1:

Best thing was that most games, including Houdini, Octoberfest, Beatles, Pirates, Dialed In, ACNC, Monster Bash remake had no lines or only had to wait for current player(s) to finish. This was because of the high percentage of attendees being in the various tournaments and limited ticket sales. For a non-tournament pinball enthusiast like myself, it was heaven. I played 4 games of Pirates and 3 games of ACNC back to back on Friday because no lines. Was the same with other popular games like MM, AFM, Maiden, Fathom, etc. Just a great balance for tourney people and the rest of us. Perfect format!

Enjoy it for now. Just like the Louisville show and TPF, as this show gets more popular, people will come by the droves. People talk about how back in like 2012, TPF was VERY thin, you could walk up to nearly any game and hit "Start". Now, woo whee, get ready to wait. If it has a DMD or newer, you're waiting whether it's the next $20K game in 2019 or a Gottlieb SMB.

    Quoted from comment23:

Oktoberfest is the pin I played the least due to always been 2-3 people deep when I walked by.

LOL, dude, KingPin was 20+ deep at TPF. Prolly a solid 10+ deep on POTCJJP and "the sky's the limit" on ACNC as it was revealed right there at the show. Sounds like this show was super nice - speaks so well for the organizers.

Erik has been smart and kept the show feeling nice and open with limited ticket sales, which is a super awesome move. TPF is - best of my knowledge - unlimited # of tickets, and the congestion at that show is pretty apparent.

Sorry, Erik, that I couldn't make it. Once Scott got injured, that sealed the deal as I didn't feel right about one of us being able to make it and the other being stuck at home. Maybe next year. The drive will be worth it - that's for sure! If it's any solace to you, I spent almost 22 hours between Wednesday and Thursday finishing that Master's class project, so it did work out in the end...!

Next year, I plan to be there. Hope to see you in Pinburgh 2019 as well!!

    Quoted from comment23:

That wasn't a complaint on my part. I spent most of my time volunteering at the event so I couldn't make my way back there.

And it's due to cumulative efforts like yours that contributed to this show's success : )!

    Quoted from WeirPinball:

Note to self - no lifting 2 months out

You misspelled "ever" when you typed "2 months out".

    Quoted from WeirPinball:

Only took 3 people to put the head on - piece of cake

D:< ..... I try to forget that. Man, that was a beast. The head was prolly nearly as heavy as a full pinball machine.

This was a fantastic show. I had a great time being back to a show since TPF 2019. Erik and Jeremy are just absolutely killing it. The fact this is only the 2nd or 3rd year and it is hitting all cylinders this well, man, I can't imagine 4-5 years from now.

    Great job, guys!!

Some games you only need to play once. Celts was one of them.

Kudos to you not going with the same ol' AFM, MM, MB, "insert popular game here title" design. Loving it!!!

Erik, do you need any more help to load games to the show? Thr Honda Fit can fit one if you still need help!

Rumor is 1445 before it comes back on

I took some pictures, but most were general "floor pictures" and I figured would be of little interest here.

I LOVED the custom Steamboat Willie themed game. That was awesome!

As usual, Erik put on another stellar show. It gets better every year!
