I just watched it for the first time then after having heard all the comments on it. To be honest, I don't think it's as bad as it's been made out and perhaps it helped that I heard the C2C episode before having watched it. I know reality TV is going to skew things and having heard at least what Marc had to say and having met him briefly at TPF last year, I kinda knew all the personalities are going to be amplified and edited especially to make the show look appealing to a wider audience.
I mean, no-one goes into a tattoo parlor expecting LA Ink or a pawn shop expecting Pawn Stars, do they?
Even with the people making money out of the (staged) dumpster and garage finds, it's better that someone actually finds them and gets them back in circulation than having them either rot or even worse, just thrown out. That one EM that was in the owner's eyes good enough for the scrap heap has just been saved and now someone else will get to enjoy it.
