I recently replaced a few lamp sockets mainly the extra ball sockets and the planet sockets. All done correctly...diodes on correctly, etc. Now during the game several of the planet inserts flash or are lightly dim when they shouldn't be on. Any ideas? thnx John

Quoted from statictrance:

Check the diodes again - I had a similar problem once I got mine home and it was a diode that was correctly installed but shorted out against another diode causing the strobing. Look at the matrix for the lights in common to know the handful to check.

OK, thanks. I'll check again

Quoted from Plumonium:

Perhaps simply ghosting. Are you running regular LEDs?

They are Pinball life non ghosting leds. I just put all incandecents back in and have the same issues. The planets will come on and off almost to full brightness when they aren't supposed too.

Problem of leds flickering.....usually I put a paper towl below the new socket I'm soldering in but being lazy I didn't in this case. Upon very close inspection I found a piece of solder that had dripped on a socket below. I removed it and now everything works 100%

Quoted from Blitzburgh99:

Can anyone comment on the CPR mirrored backglasses for Pinbot? Are they good? Recommended upgrade?

I have one in my Pinbot. It looks great......way more professional than a paper translite in my opinion.
