Pin-Bot was my favorite as a kid. I will own one someday!

Ok the pin-bot tilt happens sometimes when the upper drop target for planet advance is hit. Seams like a pop bumper is activating the drain switch. Have also seen the exit ramp switch activated for no reason. none of them fall in the same row of the switch matrix so I am stumped.
All of this happens every 15 to 20 games or so.
Quoted from wayout440:Check out the last section about random switch problems, there's a video too.

Still trying to isolate what switch is in which position when it happens. Matrix lists a playfield tilt and a ball tilt. is there and easy way to tell the difference when they are triggered?
mine sounds awasome. I love the sound of it! one of the best if not the best sound. I think many of the williams games had better sound then many of the later sterns.
hmm One of the 330ohm resistors is laying in the bottom of my pinbot. Just noticed it today when I was doing some cleaning. it did not effect play as i have been playing it alot and all the flashers seam to be working. It came from the board next to the shooter lane. I saw something about taking these out for led? before I fix it since I am going to led the game what does that one control and should I replace it?
After I go clear coated cpr on mine I will have a decent mylar covered one to part with. Needs some insert work at the multipliers. I am only changing it because I want my pin bot which is my favorite machine I own, to be as close to perfect as possible.
I am chasing a switch error around. So far i have seen a false outlane, tilt thinking playfield or ball roll since it tilts right away, exit ramp, sometimes false triggering stand ups. All my errors seam to come from sling shots, pop bumpers, and top drop target. Top drop gives tilt. Outlane seen from both sling and pop bumper. So it seams like Column 7 is messing with the switches from 2. here is the issue, I do not see a normally closed switch on 2. I run switch test and still do not find a closed switch on 2.
Suggestions??
A normally closed switch would be one like ball trough. If a ball is there it would be closed during play. Say its column 2 row 2 in the matrix. If a bad diode was also in row 2 then it could feed a whole new column.
other way around I am getting switches that were not hit. like a tilt from the top drop target. Or a vortex from the pop bumpers area. an outlane from the right sling.
