Hi guys,
Working on a Pinbot for a friend. The left flipper is a 23-600 and is working fine. The right flipper someone changed to a 11722 and it is weak. It flips, but it's useless. There is no mechanical binding, the problem is electrical.
I used my DMM and I measure 12VDC on the 11722 coil lung. Oddly enough I'm seeing 12VDC on the 23-600 (left flipper) as well but remember the left one is working fine? WTF?
So I open up the backbox and measure the power output from the flipper board. I'm seeing 68.8V on the grey/yellow wire (left flipper) and 68.8V on the blue/yellow wire (right flipper).
I traced the grey/yellow and blue/yellow wire to under the playfield. I disconnected the first connector and used my DMM on the pins. I got 12VDC again for both. This is the same voltage I'm seeing at the flippers.
I'm confused as to why I'm seeing 12VDC at the connector point. There is only maybe 3 or 4 feet of wire before I get to the connector from the flipper power board. Wiring is fine (no cuts, kinks). It's basically a direct wire harness.
Is there something I'm missing here? How can the left flipper be working if it is only receiving 12VDC?
