How long are you holding the ball on the flipper?

Which flipper? Does the game has end of stroke switches that activate on switch test?

Just to clarify what the others are asking, if the game doesn’t see any switches close for a certain amount of time, it will go into ball search which is why DK is inquiring about the EOS switches.

Not specifically the EOS which is for the flipper but the lane change switches (only used on pinbot for HSTD initial entry and instant info) that are outboard of those.

The ball search routines aren't supposed to do so if you're holding a flipper up because of these switch matrix switches. Check them they are likely out.

Do not adjust them with the power on it's very easy to slip and short the solenoid voltage to the low voltage switch matrix blowing stuff up.
