Quoted from Chrisbee:

Maybe time for an upgrade - Try Vista, I'm sure you will be keen to return to 3.1 after a week or two.

while I was reading this, as soon as you said vista. I thought to myself, i'd rather use windows 3.1.

I've heard Alex is actually a lot of fun at parties. Although I wouldn't know personally, because every time he catches wind that I'm about to show up, he leaves.

LOL. Your timing sucks. I'm ALWAYS at the parties or events. You just show up fashionably late.

Quoted from Aurich:

... Yeah, just because Apple is using Intel now doesn't mean they're just another OEM, they do a crazy amount of customization. Their towers are unfortunately over-designed and stupid now ...
You still shouldn't use the Java browser plugin on them though.

Or as I call it, the non-pro MacPro (and I have a REAL MacPro in a metal tower). The new Macpro is the bastard grandson of the Cube.

It's awful. I get ivy wanted it to be slick looking and it is but it's usefulness and expandability just isn't there. You can't rely on all external devices.

Ha, so true. I loved the Cube for what it was, but a good computer was not it.

I actually have two cubes (one complete with a Apple LCD Display, a second one in parts that needs a USB connector replaced, but does work).

There are PC laptops on the market that crush Macbooks, but you have to be willing to pay the price.

That said, I got my wife a macbook for christmas
