Sometimes the visor doesn't open and close as it should. It will open, then close, then open. Sometimes the motor will rotate counter clockwise, the cylinder will push against the switch and can’t travel any further. See attached picture. The motor seems to recognize this and then will rotate counter clockwise as it should and the Visor functions properly. It seems if the motor always went counter clockwise the visor would open and close properly.

Why would the motor ever rotate clockwise? The rollover switch prevents it from fully rotating. The switch doesn’t look like it it’s not in its proper position. However I couldn’t tell you what is right or wrong here because I don’t know the details of how it is supposed to function. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

It's an AC motor so very strange!
I had one apart yesterday maybe the piece with the stop is broken inside.

it could be the pic, but that microswitch looks to have solder blobs on the solder tabs?

if so, are they shorting on the metal mounting plate?

I replaced the motor with a new one and everything works properly now. Likely the stop within the motor was broken. Thank you all for the help.
