Quoted from MES:Anyone own a Seiko Tuna Can? Thinking of getting one.
MES got me thinking and looking. I searched eBay and bought myself a slightly used Seiko Tuna Can dive watch. Maybe I need to take up diving now!image.jpgimage.jpg
I love this thread. It's nice to see we have some non-pinball interests! I acquired five new watches this week for a price a price that would've got a few nice pins! A Seiko Astron SSE055 (GPS watch, really cool), Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M (James Bond limited edition), Omega Seamaster Bullhead (retro, limited edition update on original 1969 Bullhead) and an Omega Seamaster 300 Master Co-Axial (stainless steel version. I also picked up a Tissot PRC 200 Quartz Chronograph for my wife.
Quoted from spfxted:That Omega Seamaster Bullhead looks pretty damn sweet!
I think it's my favorite!
I'm kinda waiting for this Steinhart. Sold out now, but an updated version is due out in the spring.

Quoted from OLDPINGUY:Heres a new one unveiled at CES....For Motorcycle Fans!
Nice! For sale yet?
Quoted from OLDPINGUY:Yes, around 6K
Expensive, but not bad for an Azimuth watch. Bet they sell like hotcakes to all the bikers!
Quoted from pale:My 116613
Pale, nice patina on the Submariner! How long have you had that watch?
Quoted from VGC1612:Whats your thought on his watches for sale:
ebay.com link
Are they your eBay listings?
Quoted from pauloz:Seiko Astron
I also have an Astron, cool watch. Nice collection BTW!
Quoted from OldHarley:Love the panerai. I want one. But I picked up the omega dark side of the moon with rose gold first. Next trip I'll get the panerai.
I was looking at the "Dark Side of the Moon", but I think I actually prefer the "Grey Side of the Moon"
I moved to Hong Kong recently and pinball collection is put on a hold; no pin acquisitions are gonna happen over here! But watches are another story, This is a watch collectors' mecca with watch shops on every street. Rolex, Breitling and Omega shops are dime a dozen. In a couple blocks you will also stumble over Patek Phillipe, Zenith, Bulgari, Chopard, IWC, jaeger-LeCoultre, Panerai, Vacheron Constantin and more. All these shops are low pressure and will show you anything in their case.
Quoted from Perspex:I've got an Uboat Classico with a custom (wider) strap by The Strapsmith.
It'll do until I can afford the dream watch, Panerai 04B.
The strap looks good! I'll be waiting for your Panerai post!
Quoted from Bwitty1977:I once had a few, a 1940s vacheron constantin, a couple of cool longines, and a nice Hamilton. They were stolen... I was done.
I have 17 at the moment. I'll get then all together for a pic sometime.
Quoted from ToucanF16:Sorry to hear about the stolen watches. Were they stored in the same place, taken at the same time?
Quoted from Astropin:How many total watches do you have? Would love to see the whole collection together.
I have 17 at the moment. I'll get then all together for a pic sometime.
Quoted from txstargazer3:I think watches without added complications don't get enough love.
I've got a bunch of watches and am learning the simpler the better. I wear a different watch daily and setting day/dates is time consuming. About the only complication I want is a second hand, possibly a GMT hand (I travel a lot) and a reserve indicator.
Quoted from pauloz:Just arrived
Very nice! I envious!
I did some research on Bremont. Seems they have quite an aviation background.
Quoted from spfxted:Had this made, for the price of a watch!
Frankenmug!!
I want one! Where did you get it made?
Quoted from Astropin:How many total watches do you have? Would love to see the whole collection together.
It's a rainy day in Hong Kong so I finally got the collection together. Questionable focus on some pictures, but you can see my collection.
Quoted from Astropin:I have this one pre-ordered - Magrette (mah-gret-tee) Dual Time Automatic PVD.
shop2345200.pictures.DTblackpvd_XL_1_(resized).jpg
Wanted a two time zone watch and liked the "inner dial" verses having a separate "GMT" hand.
Just looked at the Magrette website... nice looking watches and reasonable prices. My Omega Bullhead has the rotating inner dial for a second timezome.
Quoted from Meegis:I see a lot of panerai in those magrettes
Like the sandwiched dials...
Quoted from Meegis:I have a few watches in my collection, but nothing crazy. Father also has a few nice pieces.
Send pics. Alwsys love to see other peoples watches!
Quoted from Astropin:It showed up early!
Looks good, some Panerai pincushion looks there. Congrats on the new acquisition!
Quoted from Meegis:My box. Not including a couple cheapies I throw in my night table drawer.
Meegis, nice collection! What's the watch between the Concord and the Carrera?
I like the presentation box. I'd love to have one to display my collection, but the wife (General) says it would attract a thief. Needless to say, my watches are all in jewelry bags and plastic sleeves in a drawer! LOL!
Quoted from txstargazer3:Rolex is releasing a new Daytona:
They also released a new Yacht-Master last year I've been eyeing. Now to find one on the second-hand market! Stock photo, not mine (yet)!
Anyone into watch mods? If so, check out this place. This guy is fantastic to work with and makes a great product!
Quoted from spfxted:Getting one for the Rolex Zephyr! Just gotta figure out which one!! Stingray or ostrich!
I ordered seven straps from Aaron. They should arrive soon. His communication is fantastic, over the top!
Quoted from HeyYouSir:Any experiences with Deep Blue watches? Pros / Cons? Thanks!
http://www.deepbluewatches.com/
I don't know about Deep Blue, but would like to hear what others have to say. Looks like they have a good selection of diving and aviation watches!
Quoted from spfxted:Been texting with Aaron. (he gets back to you FAST!) Looks like I may be getting this for the Rolex Zephyr! (lol...near $200 so I have to hide it from the wife!)
0_0_0_0_566_377_csupload_68431270_toad_(resized).jpg
I ordered seven straps from Aaron. I'll post photos once I get them. Like I said, he's a great communicator. He also has a fantastic website.
Quoted from JoeJet:Just picked up this guy for wearing around..
Nice daily wear watch!
Quoted from spfxted:Looks like my band is ready!
Looks fantastic. Can't wait to see it on the watch. My bands from Aaron are ready too!
Quoted from Astropin:Ventus Caspian - Type B
Brass case (I plan on treating it with "brass ager" this weekend...
Show us the after pictures.
Quoted from BestShot31:How about a pinball themed iWatch face image?
Might have to get an iWatch!
Way too much $$$ on my watch and pinball and jukebox collections. Should've struck with stamps ... NOT!
Need to update your watch? I ordered some custom straps from Aaron at http://www.combat-straps.com/. They came in today and I spent the afternoon changing out straps. His work is fantastic and his customer service is second-to-none.
Quoted from Kratogen:For me, pinball is therapy from the world of watches...
Very well said!
BTW, love the Speedy (inside and out!)
Quoted from HeyYouSir:My circa 1915 Longines 17 jewel pocket watch that my grandfather gave to me years ago.
One nice watch! There's some history there! How's it keep time? What do you know about its service history?
Quoted from Kratogen:A Jaquet Droz with petrified wood dial (client's watch posted w/permission)
Super cool. There's a Jaquet Droz store here in Hong Kong. I drool everytime I walk by the place!
Quoted from Saveleaningtower:^ awesome. When I saw my first panerai in torrneau, Vegas, I knew id own a few before long.
The one pictured, a PAM111, was my first. I've acquired a few others since.
Quoted from HeyYouSir:My 1904 Hamilton Watch Co. pocket watch that my grandfather gave to me years ago.
Gorgeous pocket watch!
Quoted from HeyYouSir:My new watch... A Christopher Ward C70 HRDC (Historic Racing Drivers Club) limited edition quartz chronograph.
Nice looking watch!
A couple additions to my collection. One old and one new! A 1970 Omega Speedmaster with a stepped dial purchased from another collector. I have the original bracelet but am wearing it with a Combat-Straps.com canvas strap. The other is a Tudor Black Bay with a stingray NATO strap.
Quoted from Kratogen:Made this exhibition caseback today for a client's vintage Omega Constellation
Is that similar to casebacks I've seen on eBay for Speedmasters?
Quoted from Kratogen:I'm not familiar with those, have a link? This one we fabricated in the workshop.
ebay.com link: Crystal case back with sapphire crystal insert for Omega Speedmaster watches
Quoted from Astropin:I've looked at those but they are too big for me.
It's a unique and good looking watch. The size really isn't a problem. It's really the weight! The watch has the tendency to submarine. It's also not a watch that you can quickly glance at to see the time, particularly in the dark.
Quoted from Meegis:Does the dry night indicator let you know if you've wet the bed?
On a serious note though, the distributor for sevenfriday here is run by a local car dealership (they are more than just cars) and I really like them. Just tapped out financially for the last little while.
I'll be frank. The watch is innovative and well manufactured but it's a pain to read the time (that's part of thr attraction I guess). It's top-heavy and large. If you have a large wrist you'll be fine. My wrist is 6 1/2 inches and the watch tends to submarine a lot.
Quoted from Jvspin:Recently acquired my first automatic mechanical watch after a conversation with Kratogen got me thinking...
...I like that the jump hour complication is a little different than my other watches but still easy to read.
That Perrelet is gorgeous!
I have a Breitling Bentley Flying B. Similar complication, but different presentation.
Quoted from pinmaniac:Just picked up this beauty.
Pepsi GMT is up there for n my wish list. I'm m jealous! Tell us about that find.
Quoted from ToucanF16:Pepsi GMT is up there for n my wish list. I'm m jealous! Tell us about that find.
Someday I'll have an A. Lange & Sohn! Got any leads?
Quoted from Razorbak86:More Breitling pr0n, please.
I typically wear this model 24/7, unless it is out for service...
Nice watch and great photography. How do you take the picture?
I have time on my hands and a bunch of watches I want to photograph. I started with a Nikkor 105mm F/2.8 macro lens and wasn't happy with the results, I had to get too close to the watch. So I went out today and purchased a 200mm f/4.0 Nikkor. It's supposed to be the best macro lens out there. I also have a 24 inch light box. I just started taking pictures tonight, so far I'm not happy with the results. I'll keep working at it.
Quoted from ZNET:When I was a teenager in the 1970s,
What a great story and a fantastic watch. Thanks for sharing.
Quoted from RobT:...I have the same tripod/head combo. That's really nice stuff!
This is a bit off the pinball/watches topic, but California based ReallyRightStuff makes phenominal tripods, ball heads, clamps, camera plates and pano gear. It doesn't get any better. Everything they make is a work of art and the highest quality. Their stuff is conceived, designed and manufactured in the USA; it doesn't get any better. The company's owner, Joe Johnson, is totally dedicated to photography as a hobby and profession.
Quoted from Rdoyle1978:...I was wondering if there's a "pinside for watches" where I might be able to sell it?...
Try http://www.rolexforums.com or http://www.vintagerolexforum.com/
Post a pic here for the rest of us to see!
Quoted from aobrien5:So I'm not nearly on the same level as you guys.
That's what's cool about watches; wear what makes you happy. Collecting pinballs is better than collecting watches. At least they hold their value better. Most watches lose 30% as soon as they walk out the door. Always buy high-end watches preowned.
That's a lot of watch for just a little cash! Hard to believe you get an automatic for less than $200. Probably has a 21-jewel Miyota 8215 movement. It's a dependable work horse used in lots of watches. Looks like a good watch for the cash, particularly for somebody just getting into the hobby.
Quoted from HeyYouSir:Years ago I had one of the first Seiko Kinetic watches that had a rechargeable energy cell that was charged by the watch's automatic rotor. Eventually the cell (battery) no longer held a charge and the cost to replace the built-in cell was too much to make it worth it.
I too was an early adopter the Seiko Kinetic watch. I bought a matching set my wife and I back in the early 90s. I had the capacitors replaced about 10 years ago. It was a waste of time and money. It would've been easier just to replace batteries every couple years! Now the new solar watches are fantastic. I have a solar GPS Seiko Astron which I swear by.
Quoted from PinSinner:Nothing beats this $15 specimen...
Is showing the credit dot?
Quoted from PinSinner:It's showing a naughty word on the watch screen...read it again...I used to love that old calculator trick as a kid.

Nothing wrong with Sinn watches. They're a good watch and viable lower cost alternative to a Brietling. That Sinn uses a SW500 movement, not the ETA 2824 or Valjoux 7750 many other manyfactures use.
About the SW500. http://www.watchfreeks.com/33-general-watch-discussions/19400-swiss-sw-500-automatic-chronograph-v-s-valjoux-7750-a.html#/topics/19400?_k=x7ojr5
Quoted from ToucanF16:I haven't seen any posts here lately. Figured I'd post a picture of my latest acquisition; a SevenFriday Series V.
I couldn't read the time on the SevenFriday Series V, so I exchanged it for a Series Q (first stock photo), then modded it with a Leatherman Tread bracelet!
Quoted from HeyYouSir:2nd Generation Seiko Orange Monster...
Love that orange dial!
Quoted from Spyderturbo007:Nothing crazy expensive like most of you guys have, but I got this Boluva last week.
Is that one of their new watches with the continuous sweep second hand and quartz movement? I like the dial with the four screws, looks cool.
Quoted from spfxted:Bidding on 2 watches.....hopefully good news later today....
Spill the beans!
Astropin, you have me interested in this watch. How much is the savings on the preorder? I'm looking at a Bronze with AF pilot wings.
Quoted from rooftop:just ordered mine #64 can't wait till march-april, great deal
Is there any significance to #64?
Quoted from RobT:Sold out instantly.
LOL! That happens with many LE Speedys. They'll show up on the secondary market at inflated prices in no time!
Quoted from Astropin:I think the price will come back down to earth though because they are making over 2000 of them.
I live in Hong Kong, watch capital of the world (maybe after Singapore). There are literally dozens of Omega authorized dealers and probably a half dozen Omega Boutiques here. I'm gonna head out and see if I can find the new Speedy!
Quoted from Astropin:Good luck!
Good luck was right! I called my watch guy in Hong Kong. Seems odd, but he says that watch must be ordered online. The Omega site says "All numbers are reserved, but there's still a chance to obtain a number by subscribing to our waiting list"
Mike_J , you got one reserved? Good on-ya!
Quoted from gliebig:I haven't set it properly in years. lol.
Lol! Very impressive watch nonetheless!
Just picked up a limited edition Grand Seiko Black Ceramic Spring Drive GMT. It's a bit large at 46 mm and has a titanium case with ceramic coating. Came with two straps. I have this crazy black and white strap on it now. Very accurate, +/- 1/2 second per day.

IMG_7436 (resized).JPG
Quoted from Astropin:Oh......and here is one for ya Toucan:
Always wanted a Grand Seiko for my collection. But to be honest, they are kind of blah looking. The Spring Drive however, pushed me over the end. It's an interesting mechanism.
Quoted from BudManPinFan:So what do you guys think about the Tag Heuer brand? Good quality? Too pricey? I'm not really a watch guy but I've seen a few of them that I like.
+1 to @Astropin. I say buy what you like. My wife has a two Tags, me none. I do have a couple Hublots and one big ass pimped Invicta. I'm an equal opportunity watch collector!
Quoted from Astropin:Very Nice!
I'm looking at this right now:Alpina Seastrong Heritage Diver. I just love the two tone dial with the inner rotating dial. I like it even with the funky date window placement.
Nice watch! Looking forward to the wrist shot!
I've got to say I'm thoroughly amazed with the Spring Drive in my new Seiko. Even after 72 hours off the wrist it's still running; even better reserve then advertised. It's spot on after three days. I have quite a collection of high-end watches and none of them is as accurate as this! I think it's the perfect blend of mechanics and electronics.
Funny @spfxted!
I put my tunacan on today and figured I would send the wrist shot pic. Just made my post and realized we took our wrist shot pics at about the EXACT same time, only two days apart!
I bought my quartz tunacan a couple years ago because of a post on this thread; maybe by MES
Now I'm thinking of getting a spring drive tuna!
Quoted from spfxted:Cool watch! I just bought this!
What's the indication in the window?
Quoted from Mike_J:Sweet
+1, very sweet!
Welcome to Pinside @seisentx
Is Gorgar your first? Any other pins?
Quoted from fiberdude120:What do you guys think? I have been thinking about picking up a Rolex Sea Dweller, but am not sure the best place to purchase. Anybody here have one they are looking to get rid of? Any ideas where the best price would be? Any help would be nice.
Great watch, I have a Deepsea. Here's a good place to start http://www.watchrecon.com/?query=sea+dweller&sort_column=Price&sort_dir=asc&brand=rolex
Quoted from Astropin:Yeah watchrecon is a great place to find used watches. For the Sea Dweller you're looking at the low end being $5-6k for a one in good condition. Just make sure you vet the seller......as they say "buy the seller not the watch".
+1
There are lots of Sea Dweller knock-offs out there. Some are very good. So good, in fact, you have to remove the case back to really ensure you have a legit Rolox. Knowing the seller is key!
Quoted from fiberdude120:I have seen some really good knock-offs out there. With that being said I am considering just going to a Rolex dealer and dumping the 12K on a new one instead of searching thru the thousands of knock-offs.
Don't go to the dealer just yet. Check out Bob's Watches. They've been around awhile and have a great rep.
Quoted from Astropin:It was the history of the Speedmaster that led me to buying one....that and I think it's a timeless design.
The Speedy is a classic. Here's mine on a custom strap by http://www.combat-straps.com/
Quoted from Azmodeus:Ok here's a story in progress for fun spawned partially by this thread.
I realized I have an old watch. I found it.
I had a stroke and three brain surgeries in the couple years. The watch I have was given to me by my late uncle joe. I had not seen uncle joe since the mid 80s. He was awesome, my dad was a deadbeat dad but my uncle joe was fucking rock of awesomeness.
Anyways, my cousin Joey, his son is still alive across America.
This is where it gets complicated. All of joeys life, he thought his father uncle joe was his adopted dad. I figured out quickly in talking to him, he didn't know the real story. I him inin touch with my mom that day. (This was last week)
Turns out, the cool guy he thought was his step dad, was actually was his real dad, after all.
Now that we know this and he does. The watch his father gave me. I guess I need to return it to him. That will finish the tale. I wanted to ask do I have to gift the watch?
But yes I do. I can't wait to give it to him. I may be losing a watch but there is no way anyone in the world can give him a gift like this.
Peace out brothers and sisters.
Awesome story Azmodeus ! Thanks for sharing!
Quoted from Erik:Anyone know what this model is? Ignore the strap. Is that a factory dial color?
http://forums.watchuseek.com/f319/fs-blue-stingray-strap-minimal-aqua-blue-stitching-seiko-4119762.html
I'm not sure what model it is, but I'm sure the pic is from CombatStraps. Ask Aaron Pimentel at http://www.combat-straps.com/. It may be a customer's watch and he might have some details.
Quoted from NeilMcRae:another one from my speedy collection...
That's one of my grail watches! You're very fortunate to have it. Very limited production. Let me know if you're ever willing to let it go I'd like to be at the top of the list.
Quoted from chrisnack:Nice!
Anyone seen the new MontBlanc smart watch? Looks pretty nice... i'm going to go check one out when my dealer gets theirs.. It's at least worth a look-see
Send a report!
Quoted from herbertbsharp:Bill Cosby did, different type of diving though
Guess he's got in the 2%...
Quoted from LitzDoc:You guys got some nice watches. Here is one I saw recently. Looks pretty cool. It's a perpetual calendar. Pretty big on the wrist
That particular IWC is one expensive watch!
Quoted from halflip87:The 8926OB is awesome too. Sub-like, and you don't have to worry about beating it up or paying $1,000 every time you service it. Just trash it and get another...
The Invicta Speedway series is great too if you want the Daytona look. People trash Invicta for some of their ridiculous designs and inflated MSRPs but at the end of the day, they're a pretty decent value.
-Doug
That Invicta is it pretty convincing sub knock off!
Quoted from Astropin:I don't even own a Rolex and I'm going to say a big NO.
Only if you do it annually!
That's what Rolex recommends. But in reality, under normal conditions, there's no real reason to have itserviced that often (other than to the line Rolex's pockets)
Quoted from Astropin:I believe he's had (and has) quite a few. I think I've scene at least four of his in prior posts.
Panerais are one of my favorites. They can dress up or dres down. Nice history too!
Quoted from Soulrider911:toucanf16 lovely Pam! I actually just sold my 422... to buy a pin lol
Nice 422. What pin did you buy?
Quoted from Yelobird:Stop temping me with more Omega Porn! My Omega addiction is almost stronger than pinball at this point... Beautiful watch.
Panerais are my weakness!
Quoted from chubtoad13:Here’s my Casio Tachy Meter. The green bar moves one tick every second and the red one moves one every 5.
I love this thing. It reminds me of California in the 80s
Good looking Casio. What vintage?
Bought this crowdfund watch. The face is made from an old Soyuz rocket. https://monochrome-watches.com/werenbach-earth-collection-watch-made-real-soyuz-rocket/
Quoted from Astropin:I was in a big watch shop the other day and the Bremont MB II really caught my eye. I've known about Bremont watches for a while but never looked at them in person. Really nice watch..."over engineered" comes to mind. That being said I do think they are overpriced. Relatively newer brand yet the MB II retails for over 5k. Good thing is you can find really nice used ones for 50% off. This watch comes with different colored "barrels" on the sides...I liked the copper best but have also seen army green, orange, blue and red...but you can only get the red if you've actually been ejected from a "Martin Baker" pilot ejection seat! That model is called the MB I.
I live in Hong Kong; high end watch stores and boutiques on practically every corner. Anyway, I can vouch for Bremont; they graciously hosted an office meeting our ours last year. They offered up refreshments and a private meeting room with absolutly no pressure or watch presentation. Or course, being the watch geek I am, I had to check out their product. They make a nice watch.
Class act all around.
Quoted from saucerman:here is one that reminds me of a pinball machine's inner working....bulova's accutron spaceview. I just had a new custom band created which I think works out nicely.
Nice looking Spaceview. Is it and original or conversion?
Quoted from Saveleaningtower:so here is something that is been bugging me for a long time now since smart watches have come out. i stay on top of my fitness goals 1000x more with an apple watch or fitbit on my wrist. but that means i can't wear my panny, deep sea, big bang, ap roo, .... do i put the smart watch on the right wrist and rock the showcase on the left?????? i average over 15000 steps with the smart watch on, 5000 with it off. reminders are what gets me moving and staying healthy. what do you guys do?
17000 steps a day, My Fitbit is always on the right wrist, watch on the left.
Quoted from RyanStl:PW79, love the Seiko Turtle. I picked mine up about 6 months ago and absolutely love it. It's my first automatic watch, and it didn't take me long to change the bracelet to a NATO strap, making it more comfortable.[quoted image]
Send pic on NATO STRAP!
Quoted from PW79:I tried to buy a Rolex last weekend
Sorta
By “tried” I mean “went to look” but based on historical data “went to look” usually ends up as “bought” with anything in life. Except in this case.
It appears Rolex’s don’t actually exist. There’s billboards, magazine ads & a Rolex website full of watches... that don’t exist.
The only stock found were solid gold GMT’s/Subs & the worst combinations of datejusts imaginable. Total turds.
Come to find out authorized Rolex dealers don’t actually sell Rolex’s. You have to go to a scalper or grey market dealer & pay marked up secondary prices to speculators.
Gonna buy Munsters or Maiden to celebrate my 40th instead.
Thanks for reading my life story. I feel better now.
Which model were you looking for? The sports models (Airking/Submariners/GMTs) are always difficult to locate. I think Rolex produces is in a low numbers to keep the prices up. Of course, if you’re looking for an old man’s Datejust, they’re easy to find!
Quoted from Jgel:I have been on the hunt for the past month. This is my fear as well. I am looking for a Tag Heuer Aquaracer. Just can't pull the trigger. I like Ted's idea. Does anyone here have anything they are selling?
It can be scary. Looking for new or used? Maybe try start looking with watchrecon
https://www.watchrecon.com/?brand=tag+heuer
Not a grail watch, but this is been on my list quite some time. I finally picked up a Grand Seiko Snowflake Sprig Drive. The snowflake face has to be seen to be truly appreciated. I tried my best to catch it in the attached photo.
Seiko’s Spring Drve hybrid movement is really special. It has a velvety smooth sweep secondhand and amazing craftsmanship. It has the best of both worlds; mechanical winding and setting with quartz technology. This watch is the accurate within +/-1 second a month.
Quoted from HeyYouSir:Laco Sorrento German automatic type A pilot watch...[quoted image]
Good looking watch!
Quoted from Astropin:Newest Acquisition: Certina DS PH200M
I really like the look on this one. It's also a really nice "bang for your buck" automatic diver and I have a thing for divers. 80hr power reserve is also a fun feature. This one is a reissue of their 1967 diver of the same name (and look). Some people don't like that it has a hesalite crystal vs sapphire...but honestly, I LOVE the look it gives this watch. It measures 43.5mm but I think it actually wears a little smaller. Probably can't tell in the posted picture but it does fit my 6.5" wrist. Came in a very nice hardshell case and included two straps...the one pictures (tan suede leather) and a striped black Nato. Overall I'm extremely impressed with the total package for the price.
I'm a fan of hesalite crystals; they give a watch a nice vintage look.
Love the leather strap Did you buy direct?
Quoted from misterman:I'm always wearing this while playing Whirlwind.[quoted image]
Why WW?
Whitewater is good. Finding the pin is half the fun. Unfortunately, I always had to drive long distance or ship my pins. Never found much locally.
Quoted from atrainn:I've been trying to find a Speedmaster 176.0014 (TV Dial) for years, I finally managed to get a somewhat beat up piece for a steal last week. It arrived a couple days ago and I'm very excited. I have a replacement case, pushers, crown, crystal, and movement holder coming. Once those arrive I'll be getting it serviced and the bracelet polished. It should look great once all done![quoted image]
Good looking Omega, wasn't aware of that Speedmaster variation.
Quoted from epotech:oh that fills me with confidence in the build quality!
Could be a knock off
Quoted from Jgel:Do they make knock offs of Invictas?? Not trying to sound like a dick with that question honestly asking.
I’m not sure. Invictas are not that high-end of a watch to begin with. I live in Hong Kong and just across the border in Guangzhou China is ‘copy-watch’ heaven. I’ve never seen replica Invictas. Not to say that they’re not there though.
Quoted from NicoVolta:Modded the hands on the Guanqin and currently working on a 1964 Bally Big Day. Big ol' relay banks on this one.[quoted image]
Relay banks look clean!
Quoted from northvibe:Anyone know a place that repairs Timex watches? I have an old timex expedition analog w/ alarm clock crown. that I shipped to timex to fix...and timex @#$@#$ broke my watch and will not fix. so.....
WTF? They broke your watch and won’t fix it?
It’s been a while since I posted here. Here’s a few of my newer watches. The first is a Tudor Pelagos LHD (42mm), then two Bremonts; a Boeing 100 Limited Edition (300 pieces/43mm) commemorating Boeing’s 100th anniversary. This watch is special because I’m currently a Boeing 767 captain. The other is a Bremont Hawking Limited Edition (41mm/388 pieces) paying homage to Stephen Hawking’s knowledge of time.

Quoted from NicoVolta:Joined the MIB club a little late today, but better than never. Actually I'm looking a bit alien these days... better have the squad check me out soon.

Quoted from Jaeg:Kids surprised me with a Father's Day watch.

Can I adopt you kids?
Quoted from spfxted:How much was this watch. VERY nice!
It was $10K; list price. I purchased from the Bremont boutique in Hong Kong. I purchased most of my watches in Hong Kong. Many people consider HongKong and Japan watch meccas. It’s awesome that you can get practically any watch there. There is a literally a watch store on every corner in Central HK. There’s also pockets of town that sell every watch accessory imaginable. You can find bargains with used watches. However, if buying new from a dealer (or boutique) you’re gonna be paying list price. There’s lots of grey market dealers that will discount certain models of watches about 20%. It’s a matter of establishing a reputation with a reputable grey market dealer.
Quoted from ryanbrooks:Buddy of mine found this and rebuilt it. I just had to have it. Probably not worth $20, but it’s a cool AF looking automatic that’s small, light and unique

Quoted from Desmodromic:I'm a PAM junkie, my personal favorite. 44mm Luminor on a Bund is one chonky setup! Looks great on you.
Standby a couple weeks and I'll post some of my PAMs when I return home form vacation
Quoted from herg:I received an award from my employer this week for 20 years of service. We make hardware for Space, so their choice is even more meaningful.
I had been wearing a Citizen that my wife bought for my college graduation and had never went down the rabbit hole of learning about watches. I'm trying not to get pulled into another expensive hobby, but I love the new watch and plan to keep and wear it.[quoted image]
Fantastic watch! Much nicer than the 20 year gift I got from my employer!
Quoted from wdbthree:Happen to be wearing my favorite today. Added to the collection to celebrate 20th wedding anniversary and 25th work anniversary. Had had my eye on this one for a looong time. Love the digital/analog combo. And the red accent in the date and reserve just pop.
