I'm a trilogy owner myself. I think Pin-Bot was the first pinball machine I ever played! I am having issues with my Pin-Bot at the moment, but once I figure it out I want to do the 1/2 and 1/2 color like you did as well.

Love the T-shirt. I definitely need to get something like that made up for Christmas!

#28 10 years ago

Well its definitely not the same awesomeness of the shirt above, but here is another Pin-Bot shirt for sale from Redbubble. http://www.redbubble.com/people/popcultfanatics/works/8063040-pinbot-retro?p=t-shirt

I removed my mylar with the goo gone and hairdryer method with minimal lifting as well. I would recommend freeze spray though as well.

Quoted from skywalker:

thanks,
any tips on finding some mylar pre cut sheet

Are you looking for something like this? I think this is what you are looking for. Pin-Bot game specific mylar:
ebay.com link: Pinbot Pinball Machine PLAYFIELD Factory Mylar Set
Edit: Above link isint working for me on Pinside even though it is the correct link. You can use the below link and manually search for Pin-Bot from this seller.
ebay.com link: classicarcades

An alternative to Mylar I used for the eye sockets on my Pin-Bot:
http://www.pinballpal.com/stealth/#Playfield
This stuff is supposed to be removable without damaging the artwork. I haven't dared to remove mine though so I don't know accurate this statement is.

I know this doesn't help out much, but I do know that the faces were available for individual sale at least at some point. I was able to get the mask from http://www.actionpinball.com/ but unfortunately they are sold out as well. I'll keep looking for them as well! On their website the part is called " PDG078"

I just shattered my Pinbot translite glass yesterday, when doing, of all things - opening it up to help answer someone's question on Pinside. New glass on order...boy what a mess those things make when they go!

Ouch that sucks indeed I feel your pain! The good news though is CPR has been working on a translite to backglass and should hopefully be getting finished soon (Just my guess I don't work/know anyone at the company). So that's just one more reason to buy a brand new backglass when available. http://www.classicplayfields.com/updates.html

Lots of love for Pin-Bot recently. I have finally got mine playable as well recently, and have started to notice all the things I did wrong when rewiring my playfield. Looks like I forgot a wire in the left side GI lighting. Anyone willing to do me a favor and post a pic where these bulbs are supposed to be powered up from? I have no lights from these bulbs all the way down to the blue side slingshot.

*Bump bump* Anyone willing to help me out with one last favor? When I rewired my playfield, I missed a wire that powers up the left side of the playfield GI lights. I don't need this wire traced back into the head just where I put a jumper on to feed the left side.
(If this doesn't make sense I can post a pic of the right side and what I missed but finally found that made everything work)

Thanks Ill look at this and see if I can figure out something. I was able to fix the right side of the playfields issues because I saw another user with the table up and noticed I was missing a single wire pulling basically across, so I repeated and now that side all works.

Hopefully its just dumb luck for this side as well!

I think I found the start of my problem. This seems to be the first bulb that is not working and most likely is supposed to feed the oncoming row.... Ill fool around and see if I can get them to jumper properly soon.

For the first time in 5 years Pin-Bot is light up and properly playable! Thanks to Greco Bros. in Albany New York, Ray of Action Pinball in Utah, and especially Wayout440 of Pinside for the constant repairs, and diagnostics. I don't think Ill attempt another playfield swap for quite some time ha!

(Turns out I messed up one last wiring for the GI and out of sheer desperation, I tested the GI lighting on the board without a fuse and it all light up instantly! Looks like I burned out the fuse with the initial bad wiring as well heh...)

Some random Pin-Bot love today. A non Pinsider showed off some pics of a foreign version of Pin-Bot. Absolutely beautiful. Hell, I will go as far as to say this version was better produced than the Williams team (I know I will burn in Hell for that comment).

Also anyone watch the show Legit? Open your eyeballs in a few episodes and look at what is outside of the guys bachelor pad. (hint hint it deals with this thread).

Someone semi local to myself has been making and selling a v2.0? Red vortex ramp if people are still in need. This guy claims that his is made out of a new material and will not break. Seller is specialtyplastics1 on Ebay. Here is a link to his last auction. I would assume that means he will be listing another here soon.
