The right flipper on my pinbot has suddenly died. This is a new realm of technical mystery for me. I have my manual out along with my trusty friend, Sir/Madame Google but am flummoxed nonetheless.

Has anybody out there run into this before or have any suggestions for troubleshooting?

#1 is to check voltage to the coil
#2 try grounding it like you would any other non-working coil

if both those are fine then you'll have to start checking continuity between flipper buttons and the MPU

I checked voltage to the button earlier - zip nada. I will check voltage to the coil first thing in the morning.

If you do not have voltage on the blue coil wire then remove the flipper power supply board and check for a cracked header pin on J-3 connector.

While good advice, #1 should be check for loose wires on the coil lug.

Sometimes those wires look okay.
.. but a little tug reveals the truth.

Five minutes with the soldering iron and all is well. Thanks everyone!
