Quoted from chipleader:Mine would stick in that same spot when the ball didn't quite make it to the 100,000 point hole, and would roll back down the ramp slowly.
Finally got tired of it last week, and decided to try a hair dryer on it.
Didn't even take 30 seconds to heat it up and make it pliable, I wrapped some masking tape around a pinball and put it in the ramp to hold it in place while the ramp cooled down.
It is working great now.
That took some balls to do... nice one.

I've upgraded 2/3/4 flippers on 18 or so 1980's Williams machines.
I always re-use the old coils and lane switches. Everything else is new. In retrospect, I would have likely kept all the old brackets, and just screwed the springs into the playfields to save a little $ and make "shorting" very unlikely. On the plus side, I really like the new bracket look.

True dat.
What's the story on the right red shoulder ramp?

You can order piano wire through marco and other places and grab this:

Use digital calipers to get the right diameter

I'll post a full resto thread soon, but I'm only about 15 hours into this pinbot, and it's playing 95% as good as it's ever gonna play. Flipper rebuild and a couple more low impact rubbers when possible, and we're good to go. I really lucked out on this pick-up.

before (note the black ball swirl leading up to the eyes, the edges worn on both sides of the gap)
20181214_pb-eyes-before-close-up (resized).jpg
after (from dull to shiny with just mylar, and a lower playfield mylar polish/wax!)
20181214_pb-eyes-touched-up-w-mylar (resized).jpg
And doing that "eye section restore took about $10 in oil-based pens, magic eraser, mylar, wax paper, naptha, 3m pad for the graining, and about 2 hours. It was really easy. Even removing the ramp and head bracket pins was easy peasy compared to a Taxi, Diner, or Whirlwind...
Oh, and I forgot to mention... GREAT game. (yeah I'm in the honeymoon, but the more I tighten this up and play it, the fewer flaws I'm noticing, and really rejoicing the speed, solidness, and the great programming.) I'm hitting solar value once per game now, so there's no score inflation (until I get the roms switched out)

I'm looking for that home-made decal that goes over the target bank that drops. I PM'd the dude that made them, but no response.

I'm gonna try bell-shaped silicon rubbers in the upper instead to make the eyeball shots more difficult, will report back

Can you take two more photos?
1. directly above the frame and the flipper "hinge" so we can see that the frame is just above the height of the flipper
2. ball guide centered with frame end in bottom part of pic, so we can see how far away the guide is from lining up with the end of the frame
I'll go look at mine to compare.
For great Williams pinball ball action, it is essential that the ball can moonwalk easily, which requires:
A. alignment (your problem)
B. switch height being just right
Quoted from Aniraf:worn
I realize it's a picture angle, but make sure the 2 switch stack screws aren't touching the solenoid...
