Good day Pinside. Just purchased a Pinbot this week and had a couple issues i could use some assistance with one inparticular.

The main visor and colored drop targets just constantly go up and down at the top. From the moment you turn the game on and throughout the game. No matter what is hit or touched. The previous owner told me it worked fine and then literally turned it on one day and this started to happen. Any ideas where to start or what to adjust?

I checked they just keep going up and down. When under play field i can hear the motor just turning constantly is there something wired incorrectly?

Attached is a video

how were you able to get it fixed up?

Quoted from GRUMPY:

Start by posting a pic of the 2 switches, then look for a broken wire on the switches. Check the switch adjustment for each one. Lastly test each diode on each of the 2 switches.

thank you I will do this after work today

The two black wires that go from the motor to the relay, are they wired right on the relay?

Both the switches work fine obviously if its going up and down constantly what i find is that the motor just keeps running all the time which turns and hits the switches.

Quoted from chipleader:

You can see in the video he posted that the switches are registering.
The problem is the relay board was changed to a snubber board relay.
It has to be either C-11232-1 or C-11232-2 relay board.

The previous owner said he switched that relay board. Is it something with the board or the way he installed/wired it?

Quoted from someotherguy:

For what it's worth,
C-11232 is fully populated - relay, capacitor C1, diodes D1 and D2, and resistor R1
C-11232-1 has relay and diode D1, no other components or jumpers
C-11232-2 has relay, 0.1 uF C1, diode D1, and R1 is simply a 0 ohm resistor (essentially a jumper)
My PinBot's snubber board label is long gone but C-11232-2 is what is in my properly functioning game.

Interesting information. Do you have a link to somewhere i can purchase the appropriate board?

I finally got to checking this and yes the motor keeps running so its the board i need to replace. Does anyone know where i can get a compatible board?

C-11233-1,  C-11232-2 Original or aftermarket doesnt matter just need to find one somewhere as my game is basically unuseable

Thanks for the help! Sorry it took so long to respond

bump still need help

I think the problem is that the guy I bought the game off of added this board which is apparently the wrong board. I don't even have an original board to repair. thanks for the response though

Yea i cut the wire and the motor kept running

Quoted from chipleader:

I have C-11232-1 relay board, the case has a hole in the top it though, it works fine. You can have it if you want it.
Like I said earlier the snubber relay board will not work for the visor motor, the ac power that runs the motor backfeeds through the resistor and cap and the motor runs continuously.

Wow thats awesome PMed. Appreciate everyones help. Will pay it forward. And will update the thread.
