    Quoted from Rabscuttle:

    Not cool.
PinZach, if you put your creations up on Flickr, you could specify the rights usage, and I think you'd be at least kind of covered going forward, legally.
Edit: it's great to see the company come forward and resolve the matter, but it could easily happen again. At my day job, we won't even put a picture on a blog that isn't properly attributed, and you can be served with cease and desist papers for doing so. I mean, I tried to get my husband an iPhone case with the Tron playfield on it for Christmas, and even though we own Tron, Zazzle cancelled the order due to copyright considerations (which I regret but understand). You have to take this stuff big time serious these days.

He doesn't need to put them on Flickr. Just add a note on his own site that these cannot be sold.

Still, they were not just selling normal prints. Backlit film prints is a different story.

    Hi again,

we accept Zach's wish and will remove the cards from our shop. We only wait for his confirmation what we have to remove, which cards are made by him.

It was a mistake to put the cards without asking where they came from. In future we will ask when someone sends us a card, if he mades it by himself. Then we will add this information to the article in the shop "Made by Real Name (optional alias)", with optional link to a homepage.

By the way: It is right, that we are not getting rich by printing the cards. Make your own experience with printing on backlit films and compare the quality. The price is basically for the print service.

Sorry again, I hope this solution is fine for everbody. Feel free and send us your cards

    Best regards

Holger, just wanted to reiterate, I definitely don't blame you for it happening, and applaud your efforts to communicate and make it right. All this stuff is a very gray area, and navigating it can't be easy.

In the end, I really wish I'd been able to get that iPhone case from Zazzle, I have to admit...

BTW, here is an interview I did with PinZach a while back. He's a good guy, too, and involved in a lot of cool retro game-related stuff:
