Anyone bringing an AFM to sell?

I’m looking to buy your FH
or trade for a AFMr SA

    Quoted from bobukcat:

Come on Erik, we still have almost four months to go!

    Happy One-Week-Until-Load-In-Day!!!
Man, Royal Flush and Stars rule.

Looking forward to finally meeting you!

    #1139 2 years ago
    Quoted from lancestorm:

Your comment on the Ohio thread:
“ Is this thread still called, what’s for sale “in Ohio” right now?
Lol you’re a real piece of work. I’ll see you at Pincinnati.”
    https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/whats-for-sale-in-ohio-right-now/page/134#post-6518286
This reads like a threat to me. And honestly I feel you should not be given entry for it. Additionally calling me a “fag” in your PM to me is really low brow. You have a problem with gay people?
Pincinnati is a welcoming place but stay away from me. I have zero interest in meeting you.

You are bending the truth. I have no problem with you. I was looking forward to having a beer with you. Ask anyone that knows me here on pinside, you have no worries.

    Quoted from Gunnut40:

Damn gotta to work this weekend. I have to two choices I could go to work stay safe. Sounds kinda lame. I might be canned. I could go and have good time. Pffft I will have good time. If I get fired I’m giving up the possibility of owning Terry’s Aerosmith. What would y’all do?

Go to work. There will be more shows

    #1282 2 years ago
    Quoted from Gunnut40:

No way! I’m only calling in one day. Two would of been pushing it. See you there.

    Quoted from lancestorm:

Smash them up and put into your next grilled cheese sandwich!!

I think that actually sounds like a good idea! Add pickles and good-n-hot chips to the combo and you have a Nashville hot grilled cheese

    #1392 2 years ago
    Quoted from Pinballogist:

I may not have organized this event but of course I know of and appreciate all the hard work people working, volunteering, bringing machines etc did! They did a hell of a job keeping things running smoothly!
I don’t believe I said they’re trying to exclude anyone. But for those of us who aren’t 9-5 with weekends off, a late night game room option one night would have been awesome and helped with crowds. Plus, it’s a great way to increase revenue - most would pay more to play more!
Hopefully as the show grows, they’ll be able to get more people working/volunteering, and less people will being doing those 16hr shifts and maybe a late night game room will be considered.
After having seen late night game rooms discussed/support in other threads, I didn’t realize it was such a divisive topic. Yikes.
We had a great time, looking forward to next year! Thanks again everyone.

It is a hotel it could be noisy for the people staying there to sleep.

    #1399 2 years ago
    Quoted from Pinballogist:

Good point! However, if this were an actual concern, I’d think the hotel hosting the event would insist that the game room be closed well before midnight - not to disturb guests.. most of whom are probably there that weekend for the pinball show.
And correct me if I’m wrong.. But it seems like most pinball shows that are at a hotel, like Pincinnati, place games in a ballroom/event space which is often away from guest rooms or has been designed to isolate sound/not disturb guests, so that the hotel may host loud events?
    Thanks again everyone!

Thanks for the thumbs down. Did you notice there are no one giving you thumbs down? Welcome to Ohio! I hear you’re new in town and looking for new friends that play pinball.

PM me your information if you want a shirt we were out of. We will get an order in this week and should be able to ship them first week of January. My t-shirt guy has a busy December but should be able to ship them by first week in January.

Nice! Reminds me of my punk rock days! No holes in my hands but I still have all the holes in my ears

    #1573 1 year ago
    Quoted from jandrea95:

Been a crazy year and have had little time to do much, but it just hit me today that Pincinnati is literally less than a week away.
To say I’m excited is an understatement. My wife and I truly love this event.

Likewise…..my wife and I haven’t been since Covid. Gave away my tickets last year because I chickened out because of Covid. Well… I got Covid in August and survived, who knew I would survive it!? Lol
See you all there this year! Can’t wait

    #1575 1 year ago
    Quoted from jandrea95:

    I’ll buy you a beer.
If you’re into that sort of thing

Would love a beer! Look forward to it. I’ll bring some Bourbon if that tickles your fancy

    #1577 1 year ago
    Quoted from CoolCatPinball:

I'll bring some bourbon and beer!! Super excited!!

I just tried looking at the list at Pincinnati.com. For some reason I’m unable to scroll down the list complete

    #1598 1 year ago
    Quoted from birdman665:

I'm making it a goal to play every machine at the show this year, but I'm especially excited to get my hands on 007, Toy Story, Steamboat Willie, and Joust. Do we know if Brad will bring Weird Al too, cause that would be awesome!!

I want to get hands on Weird Al too The punk stole all my jokes!

He’s literally going to be almost blocking the front door. You won’t be able to get past him without buying.

What are the hours the bar is open?

    #1634 1 year ago
    Quoted from Gunnut40:

You can walk to the hotel across the way and get some to go drinks. I’m not making that mistake again.

I’ll Probably come prepared with a cooler just in case look forward to having I cold one with you. I haven’t seen you in quite awhile

    #1638 1 year ago
    Quoted from CoolCatPinball:

Alright, you guys have my attention. For a first timer like myself, what's the skinny on the booze situation? I'll bring or provide whatever I need to. I want to have a good time, and make sure folks I meet do as well. Coolers, liquor, beers? What's permitted and what's not? I don't want to be caught short handed.

As far as I know you can bring in a drink in hand. I try not to make a scene with a cooler inside. But just go to car or room and make a drink and head back to the show.
It’s good to support the bar but that can get expensive. But maybe do a little of both. What are Eric’s thoughts on this?

Great show this year. Thanks Erik and Jerry and to all behind the scenes. All the sponsors.

A lot of hard work went into Pincinnati and it showed! Thanks to all the willing pinheads who brought their machines. We had a good time and look forward to next year at PINCINNATI

    #1777 1 year ago

Any digital photo albums of the show yet?

    #1779 1 year ago
    Quoted from FtrMech:

My Stargate is back home now...I was completely blown away winning Best Modern Pin...it was completely unexpected. Hell, I didn't even know there was any competition. This is my first pinball award ever. Thanks to all those who gave my Stargate consideration. Thanks Eric for another amazing show. I have to give props to Scott Weir for his tutelage in pin-restore. See you all next year!
    [quoted image]

It played fantastic. Thanks for bringing it to the show. I didn’t realize I wanted one till I played yours

    #1810 1 year ago
    Quoted from Viggin900:

One of these years, atleast one, Pincinnati needs to be held at Duke energy convention center downtown. The NW corner. This is the exact spot Montague Redgrave lived in 1871 when he invented and patented the game of pinball. Tell me that wouldn't be the coolest spot in the world to play a game of pinball!

Ah back when pinball was cheap entertainment. Definitely much cooler now

Might be able to start reserving rooms next week if you want.

YES!!! I need my 1980s fountains. Very rad! Reminds me of the shopping malls.

    Quoted from chuckwurt:

Assuming you loved the art, who would be interested in buying a very limited (50) show poster to commemorate the 5th year of Pincinnati? Price would be 40-50 bucks.

Do you have a photo of it?

    #1874 10 months ago
    Quoted from chuckwurt:

No. We haven’t gotten that far as we have no idea if 50 will sell. It’s expensive to make these. We could only hope to get our money back really.

Cool! Just curious. Thanks for the reply

    #1876 10 months ago
    Quoted from chuckwurt:

Yeah we would for sure reveal the art with plenty of time and might even do a pre order for those that want the option so there isn’t a max dash for them at the show like some weird hippie concert festival.

    Thanks Eric

    Quoted from chuckwurt:

Waitlists are not too long yet, get a spot!
But in the future, you need to be ready at the bell to get tickets. With abandoned carts that get snagged up, tickets are gone in 4-5 mins for the tournaments. But if you are ready to go, you should be on the waitlist very high at worst.

Do you have a sponsor list going yet?

    Quoted from Gryszzz:

Saw Danzig last night at MegaCorp Pavilion and mannn...so jealous. I love Cincinnati... such a great city. Saw Mercyful Fate last year there at the Brady and that place was GREAT. But last night's show was just incredible, partly due to such a freakin AMAZING venue.
That place is the perfect size, perfect spot. Just beautiful.
Beats the shit outta anything we have in IN, and for KY, that's a first.

    Quoted from snyper2099:

Nope. It's not just you. The game suffers tremendously from the problem of having every light on the playfield actively strobing during the entire game while blinding the player with flashers. Good luck knowing what to shoot during a mode and not being blinded during a multiball.

    I wear sunglasses…… you know…. Like a Rockstar.
