I own Pinbot and his Bride, they are a matched set, and I am only going to break them up if the wife and I ever split up (unlikely since we are on a 30 year bliss streak so far... knock on cheap, dimpled, water-based clear-coated wood) and she gets the Bride and I get the groom... But my wife made me wait to buy Pinbot instead of buying a Sorcerer some 25 years ago, and OMG am I glad she did. This is a no-brainer if you like a nice semi flatwood, multi-level, 2 ball multiball SS alpha numeric from the 80’s... it was top of the line at the time, sold like 12k or so units, and continues to hold your interest in a 6-7 machine collection. And it was featured in the Tom Hanks movie “Big” so there is that as well... Pinbot also had the best original music score in a pinball machine for a VERY LONG TIME. I never get tired of the High Score initials entry music, we always turn out the room lights and watch the high score light show and listen to the music all the way through by entering my last initial but not pressing the credit button...

I wanted (and still want, actually) a Jackbot to complete the trilogy trifecta, however, having two machines with the exact same playfield layout in a 6 machine collection was a dealbuster for the wife... she looked at it and said, “it’s just Pinbot with a DMD and a crappy casino theme...” so that pretty much sealed the deal on getting a Jackbot, no matter how many times I have tried to convince her otherwise, nor how many JB owners have told her it is a totally different playing game. And I will admit, I enjoy JB a lot more than Pinbot for a different challenge, however the point bloat on the machine plus the wagering and payout elements make it a little of a mixed bag and runs close to unwanted/unliked rules like that embarrassing BBBB...
